Pros: Fantastic staff, great location, lovely building and balcony. Staff were so helpful.
Cons: Perhaps the bed was a little hard
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Our host Romina went above and beyond to help us settle in and gather info on things do.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: We had a family room with two separate bedrooms. The rooms were HUGE (both floor space, and height) and it was nice to be able to spread out. They were also beautifully clean. Our host, Romina, asked what time we would be arriving and met us outside to help with our bags up to the room, which was a lovely gesture. She then ran us through all the INS and outs of the room, and provided some helpful advice and timetables regarding the Ferries and Trains.
Cons: Room was a little noisy, as it was Halloween, and there was a bar across the road. Other than that, the stay was great.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: location was great. Place was spacious and our host went out of her way to make us feel comfortable and welcome.
Cons: I didn't like only staying one night - should definitely have stayed longer!!!

10,0 Excellent

Pros: Great view without compromise. Cosy hotel on the top of the mountain with the view to the coast and the city. Booked it because of the view and the pool, and did not disappointed. Perfect if you want escape from the noise of the city and enjoy panoramic view from the terrace or the balcony of your room.
Cons: I do not consider it as disadvantage but if you have no car should consider having a taxi as it is outside the city and moutain road is quite steep.

Pros: The lady who handled the check-in was off her rockers crazy.
Cons: The bed was seriously uncomfortable.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Nice staff Very good location . Very good bathroom

8,8 Excellent
Pros: Confortable bed, very nice shower! Close to the train station that take to Cinqueterre. Very welcoming staff, they explained everything about the city and Cinqueterre very carefuly.
Cons: Very small bathroom, sheets were not soft. The hotel confirmed they had a garage spot, wich we’ve booked after informing our type of car (they told us it would fit). When we arrived we’ve found out that the garage is very very very small. A sedan would never fit in that spot. Anyway they helped us find a other place to park the car (not very close but ok. Free parking).

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely apartments with a spectacular view. Lots of space, comfy and very clean.
Cons: An added bonus would be for the microwave oven to be a combination microwave oven. Unfortunately the little food shop in the village has closed and as a returning visitor we were unaware. Would be good if at all possible to make guests aware before arrival. These are not criticisms just nice to haves in the future if possible
10,0 Excellent
Pros: great place with a great view. Actually, if you have a car, It s way better to stay here than in one of the 5 terre cities, because access there is not that easy and you won t have a pool and that much space. Eating can be a problem, because it has no restaurant, it s self check in, there is a restaurant next to the hotel, but you ll surely eat at restaurants in 5 terre.
Cons: can t say

Cons: Nothing
2,9 Mediocre
Pros: Dirty bedrooms were very small one of the you old even put your case in your room floor was dirty towels very thin and had stains on them not great location
Cons: Photos of room looks great to what you get
6,7 Good
Pros: The location was nice - between the railway station and pedestrian street with stores and cafes. For those traveling by car - there is a free parking, host showed us the route after we unloaded the luggage.
Cons: The place is a big apartment with shared common area and private rooms. The room itself was rather basic. We stayed in the biggest room with a bath tub. On the first sight everything was nice, but then we noticed tiny things that made our stay less pleasant - for example there was no place to hang shower on the wall while showering. Breakfast - you get a voucher in cafe nearby for 1 drink + 1 pastry.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Francesca was wonderfully helpful and explained a lot about the Cinque Terre. The location of the apartment is near the train station (about 5/10 minute walk) and right in the center of La Spezia. When you close the windows & doors, almost no noise comes into your room. Apartment was clean and Francesca even cleaned it further. She also helped with the parking in the center so we could park for free in the neighborhood.
Cons: The bottom of the shower could be a little cleaner (corners)
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The place is centrally located, next to the old town and shopping area. Great fontain views! Nice and clean very well managed flat. And Franceska is a real help!
Cons: We got the separate bathroom with the room, but it was in the other end of the flat.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: La casa della Fontana is in the very center of La Spezia. Possition is great, and the room. We really love this place. Francesca is very helpfull. We took the boat to visit 5 Terre, it is just 5-10 min walk from the apartment. All around are restaurants and shops. Francesca gave us her parking in garage (15€ per day), which was great, it's just aroud the corner. The place is spacious and very clean. Perfect!
Cons: We love everything about this place.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Very nice modern apartment. Great breakfast in a coffee next to the building and perfect location! 200m to train staring.

Pros: And honest get what you pay for. Its not the Ritz but the location is great, Its clean and the owners are on site to help out. Took us 15 mins to walk to the train station and probably 3 mins to walk to the waterfront and port area. Yes the shower is small, yes there are stairs to the accommodation but our lighting was good and the room was cheerful..
Cons: Nothing apart from other renters not returning cups to the shared area with free tea and coffee. There are stairs, located on first floor of residential building, so anyone with disabilities or lots of luggage...probably not the best accommodation for you

3,0 Mediocre
Pros: the location is directly across from the railway station, La Spezia Centrale. That is the only good thing, we had a late arrival and did not have to search for the hotel.
Cons: This is a 2 star hotel at it's best. We are not hotel snobs by any means, but, the room first assigned to us was put together like a mobile home, you could see every screw, did not even look like it was completed. The space is not organized for travelers. The owners seem so be difficult to please, the employees were being talked down to. The cakes served were days old, they say homemade, but, that did not seem to be a benefit. They seem to want to save money at the guests expense, the minimum amount of light bulbs were used, so the bed side table did not have a light bulb and every other bulb was working. We stayed there 8 years ago, and although the room was spartan, it was clean. This time, yes, it is clean, but, everything is so old. They are misrepresenting themselves as a 3 star. The owners are not hospitable, you are almost waiting to be scolded. Our next hotel in Genoa and Pisa stood out in their hospitality as it did in Vicenza. There is very little speaking in the breakfast room as though you will get into trouble. I would not recommend a stay there.
6,0 Good
Pros: The location is perfect for the station but also the town.
Cons: The breakfast was poor relative to other hotels and it seemed to us that breads etc were put out day after day (ie not fresh).

Pros: Friendly staffs were polite and helpful. Breakfast was very good. Many varieties. Location was very easy to walk to square where all the restaurants are. Right cross the street to the La Spezia train station, trains run to 5 Cinque Terre villages all day. Clean room nice hot shower. Great stay for mainly shower and sleep. I was traveling to Cinque Terre everyday and the room was quiet even though there was a street out the window. Very secured lock. Price is right.
6,5 Good
Pros: This hotel is right across the street from the main hotel which is good if you're passing through.
Cons: Shower was itty bitty!
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Booked for convenience to train station. Close (several blocks) to restaurants. Staff was friendly and responded to questions.
Cons: The pedestrian mall where the restaurants were gets a little “shady” later at night. We had no issues, but did feel uncomfortable.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Closeness to railway station

9,2 Excellent
Pros: Very nice, modern room. Very clean and quiet.
Cons: A warmer blanket would have been nice.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Nice looking room, the TV had netflix which my partner was very happy with. Comfortable bed. Very well cleaned. Spacious size. Good location close to train station and town.
Cons: The room was noisy at night - unsure where the noise was coming from - we think perhaps the lift. We both awoke several times thinking someone was breaking in our room. Also the fire alarm had a light which flashed all night. No tea or coffee facilities.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Excellent range for breakfast, very well located midway between railway station and town centre
Cons: The room was only accessible by stairs meant luggage had to be carried so would not suit less fit and view was to fire escape but we did book the economy room so accept that this was the reason.
6,7 Good
Pros: Not very helpful, not very welcoming staff. Lighting problems in our room were not solved as they said we had to keep the room key in the designated slot! Why on earth would we not do that! So we just gave up and merely switched the lights back on whenever they went off.
Cons: As above.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: Parking
7,9 Good
Pros: Location near the city center and the train station, the staff was friendly, the size of the room and the mattress.
Cons: A lot of noise in the room coming from the appliances, we couldn't have a decent sleep. Also the pillows are too hard, like a stone. There is no elevator for the first floor, you have to climb the stairs. Breakfast for 15e / person is too expensive

8,3 Excellent
Pros: very nice staff. Clean. recommend.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: The staff were so helpful and accommodating. The breakfast was very good with excellent variety and I would make particular note of how friendly and efficient the team were.
Cons: The hotel layout was quite dysfunctional with a single small lift and we found ourselves walking the 7 floors to breakfast. I ALSO found the shower exceptionally small and I am not a large man.
6,3 Good
Pros: The location was pretty good - close to the city centre and pretty close to the train station as well but I have to say, the alleys closest to the hotel are awful and can get very uncomfortable at night. Staff at the reception - 5/5 but staff at the bar and breakfast - 2/5, hence the overall rating.
Cons: The room was too big and felt very uncomfortable. We were housed in a room with a large balcony overlooking those shady streets (see above) and heard weird noises at night. We had no real feeling of safety in the room and were not satisfied with it. Granted, this only affects a small number of guests, it was still a problem for us. The breakfast was extremely poor for a 4* hotel. Lack of fresh fruits - they brought fruit salad at around 8:00 am, while the breakfast started at 7:00 am -> when you want to head out for a trip early in the morning, even 1 hour makes a difference. When you place a whole pineapple on the breakfast tray, you cannot consider it a fresh fruit as there is no way to cut it up - it was more for show than for eating. If your destination is Cinque Terre, I would not recommend staying in La Spezia but rather consider in Monterosso or Levante.
8,3 Excellent
Cons: A/C turned off for the remainder of the season.

Pros: Everything perfect

8,3 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very friendly and helpful at the reception. We could buy the train tickets to Cinque terre and they provided shuttle to the train station. Unfortunately due to the bad weather, the boats didn't go that day, but the lady at the reception called the port, so when we went to have breakfast, she already had the information about it. Free car park, good breakfast, comfortable bed. Wi-fi work really on the 4th floor.
Cons: The location is partly good, as it is close to the motorway, but on the other hand it is at least 20 minutes walk to the centre or to the port. But ask the lady at the reception which bus takes you to the city center, as the bus station is just opposite the hotel. And walking home in the evening is just not the best choice on your own.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Easy to deal with and very helpful with locations for dinner and getting to/from with Cinque Terre...they were wonderful

Cons: No parking and attention to details really bad. Not recommendable
7,5 Good
Pros: Very good location.
Cons: Some renovation activity is needed in bathroom. Inside door are demmaged and needs rto be repear.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Was a last minute stop dues to terrible weather and touring on a motorbike... Was very helpful
Cons: No heating at the time and we needed to dry our clothes
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Staff members Mirko and Paola were welcoming and friendly. Unfortunately the large woman on reception when we arrived was unfriendly and claimed that if my sister and I wanted two beds we could find another hotel (and not be charged! Wow) when it was a simple matter of separating two single beds. She allocated us a room on the less scenic side of the hotel despite me paying for a deluxe room with a view, so we were a little disappointed. But thankfully I only dealt with Mirko (and Paola once) thereafter and was treated well. The hotel is in a great area and we felt safe.
Cons: The large woman with a bad attitude (I didn’t seek her name and avoided her thereafter) on reception on the day we checked in, a back room on the less scenic side of the hotel which she allocated us.
4,6 Okay
Pros: Location: right across the harbour, if you want to take the boat for Cinque Terre; Parking: very close Europe Parking , 12 € per day
Cons: Specialy the bathroom....a strange sensation that is not clean , nicely beeing said.... Black mold on the corners, the sink ... I put a tissue in the hole not to see the dirt...Bathtub very sleepery, dangerous to stand and take a shower! In the room crakers on the walls! Something above the bad with dust....Very very desapointing for a 4 stars NH...and very expensive offering a room like that... with view ....
7,5 Good
