Pros: I really enjoyed my time here. Lovely view from restaurant terrace and the breakfast was wonderful. The location is perfect - right across from the boat and near the castle. Toiletries and towels are very nice. I agree with others about the elevator but plan accordingly and you'll be fine. Staff were efficient and helpful - not super chipper but hard working and had answers. Loaded with Americans but so is all of Cinque Terre. Leave the hotel and you hear the Italian.

Pros: The Hotel is right in the centre of Porto Venere, and is the old Convent so has something of the old as well as good modern facilities. It is easy to reach from La Spezia, (bus, taxi, boat). We found it good base to explore the Cinque Terra coast and national park.It is good also for just relaxing in Porto Venere with its sea harbour, cafes, restaurants and shops.Dont miss the mid august festival period with the procession for the White Maddona,a visually stunning experience.

Pros: The owners were fantastic! Even the people we were directed to have breakfast at, were fantastic! We were driven to a carpark and driven back to the hotel. We showed up and were offered a free upgrade to our rooms (originally supposed to have 1 room for 4 people, gave us 2 double rooms for the same price). The rooms were the largest we've ever stayed in while traveling through Europe. Beds were very comfortable. Perfect location to catch a train if you're traveling the Cinque Terre or any of the small villages nearby. Originally were only supposed to stay 1 night in La Spezia at Casa Dane but stayed an extra night because of the location and hospitality. Definitely recommend this hotel!

Pros: Hotel has a convenient location, close to where you might like to board a ferry to view the C.T. Reception staff were very helpful. Pros: We stayed at this hotel due to my husband having a medical incident while on vacation in the Cinque Terre. He was in hospital in La Spezia and this hotel is well located near the hospital and also overlooking the harbout. When my husband was discharged from hospital, we stayed in a junior suite that was perfect for our needs. The staff were very obliging in helping us to have accessibility in an older building. As well there is a good breakfast included on the lobby level and a restaurant off the 1st floor. We found the restaurant to be lovely because it has an outdoor terrace overlooking the harbour; however, the menu is essentially the same everyday with limited buffet options. That is where we could see some room for growth.

Pros: unfortunately I would find anyting positive to comment on at this hotel from our experience. As a hotel broker I see many hotels and the service and price of this hotel is far from satisfactory. Our room was not as described, we experienced insects in the room, the room was not clean and in need of repair of basic utilities. The service from the staff was far from satisfactory, rude and unhelpfull. I would struggle to recomend this hotel to any traveller.
