Good 7,5
Pros: Room size, facilities and breakfast
Cons: The price, but it was during Edinburgh Fringe
Good 7,1
Pros: Location was good, did not stay for breakfast as was woken in early hours by banging doors so got up and left at around 3.30am. Staff very pleasant.
Cons: Doors need silent shutters on them to stop banging every time someone opens a door. Also a lot of noise outside my window up to 8pm (room 203) by staff going to cardboard skip etc. The fact that you had to walk outside if going to swimming or gym, especially embarrassing if you are in the gowns provided in rooms.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Wonderful location, friendly and helpful staff, excellent food, lovely spa and pool. Beautiful surroundings, quiet and secluded. Lovely to see cattle grazing, like being in the heart of the country yet close to airport and park and ride to city.
Cons: Difficult to find any faults.
Excellent 9,0
Pros: The staff were exceptional in every department. The breakfast was a triumph with an amazing array of options. the location is beautiful with amazing and extensive grounds and a spa with a fantastic pool.
Cons: There is one drawback in that the location is a little isolated however the sheer beauty of the place makes up forthe fact that you have to get taxis everywhere.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: The spa was excellent and the staff
Cons: N/A
Excellent 8,8
Pros: The Spa was amazing. Excellent, clean well equipped. The room was good, great mattress, very comfy bed. The place itself is really nice like a walk out of the world. Room was nice, spacious and clean.
Cons: The restaurant of the spa was disappointing. Very basic. We ordered salmon toasts with avocado but only one toast came with stuffing, the other was empty ... (what is the point of bringing a piece of bread with nothing on it ?). For the price I would not recommend (and we had to wait 45 min for something that I would do at home in 5 min) but apart from that would definitely recommend
Okay 5,8
Cons: The cleanliness of the room.. very dusty and tv in bath was not working! Had to wait almost an hour for this to be resolved!
Excellent 9,6
Pros: Great location for airport, clean, comfortable, nice room and very good food in the restaurant. But the best was the fantastic, friendly and enthusiastic service from all of the staff we encountered. We have travelled the world extensively and this was the best staff service anywhere.
Cons: Nothing.
Excellent 9,2
Pros: The spa was great at this place. Dispite being near the airport this place was very relaxing and never heard a thing in the time spent in the hotel which is great
Cons: There was nothing not to like. All staff very attentive. Great place to stay.
Excellent 9,2
Pros: This is a great property just outside of town. Beautiful buildings, very comfortable and good restaurant. The spa is beautiful.

Okay 4,6
Pros: Comfy bed but flat pillows. Toiletries provided.
Cons: The shared bathroom was in between our room and twin room with laminate floors whole area was very noisy. There is a lounge area there too so no privacy as two men from twin room scrutinised bathroom on the mornings then proceeded to sit in lounge area talking so also noisy and could not go to toilet at 6.30am without dressing. The main road is like the m1 trying to get in and out as very tight walled area and we had to park away from the Bandb as no space available in car park on return that evening. Fresh milk provided in a jug with cling film but shared fridge so other room used it all and biscuits only on arrival.
Good 7,1
Pros: Everything was very nice. Had everything we needed. Hosts vere very nice and breakfast was good.
Cons: The bed was very uncomfortable and in desperate need of replacing. Not a good nights sleep and backache in the morning. Shame.
Excellent 9,6
Pros: The room was bigger than expected. Late arrival was no problem with a ”key box”, and the breakfast was excellent (much better than expected).
Excellent 9,6
Pros: Very good hosts, included parking at property, clean comfortable room and excellent breakfast
Excellent 8,3
Pros: Small lounge with tv and fridge available for our use. Our bedroom was nice and quiet.
Cons: We hadn't expected to have a twin bedded room , nor a shared bathroom, where the toilet, washbowl and shower were in1 room. Although it was very close, it was very inconvenient sometimes.
Excellent 9,6
Pros: very good breakfast
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Very clean
Cons: Room was next to the main road. Could do with a secondary window.
Excellent 8,3
Pros: Great breakfast, kind service, clean room.
Cons: Challenging car park. Remote from city center
Excellent 8,8
Pros: Breakfast was great and near centre
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Comfortable beds. Good food
Cons: There was nothing I didn't like

Excellent 10,0
Pros: Cleanliness, value for money and friendliness
Cons: Nothing
Mediocre 2,5
Pros: Nothing actually
Cons: Everything
Excellent 8,3
Pros: The location is fine during the day and is perfect for the nearby train and tram stations. The fitness suite is nice and clean. Nice steam room and pool. Happy and helpful staff. Comfortable beds.
Cons: The location is not fine for after 5pm when everything for miles around closes and it becomes a wilderness. The lockers in the changing rooms don't lock and are falling to bits. The pool is very cold. The trains and trams can be a bit noisy at times. Paying £4 to park my car seemed a bit cheeky although it was waived very kindly by the receptionist. You need a longer screen in your showers in the rooms to stop the floor getting wet.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Very friendly
Cons: Nothing
Good 6,0
Pros: The tv was nice.
Cons: Cramped room. AC didn’t work properly. Extremely slow restaurant service.
Excellent 8,8
Pros: Great location easy to reach city centre
Cons: Not much choice for daughter who is vegan at breakfast
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Friendly helpful staff. Very clean
Good 7,5
Pros: Lovely big family room. The bed was extremely comfy! Good sized telly aswell! Perfect location and so easy to pop in and out of town.
Cons: The cot wasn’t comfy for my baby at all. There could be an extra mattress provided to pad the bottom as it was brick hard. However on pulling out the sofa bed we found a thin duvet which we folded and put under the sheet to provide comfort. It wasn’t very clear how to use the lockers. It was asking for a 4 digit pin which we weren’t provided with.
Excellent 8,3
Pros: Clean & comfortable. Food was good.
Cons: Noisy location. Right next to train & tram lines. Could hear them until the early hours.
Excellent 9,6
Pros: Did not have breakfast as I felt it was too dear Liked the leisure facilities and the room menu service was excellent as provided great choice The staff were really helpful and could not have done more for us and were very approachable in particular Sofia who was our receptionist had a lovely manner and was really welcoming just what we needed after a long journey. Well done Sofia!
Cons: Did not like additional car park fee as this was not on the booking .com website but staff at hotel were really helpful and worked with us on this. I requested that the sofa bed would be made up for my arrival as discussed over the phone and had to do this ourselves and there was no linen in the room for this
Excellent 9,2
Pros: Very easy to catch tram to centre of town , pool nice .

Cons: I loved everything about the stay
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Loved everything about staying here....
Cons: would like to have seen the Bistro open for breakfast with a smaller menu to chose from....
Excellent 9,0
Pros: Isolation. Excellent restaurant. Courteous staff. Clean rooms. Lovely grounds.
Cons: Expensive transportation to and from was daunting. Hotel offered no services or shuttle.
Good 7,5
Pros: Service was good except at the brasserie. Staff were helpful. Rooms warmed up quickly when adjusting the temperature.
Cons: We were there 3 nights and the shampoo was never replaced. The rooms are too far away from the main hotel. The food was very poor at the brasserie (medium/cold and took an age to arrive) and fair at breakfast. We were not able to eat in either of the two main restaurants. The spa was too busy I would’ve had a massage but to be honest it didn’t feel like that sort of place.

Good 7,5
Pros: Location and ease of getting into City Centre using Tram network
Cons: The charge for the shuttle bus to the airport....surely this should be complimentary ..
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Good selection
Good 7,1
Pros: This is an "in-and out" hotel by the airport, not a place to go for holidays. It is very near the airport but not at all walking distance to the terminal, especially if you're dragging bags. Many thanks to staff who responded promptly to my email questions.
Cons: Typical poorly lit hotel room and small. Not HOT breakfast until 0630 (cold breakfast at 0430(?)). It is a hotel for transients and travelers and should serve hot breakfast sooner in the morning. There is a frequent shuttle but you get gouged at L2.50 per person.
Good 7,1
Cons: Breakfast was included in the price but breakfast pre 6.30 am is only unhealthy stuff or not suitable for those with dairy allergy. Would be great if there was a light cooked breakfast option for early leavers such as a bacon roll
Excellent 8,8
Pros: Clean, quite room. Friendly restaurant/bar staff.
Cons: I didn't know there was a bus I could have gotten at the airport to the hotel. Used it on the way back to the airport which was nice.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Good place to stay close to the airport. Very clean, 24 hour airport shuttle and breakfast starts at 4 AM.
Good 7,0
Cons: To much light coming under the door and Curtains did not keep out the light.
Good 7,9
Pros: The location next to the airport and the tram was pretty good
Cons: No shampoo or amenities in the room, plus the airport shuttle wasn't free
Excellent 8,8
Pros: Clean, very spacious room. Good choice for early bfast buffet. £4 per night for car parking whilst away on holiday .
Cons: Difficult to locate. Signage not good. Ended up going through the pay to drop car park. Could not change temperature in shower...roasting. Rediculous price for food & drinks....but that is nothing new. Take your own.
Okay 5,7
Cons: See above. Did not have converter from USA to UL
Excellent 9,6
Pros: Location good for early flight. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Pros: The staff members were nice and friendly, helpful if you needed anything. The breakfast choice was good. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean.
Cons: No parking at the hotel, have to search for some street parking nearby. My tomato wasn't really "grilled" as it said on the menu.
Good 7,1
Pros: to both new and old town. The airport loop link picks up and drops off right in front of the hotel and it runs every 10 mins or so 24 hours a day- extremely convent. There's also a few bus lines that pick up by the hotels entrance and go to Waverly Train Station which takes you past New Town. From there, Old Townnis a quick walk. Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly by the staff and had a very spacious corner room.
Cons: The comforters on the bed were those old scratchy cloth kind that you know don't get washed every time rather than the new linen kind. When pulling back the covers frontbencher time, I found a small collectionn of hair in the bed that coildnt have been mine and the kettle in the room had not been washed since the previous guest. The plumbing also leaves a bit to be desired. The shower was either bowling or freezing- even if being left on the same setting.
Excellent 9,6
Pros: Staff. Bed.. Breakfast. All fabulous
Cons: Couch was all torn.... People came into our room with their key!!!!
Good 7,5
Pros: Large room to fit family
Cons: Lots of noise
Excellent 8,3
Pros: - The staffs were helpful, polite and patient. I had a problem with the key and door lock of my room, one of the staff kindly spent time to resolve it. - Nice breakfast, a good variety of different options are provided by the Hotel for helping us to start a energetic morning. Staffs were happy to strictly follow our requirements for breakfast. - The location was good enough for us. It was easily connected to the CBD by Lothian bus services. - They accepted to let us check in, 2 hours earlier than normal. Highly appreciated.
Cons: - The room was cold, and the radiator did not work. Water was so cold for taking a shower the last day. We thought that the heating will come to work during night, that is why we did not inform the reception. But, in the end it turned out it was a problem which could easily be resolved by resetting of the boiler. Therefore, I wont blame the Hotel for the problem, because it was our fault that we did not inform them earlier. But it would be good, if they make sure that the boiler work properly all the time.
Excellent 9,6
Pros: An exceptionally well maintained setup, best value for money. Would certainly stay here next time.
Cons: Stairs narrow, no lift.
Excellent 8,8
Pros: Comfortable pleasant and clean room, nice size. Reasonably priced. Good hearty breakfast.
Cons: Rushed check in process. No on site parking.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Arrived very late after a cancelled flight. The staff member on duty was very friendly and helpful and I was made to feel welcome. Although I had been unsure about wanting a cooked breakfast when I arrived I was offered this again in the morning. Very good choice of breakfast. The location was very convenient on the main road to the centre of Edinburgh and Haymarket station and also on the airport bus route. A very pleasant and convenient place to stay. The room was spacious and comfortable.
Mediocre 2,0
Pros: It was very dirty and room was a mess
Cons: Totally waste of money I wouldn't go off the pictures on the internet because they aren't true

Good 7,9
Pros: Accessibility into the city centre via the tram service.
Cons: Uncleanliness and lack of staff at breakfast.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: The tram into town is only a couple of minutes away.
Good 6,3
Pros: Breakfast ok. Room small but ok. I was disapointed about the staff in the reception answering my questions in an ironic way, as if they where really dumb... But we had never been in Edinburgh before and for example we didn't know how to use the local tram. It differ from different cities and countries. It ended up with that we got on the tram without buying a ticket in the machine and was therefore throw off at the next station again. If the staff had givning us the information we needed it would have felt much more friendly
Cons: The staff we met in the reception for check in
Good 7,5
Pros: Breakfast was good, fair choice of food and as much as you wanted.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Good hotel, polite efficient staff, clean, quiet rooms. We stayed in 4 different holiday accommodation premises prior to stay at Ibis. You Guys win hands down for cleanliness.Thankyou.Will be staying again.
Cons: Only small problem, water took a long time to drain away from shower!! This was room 129.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Small but comfortable. Fine for a short stay. Close to tramline and only around 15 minutes into Edinburgh.
Okay 4,2
Pros: Absolutely nothing, booked it because of location and near tram station.
Cons: Booked standard twin room, a few months ago, was allocated a disabled twin room, asked for a quiet room, room was noisy, could hear running water from adjacent rooms and from rooms above, virtually no sleep all night, woke up tired, onsite restaurant service slow between courses, At Breakfast no bowls for cereal, once they arrived they were dirty, obviously not rinsed before they were put in dishwasher, remnants of porridge on what was presented as a clean bowl. Insufficient seating in restraunt and tables littered with crumbs and dirty dishes, this was at 7:30 am. This is the first time that I have stayed in an Ibis hotel and it will be the last, insufficient charging points in room and no sockets in the vacinity of beds, Shower room light activated by motion sensor, if you close shower curtain light goes out whilst still in shower. Can't find any plus points for this hotel and not good value for money.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Comfortable, clean hotel with great transport links to the City centre. Have stayed here a few times.
Cons: Nothing.
Good 7,5
Pros: Room was clean, bed comfortable, quiet room. Other staff friendly and approachable.
Cons: The staff member on the desk when I arrived wasn't very professional, he didn't let me know breakfast time or what time meals were available till that evening I had to look it up online (it's also not available on their main website). I'm putting it down to a stressful shift as something was down that customers couldn't get into their rooms with their cards...however saying "jesus christ" when someone said the drinks machine wasn't on isn't professional. Having a meal was so unorganised, I felt sorry for the woman on the bar I would suggest table numbers for customers to take to their tables especially on busy periods.
Excellent 8,0
Pros: Clean and friendly staff.
Cons: Not much bathroom privacy and no refrigerator in the room to keep my medication in.
Mediocre 3,8
Pros: Location
Cons: Uncomfortable beds
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Easy walk from the train, Edinburgh Gateway stop. Also easy walk to the tram that goes to the airport. The room was quite comfortable and the staff helpful.

Excellent 9,2
Pros: Lovely hotel! Rooms were excellent and staff were superb at the front desk and handled everything great.
Okay 4,6
Cons: Staff very rude, fire alarm went off at 6am no communication from staff at all quit the build with still no communication from staff. When approached over this as myself and other family's weren't happy they were very rude.
Good 7,1
Pros: Really comfortable bed and large room, great parking facilities. 1/2 hour bus ride into town. Expensive, but probably due to Fringe Festival being on.
Cons: The breakfast was the only disappointment. We got down there at the end of the service, but at that point it was cold, dry and inedible so we gave it a miss.
Good 6,7
Pros: Good size room
Cons: Food Staff
Okay 4,8
Pros: I stayed here based on price. Everything else in Edinburgh was really pricey when we were there based on the Tattoo being on and the Fringe Festival. The room was clean except for one giant long hair on the bathroom floor. The hotel is far away from everything, a 12 pound cab ride to get to the action or even a restaurant.
Good 7,1
Pros: Lovely bed and a lovely view of the city
Cons: The mass refurb made accessing the bar at times very difficult and the lack of comfort outside our room, but understand it is very important
Excellent 9,2
Pros: Bedroom and bed. Spa. Restaurant view.
Cons: Refurbishment going on in bar area meant using a bar by function room which was pretty bare and uninviting to be honest...like a canteen bar. Glasses, food trays and cleaning trollies left over 24 hrs / overnight in corridor.
Okay 4,2
Pros: I enjoyed the pool and sauna. The bed was very comfortable.
Cons: The hotel was having improvements made but floor tiles were up in reception main bar was closed and property was quite grubby.
Excellent 8,8
Pros: The hotel was clean and tidy and the staff friendly.
Cons: My room was not in the most convenient place as I had to go up the stairs then through a door up some more stairs and then along a corridor.
Excellent 9,2
Pros: Clean
Cons: Location was a bit far out of town
Good 6,7
Pros: The breakfast was good enough for the price from breakfast, clean and comfy bed.
Cons: My room was closer to parking, it was noise during night and the Hotel is far away from the center for the price paid.
