I rented a car, prepaid and made the check in, all ready for just pick up and go, but when I arrived to the office, they told me that I had my license banned/blocked for a non-payment in a past claim damage, when supposedly was paid for my insurance company. I was hurry for get the car, so I didn't have time for ask to my insurance company what happened. It took me a couple hours even pay, because nobody knows why I was banned.Reviewed Oct 29 2022

It was one of the worst experiences I have ever had with a car rental company. We arrived at Salt Lake City Airport on 12-29-21. There was a large group of six so I had prepaid for a minivan a few weeks prior to be sure I would have a vehicle. When I got there I got a call from Jason at the Salt Lake City office who informed me that the minivans they had were still all out from previous renters. I had to cancel that rental and book 2 smaller vehicles at the airport through Alamo Rental which cost an extra $200 for me. Very dissatisfied with Hertz.Reviewed Jan 3 2022

Pros:Nothing. Car was not there, had to make different reservation. Found better rate with different company. Nothing satisfying at all about the experience.Cons:The car be available, for starters would be great. Refund me the full amount of the rental since it was not available to use for my trip. When I reached out to customer service I was out on hold for over 30 minutes, being reassured I would speak to someone in “4 minutes” then “2 minutes” then “6 minutes” then just disconnected me. Really awful experience and I’d really appreciate someone making it right by at least refunding my money.Reviewed Apr 12 2021
