Excellent 10,0
Pros: General friendliness and efficiency of the landlady Jackie. Excellent breakfast catered to your wishes/requirements each morning. Suitable, and not oppresive, adherance to the current social distancing and personal hygiene requirements. Easy parking and easy access into the town and local amenities.
Cons: No complaints at all.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Cozy place to stay would come again!
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Jackie did everything in her power to make our stay very enjoyable, safe (including Covid secure) and was most helpful. She coped very well with my allergies including gluten free and oat free diet and was a very valuable source of information for the area. She showed us on a map where we could walk our dog, which was a quiet walk around the block as the busier road is quiet in the evening and also it was only a 5 min drive to the dog-friendly beach. We never made it to the river, but it sounded lovely. The room was very spacious, well heated and with the windows closed we slept very well as we did not hear the road at all - and this despite us living in a quiet cul-de-sac. The house is very secure. Our dog loved it there and he can be fussy. The bathroom was very spacious, with a lovely walk in shower. The beds were very comfy. We hope to be back soon.
Cons: The guesthouse is beside a busy road, which almost put us off, but we did not hear the road at all as the double-glazing is excellent. Also, the road gets very quiet at night and even in the morning is not too busy compared to South England standards.
Excellent 9,0

Good 7,0
Pros: The kind, helpful staff, when we were the only guests
Cons: Problem with the adjustable height bar on the shower
Good 6,0
Pros: Would be convenient for Prestwick airport and in easy reach of Ayr and Prestwick. Nice building containing no doubt better rooms. Clean. Not far from seaside, though at rather industrial location.
Cons: Small rather dark room with window facing neighbouring wall. Wet rot on walls around window. Mould behind dresser.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Very welcome in the bars and restaurants. Coped magnificently with the Covid restrictions. Well done.
Cons: Great location, 10 minute walk to the town centre. Friendly staff, comfy bed, great breakfast. Everything you need for a weekend break. Thanks.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Cleanliness
Cons: No fuss
Excellent 8,0
Pros: Very good cooked breakfast, spacious room with Netflix and fast Wi-Fi.
Cons: Decor was a little sparse.
Excellent 8,3
Pros: Quick, easy access to Prestwick airport, onsite pub, and very gracious staff who accommodated all my needs.
Cons: Fair amount of hallway noise with visitors to the pub going by rooms and not the most comfy bed.

Good 7,0
Pros: Breakfast during Covid, great selection of everything continental all wrapped individually, very clean, staff very attentive.
Cons: Premier room bathroom needs a bit more attention to detail, mould in shower, cracked basin, shower could be warmer, curtain round window came loose difficult to close.
Good 6,0
Pros: Staff were lovely, old style hotel which i like.
Cons: Room was in an annex which i didnt like. Room was dated a bit shabby to be honest
Okay 5,0
Pros: The welcome and all staff were very pleasant and the location is great.
Cons: The breakfast was continental due to covid, the cutlery had thick yogurt like food on it and the breakfast bowl had cereal all round the rim so decided to eat out after informing staff. The rooms heating was not working so a small heater was put in it was still pretty cold, the kettle lid was dirty and the curtain was hanging off the top of the rail, for a SUPERIOR room at £110per night I would have expected a higher standard.
Excellent 8,0
Pros: Only 2 staff members due to Covid however they were exceptionally accommodating a d made us very welcome
Cons: Nothing
Good 7,0
Pros: Location lovely walk along the promenade
Cons: The toaster and kettle at breakfast was manual use for guests. This is not ideal in the midst of COVID
Excellent 10,0
Pros: James was excellent
Cons: Little cold in the bathroom
Excellent 8,8
Pros: Quiet room on the top floor with sea view. Good breakfast. Free parking.
Cons: Room on the small side

Good 7,0
Pros: The bed was very comfortable, perfect in terms of support/softness. Breakfast was very good.
Good 7,0
Pros: Hotel was nice and quiet and friendly and so was other guests would book again
Cons: Not alot of pubs nxt to it
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Had a great nights sleep
Poor 1,0
Pros: Leaving it . I sincerely hope you do something about this genuine complaint and concern . All of your guest houses should be safe and hygienic regardless of price . I didn't know the condition of the room or property before going yet you want guests to cancel bookings before they are due to arrive or they are charged a cancellation fee .
Cons: I booked for 7 nights. I stayed 1 night, and left before going to bed the next night due to health and safety reasons in connection to the condition of the electrics in my room . I contacted booking.com but nothing will be done as I am unwilling to return to the property and take photos . This house should have an independent electrical inspection , and fire safety , and kitchen food hygiene inspection , also the planning department of Ayrshire council should check she had permission to have a very large building built in her garden as it's very close to the house . I saw her once when I arrived and I had to try and find her . She was in her dressing gown and looked as if she was just out of bed , it was 11 am . She said she was ill . Why didn't she cancel all bookings as a precaution due to covid 19 regulations . I had to pay a large amount of money to get accommodation elsewhere . This "Guest House" should be closed down permanently . I am very suspicious about the 5 star reviews on your site with regards to this property .
Good 7,0
Pros: Easy access, good location and friendly service.
Poor 1,0
Cons: Only 1 star because no option for NO STARS. After booking and receiving 2 confirmations from this B&B we travelled all day in the heat from Manchester only to be asked if I had a reservation. I was then told there were no rooms then that the cleaner had not been in today and told to go elsewhere. This was a Sunday evening on a bank holiday weekend and I was travelling with my dog......absolutely fuming doesn't begin to cover it!
Excellent 8,0
Pros: Comfortable , warm and easy car parking
Cons: More the bus service ,had to walk from Prestwick cross , but that's all
Excellent 9,4
Pros: Location price breakfast friendly staff
Cons: Nothing.

Good 7,0
Pros: room, building and garden ,we enjoyed the hotel and have now booked another room for the last weekend in June as we know now what to do to sort out food
Cons: No one in reception had any idea how to order meals- very young women - could not give any information in regard to meals or when the bar was open ,on Friday an older man was able to provide information and accept payment at the reception for our meals, I am Insulin Dependent Diabetic- 4 injections per day, if my husband could not have driven to resturants I would have had a Diabetic coma and could have died as you are long way from hospital. I am a registered nurse and can cope with most things in regard to Diabetic issues but when staff cannot answer very simple questions - are you serving meals, it puts people in my position at great risk
Good 6,0
Pros: The Free Ufrade to the old building for WiFi,
Cons: Because of Covid couldn't use the bar
Good 6,0
Pros: The food was good and great prices
Cons: Very dated
Okay 5,0
Pros: It was last minute duebto a cancellation of a ferry.
Cons: Due to covid there was limited food available in the evening,no tea or coffee station, no biscuits or tea and coffee in the room. They were short staffed and our room was missing a tv,toiletries, bath plug.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Welcoming lovely staff👌especially the boys on night shift 👍.That’s my 4th stay a very Happy TeenSenior!! I shall return 😊👏😘
Cons: Nothing
Okay 5,0
Pros: A very impressive house and grounds, comfortable beds, friendly and helpful staff. Attention to Covid safety, plenty of sanitising stations around the hotel and sealed items in room.
Cons: Despite the covid precautions, the room was quite dirty. The carpet hadn't been vacuumed and the bedside table was covered in sticky stuff. The breakfast was poor.
Good 7,0
Pros: I liked walking along the country road and seeing the farm animals in the fields . Not far from Prestwick which is a great town for shops and restaurants .
Cons: Due to covid 19 regulations I had to make my own bed . As a vegan I was very disappointed with the option of food . First evening it was pasta with tomato sauce, next evening macaroni cheese, yet I pay the same as meat eaters . I should have been given roast vegetables with my pasta the first evening , and a vegetable curry the next . I didn't eat there again . I didn't have the macaroni cheese as vegans don't eat cheese .
Okay 4,0
Pros: The rooms were clean and the grounds were gorgeous but outside of that, it was not a great place.
Cons: There was a skeleton staff and awkward rules such as having to register your bank card at reception to use it in the bar, needing a voucher from reception to order food. The rooms are dated, the bathroom taps barely work, the vending machines are switched off but worst of all, there is no internet in most rooms and not even mobile phone coverage to use data.
Mediocre 3,0
Pros: We did not eat at the hotel and the location was not at all what we had expected it was not in prestwick as stated but monklands. There was nothing near us so we decided to go to prestwick which cost us £40 in taxis.
Cons: The location and the facilities
Good 6,0
Pros: The location and setting was nice . A bit far out of the way but that was okay .
Cons: The rooms could do with getting updated . Our room was not very clean sweetie wrapping and socks under the bed . Soap dish still had soap scum on it and hairs in the drawers . Food was not great but then we paid £10 for a 3 course meal so can’t really complain. Staff could do with being a bit more friendly and smile occasionally felt in dining room that they did not want you to be there. And when you spoke to them they did not answer back very rude . Don’t think we would stay again
Excellent 8,6
Excellent 9,4
Pros: Price. Location. Staff
Cons: The hotel looks tired in places
Mediocre 2,8
Pros: The building and the surrounding.
Cons: The rooms are poorly maintained. Most of the room are not in the old more beautiful part of the building which is shown in the photographs. I saw any people complain of their rooms during my stay there. The bath panel in my room was broken and some of the electrical switches were open in the room. This place is not worth any price and the hotel must be inspected by HNS.
