Pros: Hotel was busy and very noisy in the afternoon, unable to sit and relax, had to find another venue to find some room and a relaxing atmosphere. Fortunately Keswick always has somewhere to find a relaxing . We won’t be rushing back to this hotel as the choice of other venues is better. Probably our one and only visit to this hotel. Facilities were good and food acceptable but left with the feeling it wasn’t great value for money.

Cons: The mechanics of obtaining a hot shower were difficult. Bar shutting at midnight exactly even when 13 people still in bar (14/02), my previous experience of staying at a hotel were that the bar stayed open when people were still present. ( Obviously within reason!)

Pros: The location is fantastic - it’s on the market square so local facilities are on your doorstep and Keswick is perfectly placed for a walk to Derwentwater or to Skiddaw, Latrigg etc. The staff could not be better - they offer an excellent, professional service but also great conversation and warmth, they make you feel very welcome. The food was great too as well as the bar area, it’s a very nice place to sit and have a meal or a drink. Being (very!) dog friendly is a massive plus for us too. Really can’t fault it one bit.

Cons: The nightclub which is situated across from our room. We were woken up by loud screams and noise which continued for a long time. We were upgraded to room 16 but to be honest I think we would have preferred a room at the back or even the front of the hotel.

Pros: Great, freshly cooked breakfast. Excellent location - right in the town centre and only a 5 mins walk from the bus station. Rooms were nice and clean, and the beds were comfy. We had arrived early but luckily we could check in around 11 am, and we could leave our luggage with reception after check-out so we could explore a bit more before our buses arrived.

Pros: Great, freshly cooked breakfast. Excellent location - right in the town centre and only a 5 mins walk from the bus station. Rooms were nice and clean, and the beds were comfy. We had arrived early but luckily we could check in around 11 am, and we could leave our luggage with reception after check-out so we could explore a bit more before our buses arrived.
Cons: Stairs are quite narrow which wasn't a problem for us but may be for those with larger/heavier suitcases (no lifts)

Cons: The heating wasn't sufficient for January and the shower was a trickle. You have to put the kettle on the floor to reach the socket.

Cons: Bed was broken & mattress collapsing on one side. They mended it but we’d already had one poor night out of only two. Shower flow was so poor it was impossible to wash hair and rinse it properly.

Cons: The breakfast wasn't worth the money, luke warm and most of the dishes were empty at 9.10am. It was topped up towards the end but the timing wasn't ideal.

Cons: Have stayed in the hotel before. Stayed in the apartments this year. The hotel was much better, rooms were nicer and felt much more of a luxury. Booked the new years eve meal which we have had the previous year. Our order was not taken correctly, which resulted in a wait for us. The staff and chefs did resolve this as best they could. We felt the meal and atmosphere was not a patch on the previous year. This was unfortunate.

Cons: Very tired, in need of updating. Carpets and decor grubby. Curtains in the room didn’t fit the windows, shabby. Bathroom suite was in need of updating. Cracked tiles, shower although good was over the bath.
