Excellent 10,0
Pros: Beautiful place, great parking, quiet, lovely staff, and it had a bath!!
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 8,0
Pros: Located in West End where all the trendy bars and restaurants are but £13 taxi ride from central train station :-(
Cons: It didn’t have much atmosphere although the staff were lovely! The pillows were AWFUL for such an expensive hotel
Excellent 10,0
Pros: The room was above and beyond all my expectations - so spacious and comfy.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: The peaceful sunny terraced garden and the chilled glass of wine I enjoyed there!
Excellent 9,3
Pros: Great bed and well decorated room. Overall really nice attentive people
Cons: One of the restaurant staff was slightly ‘superior’
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 9,5
Pros: Wonderful townhouse in a beautiful residential area, spacious rooms, great food and very friendly staff
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Clean, peaceful, beautiful decoration, pleasant and helpful staff.
Cons: Breakfast was ok - brioche stale, muffin and bacon very hard (eggs benedict), no alternative sausage offered (only pork available).
Good 6,8
Pros: The breakfast is amazing...as always. Lovely garden Terrace to sit and relax with a drink. Very friendly staff.
Cons: The room we were given (Villa Maria) was tired looking and is in need of some serious TLC or upgrading if to be considered as part of One Devonshire Garden’s high standards. Having stayed there previously on a few occasions, this room spoiled our stay. Incomplete house cleaning of dressing room. Bathroom looks shoddy and sub standard for this hotel. Windows unable to stay open for ventilation. Mattress on bed has probably had its day also. Disappointing having to write such a review as previous stays have been excellent.

Pros: Staff was amazing great attention to detail the castle was beautiful and would recommend to anyone
Okay 4,5
Cons: The hotel is good, But the problem is that the heater in the room can not switch off, my family lived in the hotel on 17 July 2019, the heater was very hot, the room temperature was over 30 degrees, we could not help getting awake and drank water. The hotel staff checked 2 times and promised the problem was fixed, but actually not.
Excellent 8,0
Pros: Nice luxury hotel in a quiet South Side location, very large & comfortable room with all mod cons. As I had an event in the area starting at 3pm they were able to check me in a bit in advance of the normal time.
Cons: Service was a bit haphazard, at checkin dealt with one person who knew I had asked to arrive early and one who didn't and thought I had to wait .. also at breakfast being seated/ordering/getting drink/getting toast etc seemed to happen quite randomly.
Good 7,5
Pros: Loved the afternoon tea and dinner was good too although a little Pricey.
Cons: We could feel the springs in the mattress. I wanted to stay in the main hotel But we’re out in a separate building .
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Staff were ready to help. Restaurant excellent. Breakfast included which was lovely. Rooms were excellent.
Cons: Carrying luggage up 3 flights to rooms.
Excellent 8,8
Pros: A charming, quiet hotel in a leafy suburb of Glasgow suitable for a night’s stay. An easy, short train ride into the city. The hotel looks like a little castle on the outside with a beautiful garden, however the rooms (we had 2) are small and very generic. A wonderful breakfast and friendly staff.
Good 7,0
Pros: breakfast was very good,
Cons: Pillows were too hard for us a choice of soft would be nice
Excellent 8,3
Pros: Beautiful castle
Cons: No air conditioning during ine of the hottest days of the year.
Excellent 9,5
Pros: Loved the view from our room!
Cons: Wifi was offered but connecting was impossible
Good 6,3
Pros: The staff were very friendly and the food excellent.
Cons: Instead of a room inside the Hotel we were put into a section of rooms next to the carpark. It was nicely decorated & large but got very cold during the night. I thought I was booking a room inside the castle itself. This was very disappointing.

Pros: The suites are lovely and spacious and very tastefully done. Handy for Glasgow city centre as subway is close by. Friendly hotel, quiet. Staff and very friendly and approachable.
Cons: Nothing really.
Excellent 8,3
Pros: We had room service for evening meal and breakfasts. Food was good and hot and delivered as requested. Good choice on menu.
Cons: Very disappointed with bedroom doors. They were extremely hard for me to open. Having 2 different handles to be turned together and hold open the door was difficult. I know the door has to be a fire door, but I wouldn't be happy at not being able to open the door in an emergency.
Good 6,8
Pros: Very friendly staff Really comfortable bed.
Cons: It is getting old and tired. Needs an upgrade.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Everything. Comfy, highly recommend.
Good 7,0
Pros: the breakfast was good - but confusion was created by giving us a menu with charges on it -while we had room with breakfast included.
Cons: the staff seem to not friendly - we had an issue with the room with finding insects - bed bugs - it took them time to move us from the room - but finally the general manager was very responsive and refund our stay in the hotel.
Good 7,5
Pros: Nice breakfast, polite staff.
Cons: No gym, small room.
Excellent 9,3
Cons: The area is not very attractive, but it takes only 10 minutes to drive the airport. The breakfast was very good.
Okay 5,0
Pros: Tunnoch's Tea Cakes in the room!
Cons: Cleanliness in room - carpet, curtains and duvet cover were all stained. Suede-effect headboard did not appear clean and the shower had mould on tiles.
Good 7,5
Pros: Easy check in. Staff were friendly. Room was a good size and was clean. Was great location for a 10 min drive to the airport.
Cons: Breakfast was really busy and we had to eat in the bar area but wasnt a problem for us? Might have been for other less mobile guests?
Excellent 8,0
Pros: Does what it says on the tin. No frills but at this price a clean comfy room was very welcome.
Excellent 8,8
Pros: Nice place with friendly staff. Not in the city itself but near a metro station so easy to catch the subway in to the CBD. Free parking.
Cons: Not much in the area. Limited shops or attractions but near a train station so easy to go further afield.

Cons: The room was very hot and uncomfortable . the bathroom was not clean . and the bed was lumpy. The staff were lovely I feel sorry for them I expect they have to apologise a great deal.
Good 7,5
Pros: Good bus and rail service 5 min walk from hotel. Nice sitting by the pond which have swans and ducks.
Cons: £5 charge a night for parking this should be refundable against cost of breakfast or meal.
Excellent 8,3
Pros: Nearness to Gartnavel hospital as I have a yearly appointment to check the condition of my eye cancer
Cons: The fact that I have to repeat this recess every year
Good 7,5
Pros: Love the location ! Reception staff very helpful, friendly & smart.
Cons: Some initial difficulty with the keycard to access the room.
Okay 5,5
Pros: Near center of Glasgow by bus 6 @ 6a, acceptable breakfast!
Cons: Room was s... bad, 121 and 120 are probably the worst on the hotel noisy near exhausts and siding to garbage bins...
Mediocre 3,4
Pros: parking
Cons: Stayed here before without any problems but this time I booked a double bed, only to find two singles pushed together, which kept coming apart when slept on which made the stay extremely uncomfortable. The duvet was too small for the bedsheets and the bedsheets weren't fitted properly, looked like a rush job. To top off, I was on the 4th floor, 436, and all morning the housekeeping staff wouldn't keep the noise down and respect guests peace and quiet. There is an "office" at the end of the corridor on the forth floor where staff congregate. I had to bang my door several times so the staff realised that their noise was exessive. Did I mention the lift was broken too? Also, only had one towel in the room when two guests were staying. Overall, a total shambles.
Okay 4,3
Pros: Good location
Cons: The hotel was disgusting and the smell waa awful.
Good 6,7
Pros: The friendliness and efficiency of the staff was excellent. The quality of the evening meals was good and the room was warm, clean and comfortable.
Cons: The hotel offers an "Early Bird" menu but don't actually give out this menu in the restaurant at the specified times. There is also a Table D'hote menu which does not specify a price. I found this misleading as I wrongly asumed this was the "Early Bird" menu. However after some discussion my bill was adjusted to my satisfaction. The food at breakfast was disappointing - plenty choice but let down by overcooked bacon, rubbery scrambled egg and disgusting orange juice.
Good 6,0
Pros: The location for my trip
Good 6,0
Pros: Hotel ideally located for our visit - ideal location next to main road with buses every 10 mins into Glasgow. Nice bar area.
Cons: Dark lane to hotel not lit, could do with lights as a bit scary. Remote control for tv was lost in our room, we eventually found it under the bed ! Housekeeping should be checking things like this.
Good 7,7
Pros: nice modern and clean rooms, good breakfast and excellent parking
Good 6,3
Pros: A friendly, welcoming hotel that was comfortable and, to be honest, a bit of a treat. By the way if this quote is used please use two male figures.
Cons: I didn't like Christmas music over breakfast. I realise that Christmas is looming but the end of November was too soon to have this music over breakfast. Really bad, bad idea.
Good 6,0

Excellent 8,3
Pros: Breakfast good, staff hard working and helpful. Hotel clean. Good location for buses and underground.

Excellent 10,0
Pros: Beautiful room, very good breakfast, good wifi, very close to Botanical Garden & Subway.
Cons: Everything was good!
Excellent 9,3
Pros: Location for my need was ideal. I liked spacious room and bathroom, cleanliness was perfect. Didn't eat breakfast, so have no opinion on this.
Cons: There were no things to dislike. But more places to put my belongings in the bathroom would be very handy, just one or two hook and shelf would make nice addition to spaciousness of bathroom.
Excellent 8,3
Pros: Good location in a nice area to go out for a drink or something to only 20-30 walk from city centre, incredible ice cream shop across the road
Cons: Decor was dated
Excellent 8,2
Pros: Our stay was great. De rooms where clean, the beds comfortable and we had WiFi. The breakfast was also good. There is also a parking lot for your car. And the staff is very friendly.

Cons: Decor was a little dated.
Good 7,5
Pros: Room was spacious comfortable and quiet.
Cons: Check out. I was the only person in reception. This was my conversation on checking out. " Still quiet warm today " " ........... " " It's quite muggy though " " I just need your keys " This was my last impression; an important phase if judging a hotel.

Pros: Great location, within easy walking distance of public transport and places to eat and drink.
Cons: Bed was a bit bumpy and lumpy.
Good 7,0
Pros: lo0cation and price
Cons: bathroom in room number one was un tidy and no hot or warm water I spoke to some staff and she didn't provide me any service about hot water inside the bathroom
Good 7,5
Pros: The bed was wonderfully comfortable. Better than my bed at home. The location was perfect for a a leisurely stroll around the botanic gardens, eating out, and then a show at the Oran mor.
Cons: Unfortunately there was no hot water in our room due to a faulty boiler. When we raised the problem, staff offered access to another available room to shower in so this wasn't too much of a problem.
Good 7,0
Pros: It was a basic hotel. Minimal interaction with staff, and had to ask basic questions to which should have been advised upon check in. We had booked for 2 adults and 2 children, of which both were under 3. When we was shown to the room there was only a double bed. When we advised of the children they soon put a travel cot in to the room. Room was very spacious. We was on the front of the hotel and it is on a busy road, so we could hear the traffic through out the night.
Cons: A better welcome, shown where everything was like the dining room etc.
Excellent 8,3
Pros: Very good location for the wedding I was attending. Free parking which is difficult to find in this area. Cheap and cheerful. Comfortable bed. Clean room. Hot shower. Takes dogs though I didn't have mine with me.
Cons: No decaff coffee sachets_small detail.
Excellent 8,0
Pros: Scott, our host was adorable and helpful. The inn was across the street from the Botanic Centre, where we were seeing Shakespeare. It was so close that we came back to the inn to use the bathroom during intermission, rather than wait in line at the park.
Cons: Our bathroom sink dripped all night and day and likewise, a pipe under the sink dripped on the floor.
Excellent 9,3
Pros: Great location, free parking & friendly staff.
Okay 4,5
Pros: The location was goid
Cons: Shower needed a scrub the bedside lamp had a broken bulb in it.
Excellent 8,0
Pros: It’s all been okay, clean and cheap, the only thing There was no soup or shampoo in bathroom. Thanks
Cons: Shampoo or hand wash liquid was empty.
