Pros: The hosts were perfect. Such a nice couple! Best breakfast on our roadtrip. Direct access to the wonderful white beach. Wine reception every afternoon with the hosts. Small with personal service. Fully equiped kitchen and living room in the appartment. Would everybody recommend to stay here, when you like the personal touch
Cons: We rented the appartment, which was directly beside the highway, which was very noisy all day and night.

Pros: Rooms had beautiful decor and great features (except for the refrigerator), particularly for business travelers.
Cons: We were visiting in the area on vacation. We had checked, when reserving the room for beach front access. This hotel is miles from the beach. It is near a waterway, but the only water access is by boat. We also needed a decent refrigerator and their rooms had microscopically small units.

Pros: I loved everything about this hotel! The staff was amazing. Great location to the Warf. Tons of things to do within walking distance.
Cons: There were not enough trash cans in the room. Believe it or not this was very irritating.

Pros: It was very nice with a clean feel!
Cons: We didn't have towels when we arrived at 3pm and I had to call about 3 times until I went downstairs to see what was the holdup at 10:00pm that night.
Best Western Premier The Tides - Orange Beach - Building

Overview Reviews
The Best Western Premier The Tides is located directly on the beach in the heart of beautiful Orange Beach, Alabama. This brand new unique hotel experience is centered on you, the view and the true blue Gulf of Mexico. Enjoy sweeping views of Alabama’s famous beaches from your private hotel balcony, our bright, expansive fourth floor lobby and our beachfront pool deck. Enjoy surprising amenities like grab & go deli, two on-site bars, rocket fast free wireless high-speed internet, poolside fire pit, free beach cruising bikes, covered parking, full-sized beach towels and more. When you want to get your toes in the white sand, the beach and the Gulf of Mexico are always just steps away. Our views stretch as far as the horizon, and so do the opportunities for making memories. You’ll feel like you’re staying in a big beach house with all the people you love most. (Only better because we’ll do the cleaning).
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing views from nearly every angle! Absolutely loved our our side-view room and also enjoyed having coffee on the lobby’s extended outdoor patio. Easy access to the beach, comfy beds, great breakfast, convenient parking, and super friendly staff!
Cons: Only regret is that I didn’t stay long enough! (And also that I lost my car key in the sand) But even then, the staff was super accommodating and helpful as we lounged in the lobby waiting for the locksmith all day!
9,4 Excellent
Pros: Basically everything at the Tides is great. Previously, we had typically stayed at a regular Best Western or maybe once at a Plus property. The quality difference on a Premier location is evident immediately with this place. The property opened in June 2016, so everything has that "new" feel to it. The entire building has a contemporary beach chic style to it. The lobby is on the fourth floor, and joins a large dining/lounge/bar area with huge windows and an unobstructed view of the Gulf. This space serves multiple purposes, including a bar area, entrance to the spa and the dining area for their free and ample hot breakfasts each morning. My wife's only critique: no bacon. But I enjoyed the two varieties of sausage available. The pool area is definitely nice but not necessarily remarkable. It has an outdoor bar with pool and hot tub partially hidden under the building overhang. A little more separation from the bottom-floor parking lot would be nice, but still pleasant. The property has its own walkway directly onto the sand, which is a must for us. The fire pit along the side of the pool bar is a nice touch, and was a welcome stop after a chilly evening walk on the beach. Rooms mainly start on the fifth floor, which guarantees a great view - if you select the right room. Some are "beach view" which means somewhere along the side. There are only about 25 "beach front" rooms, which mean they directly face the water. Be sure to ask for them if that's what you prefer. All told, this is a great property, and we will probably stay again.
Cons: My only complaint is the same I always have: the pillows and mattress. The bed could easily be fixed with a small foam mattress topper. But the pillows are the typical hotel terrible. I eventually used 4 to get comfortable. Bring your own. Our bed's comforter also had a small stain on it, but this was minor.

9,4 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very helpful and friendly, the Inn clean and well maintained. Not on the beach but close and with nice beach access and golf cart shuttles to the beach entrance. All rooms in this area are pricier than you'd think compared to other areas on the gulf but these prices are in line and fair .
Cons: My only complaint was the ice maker on the third floor was not working ... other floors worked fine and staff called in a work order to get it repaired .
9,7 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable and clean. Great location By a Walmart and across the street from the beach. Breakfast was great.
9,7 Excellent
Pros: Free breakfast, wifi, swimming pool and hot tub. The staff was overly friendly and the location is great. A very short walk to the beach( short enough for my 2 year old) but they also have a shuttle if you need it. Several restaurants, ice cream shop, and grocery stores in walking distance
Cons: Nothing to complain about except maybe better eggs with breakfast. They serve premade egg foam circles (but still very edible)
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast included, convenient location, excellent shuttle service to cross street to beach.

Pros: The bed was super comfortable the staff was very friendly, they were accommodating a high school band competition but they had plenty to eat for breakfast

8,0 Excellent
Pros: Room was excellent, great view of the beach - loved the location the most.
Cons: Spa/jacuzzi area was filthy (hair, garbage, leaves floating) and there was so much chlorine our eyes burned from five minutes in there. loud college kids drinking and smoking around pool at night (felt less like a resort and more like a cheap spring break hotel).
9,4 Excellent
Pros: The room was very nice, clean, pretty spacious. We had no complaints with the room or staff.
Cons: We just thought it was a bit overpriced. I will qualify that by saying, I know it was peek season but at 299 a night it was a bit much. We are use to staying in a multi bedroom condo with kitchen for those prices. We were just staying one night and a lot of other places were booked up so I understand. I'd stay again under similar circumstances.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everyone was really nice and the staff kept everything nice and clean.
Cons: The bar at the pool closed at 6pm, it would be nice to be outside and enjoy a drink after dark.
6,5 Good
Pros: Slept great in the bed. Very comfortable pillows and mattress, and the room was very clean. The view of the gulf overlooking the pool was gorgeous. The piano player in the lobby was great and many people enjoyed dancing in the evening.
Cons: One of the elevators was broken, so their was only one working on our side. Their was a retreat that weekend with hundreds of loud and obnoxious teenagers. We hopped on the elevator after waiting for it for about 10 minutes and the 10 kids that were on it had pressed all of the elevator floor buttons before they got off as a prank. It was really really annoying. We finally made it to the 9th floor where our room was and unloaded. When we went outside to relax on the balcony the kids at the pool and on the balconies across the hotel on the other side had laser pointers flashing and shining in our eyes. We saw the potential of having an enjoyable time had everything worked and the kids not been there but unfortunately we did not enjoy our stay at all. We wanted to eat breakfast the next morning at their restaurant but it was so chaotic and crowded the wait was too long. We ended up going to Waffle House and leavaing early.
9,4 Excellent
Pros: Th location is perfect. We love staying at Perdido Beach Resort. The views are fantastic. The rooms are nice and spacious.
Cons: We encountered a rude valet upon arrival. She was probably just having a bad day. Latitude 30 restaurant was a major let down. We wouldn't go back to this restaurant.
8,2 Excellent
Pros: What a beautiful beachfront view from our room! The room faced directly to the Gulf, almost entirely unobstructed. The bed was surprisingly comfortable, and the staff made sure we had plenty of pillows. The resort is well-appointed, with several restaurants, a gift shop and an office to book any type of water adventures you might want. We only ate at Latitude 30 this time, but it was quite good for the price. We didn't eat at Voyager's this time, but we have in the past, and it was one of the most memorable dining experiences I've ever had. It's also very close to many great shops at San Roc Cay, including some exceptional restaurants. The white sand beaches of Orange Beach simply can't be beat. Make sure to reserve lounge chairs and umbrella on the beach; at $30 a day they're not cheap but absolutely worth it, especially if you burn easily.
Cons: Coffee service in lobby ends at 9am, and no other beverages in lobby - disappointing from a full service resort. Despite booking in advance, our room was not ready at 4pm as promised, and the staff did not offer any perks as a result of our inconvenience. The in-room coffee was not an award winner either, but seemed to be somehow better on the second day. Has the typical awful pillows as most hotels do, though I would have expected something slightly better from this resort.
8,2 Excellent
Pros: Had everything we needed. Destiny at the front desk was the most pleasant and helpful person we came across. The industry needs more stars like her.
Cons: Be aware of your room location. We could smell the garbage that we were put by the whole time. Latitude30 service was terrible. Slow, and not how we requested. Charged for items we never received but manager never was available. One server on a holiday night.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Proximity to beach and local amenities.
Cons: We found no fault.
8,5 Excellent
Pros: We had a great time. It is centrally located and right on the beach.
Cons: There were some self described "Frat boys" that were pretty awful on the beach, but when they moved up to the pool and began urinating in the shrubs the hotel security quickly corrected them and I did not see them again.
7,1 Good
Pros: Excellent location. Food at resturants very good. Right on tbe neach
Cons: Room not cool enough and bed is harder than we likd
10,0 Excellent
Pros: This is place is really nice and not expensive. Definitely staying here again.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Our balcony was huge with an amazing view of the beach . It was room #5015 . Everyone was so friendly and the place was very clean . We will stay there again !
Cons: No negative comments on the hotel .

Pros: Loves the Island House Hotel. Right on the beach, complimentary pool towels and beach towels, cafe on premises with great food and reasonably priced, and plenty of room on the beach. Highly recommend!

Pros: The location is fantastic and the staff is wonderful!
7,0 Good
Pros: The location was good. The pool is nice.
Cons: They didn't furnish a refrigerator or microwave. They offered to rent one for $20 / night. It seem everything was for additional price.
6,6 Good
Pros: Family friendly
Cons: Staff wasn't very friendly. When I checked out the woman had her cellphone out and vapor cigarette. She was short with me when I asked if I would receive a receipt.
9,1 Excellent
Pros: The balcony overlooking the water was nice and there was a great view of the beach. Rooms were clean, bed was comfy.
Cons: It was very noisy. Our room was right in front of the elevators. I think there should be more soundproofing in this room because we heard all people getting off elevators, talking and some with blaring music after 11pm. Also the room next to us had their TV blasting and when their TV wasn't on their voices were really loud. The A/C unit in the room is very loud. It is in the window, not central A/C so it was noisy when it circulated on, and actually woke me up several times during the night.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing
3,7 Mediocre
Pros: The rooms and the view were amazing.
Cons: When I booked the hotel it said I was getting a king bed with balcony. I came to orange beach with my fiancé. However, when I got there they gave me too queen size beds, knowing we were together. Mind you I booked the room a month before. I had to argue with the front desk for thirty min until they FINALLY gave me what I asked for. Why not just do it right the first time? Why tell me you don't have an availability and then thirty min later when I said to cancel they said "oh we may have a room actually...." Get the f... Out of here. Really? Not to mention when you ask for towels the manager front desk lady has the biggest attitude. Great view but without good service this place is nothing. Treat people how you would want to be treated. I will not be coming back.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Shower was awesome. Corner room was AMAZING! Loved the place.
7,7 Good
Pros: The best part of staying at this hotel was access to the beautiful beach and the view. Every room faces the gulf. The room was clean and toiletries were higher end.
Cons: The tv guide was missing, the pillows were lumpy and the bed was further than i prefer.
