Too many stairs to bedroom
Location and parking was brilliant for walks and easy access into the town center, although I was not checking in until 18.00 I was able to leave my car in their car park and head off walking around the lake.
Due to high winds the bathroom sash window frame which was in need of some maintenance as it not only had big gaps around it but rattled due to the wind, stuffed toilet paper in the gaps sort of reduced the rattling noise. The brake fast which was excellent but was let down by the sausages which were supposed to be “Cumberland” sausages, I think the vendor needs to changes his supplier, they were a bit of a let down - way off the Cumberland sausage recipe, The vendor should also look at a bit more lighting around the front door/pathway it is extremely tricky negotiating that area in the dark, especially anyone with reduced mobility.
Excellent location. The property was spotless. The breakfast was delivered in a hamper, which was great as you could relax and enjoy breakfast in your room.
Parking was pretty small and tight coming from the main road with little room to swing around to actually reverse park. The parking area is a shared area.
Staff were extremely helpful; printed off a local walk for us. Breakfast was excellent. The balcony outside the bedroom had a splendid view of Derwent Water.
Bedroom was quite compact
It’s beautifully decorated, all facilities covered , comfortable bed and great breakfast included.
