8,0 Excellent
Pros: lovely friendly staff... warm welcome and easy atmosphere
Cons: I so wish they would play 80 disco music in the morning at breakfast... bit that was irritating!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We loved the stay It was comfy, warm, quiet and the staff were lovely
Cons: The only thing to mention if I had to pick something was the lack of parking but we got parked so no biggie :)
5,0 Okay
Pros: Loved the building and general atmosphere of this busy place, it would be really nice in summer too.
Cons: Breakfast was only up to 9am, we came for a chill out evening and general rest, not everyone has to get up for work, 10am would have been more suitable, like most places. Unfortunately you can not do anything about this but the floor boards creek so bad, this kept us awake till late and woken us up very early, so not a good chill out for us. Beef Wellington was not good value for money, although the quality of the beef was very good there were hardly no filling inside and had no dauphinoise potatoes left, very disappointing. The sticky toffee pudding was amazing.
7,0 Good
Pros: The room was very clean and the decor was lovely. The breakfast was delicious.
Cons: The bed was a bit too soft for our liking and you could hear noise from neighbouring rooms and the corridor. I don’t think housekeeping should be hoovering the corridors before 7am. Would have preferred a room with a bath.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: Nice setting big clean room
Cons: Could not get cooked breakfast in the morning which was a let down had to go else were and pay extra
6,0 Good
Pros: Nice breakfast, good location

Cons: Lovely old school Hall
5,0 Okay
Pros: The staff were very friendly and accomodating. The food was good, especially breakfast on our first morning.
Cons: Bed very hard. The room in the main building was very cold. Taps were loose in the bathroom and in general the bathroom needed maintenance as did the room in general.
7,0 Good
Pros: Quiet location with easy access to road network. Excellent cooked breakfast.
Cons: Room was a bit tired with poor interent connection.
7,0 Good
Pros: The location in large grounds with mature trees is beautiful. Being able to sit at breakfast and look out over the valley was a lovely way to start the day. Good value for money, particularly given that breakfast was included in the price.
Cons: The bar menu - not a lot of healthy and low calorie choices for non-meat eaters. No salad offered as a main.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were great; I thought the place was immaculately kept; looks like lovely grounds
Cons: I came on foot, after dark - there were sections with no lights whatsoever on the long approach drive A few more sit-at tables in the bar-food area would be great, please, rather than eating off my lap
9,0 Excellent
Pros: All was above expectations............... apart from being served a below standard pint of beer (which was completely accepted by the bar. The problem came when because of circumstances of staffing I suggested having a different beer rather than wait for the barrel to be changed. The price difference was 20p which was not waived. Pedantry is not a good characteristic.

Pros: The Old Bridge is a little gem. Located right in the centre of Holmfirth, it is exceptional value for money. Our room had everything that you could wish for. Our bed was as comfortable as our own at home. We had breakfast and two evening meals that we enjoyed immensely. The service was excellent. We had come to experience West Yorshire at its finest and we thoroughly did. Thank you to the Old Bridge staff for making our Holmfirth adventure memorable.

Pros: Location
4,0 Okay
Pros: Location. Clean . Little pub in walking distance for food. The Scape house.
Cons: Staff not very friendly or welcoming. We wanted food at arrival and were told we had choice of 4 sandwiches by a grumpy barman. Bed was lumpy and uncomfortable ( room 5). No hair dryer, we asked a reception and young girl seemed disinterested and said she'd get someone to bring one. We were still waiting at checkout time, so had to leave with wet hair. On the up side location was nice had we not chose same weekend as storm Dennis!

6,3 Good
Pros: Clean
Cons: Service
1,0 Poor
Pros: No fresh fruit. Cooked breakfast was cold.
Cons: General cleanliness. Don't think the stairs have been vacuumed in weeks! Bar area smelt foisty.
4,0 Okay
Pros: The bar was good breakfast was fine.
Cons: We were told we were in room 1 when we got back from the wedding we had been moved to room 42 they said it was cos some one had been smoking in the room and it smelt of smoke. With it being late at night we went to room 42. The bed was uncomfortable and dipped in the middle. The bathroom was filthy, it was like a little boxroom with a view of a roof. I complained in the morning and asked to be shown room 1, it was a much better room bigger light more modern. There were 2 coffee cups on the bedside tables used ones. I personally think that someone complained about room 42 and they swapped them with us as they knew we would not be back till late. Afterall how long does it take to clean a room and fabreze would have got rid of the smell of smoke. We had a wonderful day at the wedding spoilt by the state of the room. The receptionist didnt seem concerned about the fact that we had basically been downgraded to an inadiquate box room.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Accommodated early arrival (11:00am) from Airport after overnight flight. Friendly, cheerful, and very helpful staff. For us this is the primary thing that defines the hotel as a place we'll return to when in the area. Located close to M62. Excellent green space in hotel grounds.
Cons: Accommodations fairly dated but kept well maintained and clean. Quite a bit of ongoing renovation in the common areas while we were there. Staff were taking special care to ensure guest safety and minimize any inconvenience. One of the outer pair of doors on the main entrance had a faulty closing mechanism and people entering and leaving were not closing it manually. Made for a chilly experience getting in and out (January in Yorkshire).
7,0 Good
Pros: Bed comfy. Short staffed in bar and restaurant affected service overall.
Cons: Service.
5,0 Okay
Pros: Comfy bed.
Cons: Draughty room and cold room.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: *Food *Accommodation *Customer service
Cons: Speaking to a trainee who didn't know how to add breakfast onto the bill for the next day. I went to reception and told to wait while the phone was answered. Been continually asked had I signed for the bill (I was walking through restaurant then stopped while they double checked even though I had already signed and presented my key) That was the only thing that needs improvement - sort out your customers first and get the payment solutions for charging to the room correctly. More staff training needed - as they have excellent staff that are outstanding but it's the procedures that they have been given don't work well enough . Customer service was outstanding - just the proceedures need work

2,0 Mediocre
Pros: The towels were clean
Cons: The noise, you could hear people in rooms next you arguing, shouting, slamming doors. Noise from the pub below bellowing out. The main door to the property is open all night & reception unmanned so didn't feel safe. A peep hole in the door which I thought invades your privacy. The bath had silver fish. No bathroom products as on the online photos. Hardly delux room, this should be a hostel not hotel!
7,0 Good
Pros: Good location. Plenty of hot water. Excellent WiFi in room.
Cons: Non smoking room did smell of tabacco. Towels had a smell of tabacco also.
4,0 Okay
Pros: Location close to train station.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: i got stood up but the geeza downstairs was very helpful, when i was asking for shops and places to go too.
Cons: i was stood up by a girl the day before valentines day, so i booked another night here and got drunk
7,0 Good
Pros: Small but perfectly formed room
Cons: A bit too warm
6,0 Good
Pros: Good location.
Cons: Hot water in bathroom temperamental. Had to Jan tissue in Windows to stop clattering, which kept me awake the first night. Motion sensor controlled light on bathroom left me in darkness mid-shower. Left with several bites on my legs.

7,0 Good
Pros: Nice room apart from very poor wifi
Cons: WiFi signal very poor
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Super friendly and helpful staff. Delicious food for dinner. Lovely old building with original features. Comfortable bed. Good towels. Plenty parking. Close to Holmfirth ( short taxi ride ) Bar open until late.
Cons: Generally decor is pretty tired and dated, particularly the rooms and corridor on ground floor. Just an observation though, as everywhere was spotless and it didn't spoil our stay.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The evening meal in the restaurant was excellent,The breakfast was very good, and the room was comfortable, and warm with good quality pillows.Parking is on site and plenty of spaces. The property is walking distance from Meltham and walkers can be on the hills in 10 minutes walking from Durker Roods. We enjoyed the interesting surroundings and relaxing in the bar after our trip out.
Cons: .The carpet needed attention and the paintwork around inside of bathroom door was smudged, and the pipework at base of radiator in the bathroom is a bit messy. This was a shame as the bathroom is very nice and modern. We liked our stay and i am telling you so you can make these small adjustments.Room 27.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: All staff friendly .. rooms clean and cleaning staff friendly .. lovely food
5,0 Okay
Pros: Breakfast was good with plenty of choice and the staff kept up with demand. There are excellent parking facilities and the grounds small but pleasant.
Cons: The entrance lobby is dismal and lacks sparkle. It is a large area is crying out for a few well placed exotic shrubs or statuettes, the floor lacks polish and the lighting, which could be fabulous, is grim. The room itself was adequate but dated, the furniture needed some attention, the bed was not comfortable and the pillows hard and lumpy!
5,0 Okay
Pros: Great location for our occasion.
Cons: Very understaffed, waited a long time for breakfast to get restocked, whole place needs a lot of TLC. Could be a great hotel with a bit of work.

8,0 Excellent
Pros: facilities are good Staff in general were friendly and very helpful
Cons: Bacon is cooked en-masse with rashers cooked on top of each other and then put out in a dish for serving This results in them looking half cooked with layers of fat all over the place
5,0 Okay
Cons: Bed was a bit hard and meal was not warm pasta was tepid
4,0 Okay
Cons: Firstly, this is not a 4 star hotel. Being charged for parking, rip off - it's not in the middle of London where parking is a premium! Plus parking charges are not mentioned anywhere. Plus we were charged parking for each person on check-in although we came in one car. I asked him to remove one charge, which he didn't because I had to ask it again to be removed on checking out. The automated check in/out screens, need a member of staff to show you how to use them, so pointless. Asked for a printed invoice, couldn't do it without having to run to sales office......daft.
1,0 Poor
Cons: We were not informed of the holding deposit until we arrived to check-in. We were then informed that it would be £30, what was actually taken from our engineers account was double this amount. When he questioned this he was informed that the price fluctuates throughout the night and due to room rate!!! The room was cold and in need of modernisation and drinks were very expensive. Will not be booking here again
