Cons:Rented at Burbank and wanted to change the drop off to LAX because my flight changed but I couldn’t because LAX is a franchise. I had to drop car at Burbank then Uber to LAX. Very inconvenient. Going cheaper doesn’t work outReviewed May 16 2019

great experience!Pros:rented at Burbank airport which was incredibly easier compared to LAX and almost every other airport i've ever rented a car at... Unfortunately there was no one at the payless desk when i walked up, but fortunately all the other rental desks had no customers and they took care of me! super fast, easy, and ridiculous pricing like i've never seen. Was in disbelie about what a great deal!! I booked the car the SAME day, 2 hours prior to picking it up, and got a nissan Versa for monday-thursday for a hundred bucks all-in!! Just look for another place to rentPros:I truly can't say anything positive about them.Cons:I got to the desk and there were 2 customers ahead of me. No big deal. After 35 minutes of waiting, I was starting to get frustrated, especially since one employee simply stood behind the desk but did nothing. When it was finally my turn, they told me the card system was down, so they'd have to write down my card number and cvv code and run it later. Sorry, but that's the key to credit card fraud. It would have been courteous for the them to say to the people waiting in line "hey sorry for the delay our card machine is down." I noped out, went to another agency and had a car in about 10 minutes. Won't ever go back to Payless again.Reviewed Feb 13 2018
