The staff when we checked in were so kind and hospitable, personally gave us a tour of the property and all of the gorgeous features, showed us to our room and made sure we were happy! Continental breakfast was included which was very nice! There are 4 pools, lots of secluded lounging areas and everything was pristine! In the morning we saw the property manager (I believe) walking around and making sure everything was in order, picking up palm leaves that had fallen, etc. All of the staff were so nice! The vegetation around the property was stunning! The room and bathroom were so clean, welcoming and the sheets and bed were very comfortable!

The resort is a short 15 minute drive from the Key West International Airport (EYW) and 2.5 hours from the Miami International Airport (MIA).

Cons: The price. All in all, it ended up costing us over $700 for one night and this was a room without a view and with a “lanai” that was more of a very, mini balcony. Keeping in mind when you are in Key West, you don’ t spend much time in your room, I can complain that much - just next time I won’t book such a nice place :)

Pros: The location was great, right on Duval Street, between the Southernmost Point and Mallory Square, so you could go to either one easily. The room was large, spacious and clean. We had a large balcony facing Duval Street and got $10 vouchers per person for free breakfast at the adjoining restaurant, which had excellent food! The noise was not a problem at all. There is no parking on site, but the staff helps you find parking and we got to park right at the corner of the hotel, 30 seconds away!

Large clean rooms, great patio and view, enjoyed swimming in the pool, the staff was excellent along with the restaurant where we were given a daily $10 coupon each for breakfast every day until noon. Wonderful service as well as 2 happy hours. I was in two different rooms and the beds in both were so comfortable, best sleep I have had in a long time. Great location walked to everything except for taking a bike to Fort Zachery to tour and then spent the day on the beach. Used the Key West Express to get to Key West and they let us in the room early plus kept our bags on check out until we were ready to catch the boat so we didn’t have to lug it around. Used lift only once and that was to get back with bags to the Express which only cost a few bucks.

Cons: The shower. Valet parking at $35/ night plus tax! The staff was business like and not overly friendly. Also, there was construction in the room next door which meant loud noise starting at 8am both days we were there. They even cut the power without telling us while I was in the shower and my wife was getting ready. They reinstated the power after I called the front desk and waited until we were done to cut it again.

Cons: Unfortunately the housekeeping staff threw out all the groceries I had in the refrigerator while I was in the middle of my stay, but the front desk staff was apologetic and reimbursed me the cost. However, I was staying in one of the dormitory rooms and also came back in the afternoon to find the snacks I had on the top bunk under my pajamas and behind my pillows were gone. This felt a little more intentional since someone had to climb up on the bed and dig under things to find. That was disappointing but ultimately my fault for locking up.

Later thete were 6 motorcycles parked in the area we asked about and blocking the back gate. Manager was told my displeasure, the motorcycles were moved from blocking the drive but still able to park in the area we had asked for but told no. A couple started arguing very loudly at 2:30 am until 4:30 am, right in front of the reception area, so no sleeping until they were done with their drunken brawl.

Cons: As I saw in previous reviews, parking stinks and not adequately addressed on the website. The six spots are first come, first served and no list to sign up. Since checkout is 11, you could possibly waste all morning being first come. The desk clerk who checked me in showed no interest in being friendly, never smiled, was short with me and did not review the wifi access so I had to go back. The other clerks I interacted with were great.

Cons: I've stayed at Waldorf Astoria properties before, and this one just didn't quite match up: I requested a king room and we got a room with two doubles and there was nothing else available; one of the pillowcases upon arrival to the room appeared to be smeared with dried blood from someone's nose and when we asked the front desk to replace it, they said they would do it right away but it wasn't changed until the next day; the housekeeping staff didn't seem to have a checklist of any sort, because every day something was missing (towels, coffee pods, water). The common spaces were lovely but - fully aware we had booked a room at a discounted rate - the room was pretty dingy, which surprised me for a WA property.

Cons: The resort was nice but it had a few down falls to it. The piers located on the property were damaged and closed. The staff was not very informative and semi friendly. The breakfast on the resort was super expensive. There was not jacuzzi or hot tub and the beach barely had access to the water, only a small piece of the area you could walk from the sand into the water. The rest of it was lines with large boulders or rocks. The pool area did not have any shallow areas for small children and no splash pads.

Cons: Tile floors were stained and sticky. Mildew smell. Mattress and pillows old and uncomfortable. Air conditioner could barely keep up. Room included a refrigerator, but this also wasn't that cold even on the highest setting.

Cons: The building is dated and worn, it part of its charm. It worked great for us. We were concerned with the room next to ours they were loud and smoking heavy (the smoking came in our window). The concern ended quickly and the guys next to us ended up being no problem at all.

Cons: There was loud construction at 8 am right outside our door, the layout was very confusing, and we were hit with last minute fees. The room was that of any cheap hotel... It was not worth the thousands of dollars we spent to stay here.

Cons: Hotel in desperate need of refurbishment. Not a great room. Terrible smell caused by seaweed (not the fault of the hotel). I was expecting something much better based on the images. Nearly checked out the day I arrived but decided to stick with it. Pool was nice (just about far enough from the seaweed).

Cons: The hotel was in very poor condition, and although it is scheduled to be closed for renovations, there is no way it should be operational, in its current condition without disclosure. To add insult to injury, the beach was so loaded with seaweed, the odor was horrendous. This was the worst hotel I have stayed at in 20 years.

Cons: The room wasn't clean. Customer service wasn't good. The smell outside, as soon as you get out of room was very bad. You couldn't use the beach in front of hotel.Wifi wasn't working. Cons: Hotel was very old and not worth paying $'----- a night. The Reach hotel doesnt have a direct number and even to order extra toiletries to your room it goes through Casa Maria ( other Waldorf hotel in key west) and No housekeeping got it for us.

Cons: Hotel Room AC did not work well room was warm and humid. Shower water took several minutes to warm up. Room and bathroom doors were rusty and dirty. Valet parking is only option and Valet guys don't want to work early morning and take forever to get car.
