Cons: For the price of the hotel there wasn't anything "above and beyond". There wasn't coffee in the rooms which was disappointing. We stayed at the hotel zaza last visit and would probably return there. They had small macaroons sitting out with lemon water in the lobby. Also when we checked in there we were greeted with a glass of champagne. They also offered a weekend getaway package for the same we paid at Rosewood and we received a bottle of champagne in our rooms and gourmet breakfast at their restaurant. The spa was very outdated, my massage was fantastic. But could hear the parking garage above a few times. The rest of the spa was clean just very much in need of updates. Something to consider.

Cons: My friends and I scheduled spa treatments. The "spa" is more like a locker room in a basement, complete with outdoor furniture and a tv on the wall with a program going. No soothing music or lounge type chairs. It was not relaxing at all. My friends liked their facials, but I didn't love my massage. For $150 after tax and tip, I expect a lot more. This was probably the worst spa experience for the price that I've ever had.

The hotel has immediate access to all local Dart rail trains (leading everywhere), the T (taking you to Fort Worth) and Amtrak with straight connections to Chicago and Los Angeles. A memorable vacation starts with 1 or 2 nights here and then a surprise trip either on Amtrak or Dart out to DFW airport. The atrium is amazing with views of Reunion tower and the famed 560 Wolfgang Puck's restaurant. Make your reservations at least 2-3 weeks out to get an available time slot for a memorable night viewing downtown Dallas from 3/4 of mile away and 560 feet up in the air. Room was spacious and immaculate and view of downtown, rail station, Omni was incredible. Request a view of downtown when you check in.

Cons: We had a problem getting the bathroom door open and so I called front desk before stepping out for dinner. They said they'd get an engineer to come out to take a look. When we got back, the sliding door opened once before getting jammed again. I kind of gave up and decided not to even bother another engineer since we were not there to engjoy our time and not get things repaired.

Pros: My girlfriend and I stayed here for one night while I was in town visiting her and we had an amazing time. She lives in Dallas but we took a night in a hotel just for a nice change of scenery and had an experience we will remember forever. The room was spectacular but I have to mention the service first. Our friend at the front desk, Angelina Fiorini, was incredibly pleasant to talk to and helpful. one of the best hotel front desk staff I've talked with in a long time. Even though my girlfriend and I were there for a private night away we were still desighted to have a long conversation with her.
After our chat we went up to the room. Angelina gave us a junior suite which was well decorated and filled with quality furniture, a comfy bed and a great bathroom. We decided if we ever live in a house it should feel like this place.
Glad we got to stay at the stoneleigh and will definitely come back when we need a comfortable spot in Dallas.

Cons: The hotel is an atrium hotel and is extremely large. During my stay there was a prom, a conference, and a wedding hosted by the hotel - it was extremely noisy and crowded. While its very large, its also quite an old hotel. There's one set of elevators for each atrium and the walk to and from the room is really long! Kayak listed it as 4 star and I've generally had a great experience with selected 4 star hotels throughout the country; this one was extremely disappointing.

Cons: For this room costing me $400/night it was a fairly poor value. The bathroom was so small that I had to climb over the toilet to get in and out of the shower. No balcony, no sitting room, the plumbing gurgled and rattled every time anyone used it nearby, and I could hear everything going on in the adjacent room. The hotel is sooooo huge and no signs or directories. People were constantly lost and asking each other for directions everywhere I went (I don't get why they don't have signs in TX, not specific to the hotel alone, very few signs on the roads too).
So basically the room was a confort inn with a hilton price tag. Nothing complimentary or included, not worth the money. Stay at the Sheraton across the street.

Cons: I called to reduce my stay by one night - from four to three - and they would no longer honor the group rate under which I made my original reservation. Instead, they insisted on charging me what averaged out to about $120/night more. While I still attended the conference, I changed my reservation to the Sheraton Suites across the street. I would recommend the Sheraton Suites if you are in the area.
For the conference, there was an on-going problem with the audio being used - feedback, static through the mics.

Cons: Only complaint I have is that they falsely charged me $92. After calling them, they immediately checked and said they would refund their error but definitely something to keep track of if you stay here as I read in another review that they had the same problem.

Cons: Paper thin walls - can hear noise from above, both sides of the rooms, and especially the hallway!!! I can hear clearly worded conversations from the hallway. The door to the bathroom is barn-door style, so it doesn't shut securely, doesn't lock, leaves a small gap, and can hear everything going on in there (not too awesome for friends or acquaintances who want to share a room but have loud bathroom manners).

Cons: As nice as the rooms were, we were given a 4th floor room that faced the main street through the Cedars district of Dallas; Lamar St. And that was what really put a damper on our stay. The noise of semi trucks and dump trucks going by with their loud exhaust was enough to wake you up many times during the night. There also were several potholes or bumps in the road that made the dump trucks rattle very loudly. This is not really the hotel's fault but it did sound like the trucks were coming through the room. I would think a brick building would be more sound proof. Perhaps its the old windows and some sort of acoustic film could reduce the noise a little. It is unfortunate because it really is a nice hotel, perhaps a room off the side street or rear of the hotel would be quieter. I really hope they can fix this because its a great location and well executed.

Cons: Drinks for the evening reception: you get 2 drinks each, house wine which is not good, or domestic beer...hope you like Bud or Miller, not good for me. They have plenty of drinks but you pay for anything else.
But the biggest problem is the food. We have eaten at Magnolia before and it was great. This time there is nothing good to say except for those who served us, excellent service. I sent my $29 rib eye back when it was well done instead of med. rare. Came back bloody pulp rare. I gave up. The spaghetti with veal meatball sounds great on paper and has no taste in reality. Given the other places around to eat, do not eat here as the kitchen has taken a dive.

Cons: We checked in for New Year's Eve and specifically requested a room with a view of fireworks. The first room had no view, I had to pay for an upgraded room after going back downstairs. The room we got next was a disaster. Stains on the couches, dirty carpets, chair that was breaking, and fraying towels. The MOD came up to the room, looked at everything, apologized and moved us to yet another room. She was lovely and sent up a bottle of champagne but I would rather not have had to deal with switching rooms which led to us being very late for our dinner reservation. In short- rooms are not well maintained (last room had staples on the floor), only valet parking, SLOW elevators and front desk staff that don't seem to actually care.

Cons: rooms need updating, outdated bathroom fixtures, first room bed was broken, expected a little more for my money and for the high rating it had.

Cons: Someone was smoking weed on my floor because my room smelled like we had 4+ blunts going at the same time. Repeated calls to the front desk for assistance was completely useless.
The only decent thing in this hotel is the bar, to drink away your anger for being stuck in this horrible hotel.

Cons: Upon arrival we were told that all the king bed rooms were taken which we had reserved prior to. Then we walk into the room that wasn't clean. Beer cans strewed everywhere, beds were filthy and trash all in the room. Not only that but the elevators were out of order and we had to climb 8 flights of stairs each time we left the room. Worst stay ever

Cons: Was not given the room we pre-paid for. I had booked a king bed, my wife and I arrived at about 9:00pm and were given two double beds. I thought that was a pretty rookie move by the kid behind the counter, who said there were no more king beds available, despite my having pre-paid for it. Not cool.

Cons: One of my families had dirty linens when they checked into their room. Another had a hole with mold on the ceiling. We had ants in our room. For the cost of the hotel I feel the rooms should be better and there should be some kind of breakfast included.

Pros: Rooms were nice and clean.
Cons: 1 out of 4 elevators were working and we all had to walk 30 flights of stairs with all of our luggage. There was no apology or compensation for anything. I understand technically issues happen but we were on the 30th floor and it had been 8 hours.. ridiculous.

Pros: Amazing hospitality and service. I was suggesred to join a free awards members club for the starwood hotels at check in which allowed me a club level pass for a happy hour, complimentary breakfast and wifi.
Cons: Dallas is a spread out city so it was only a short drive to downtown activities which meant uber/lyft friendly. It would have been better if it were a true walking distance but location was still really good just not great if you want to ho into extreme detail but still very satisfied.

Cons: No drinks in vending machines on 3 different floors we tried. Only one snack vending machine that needs exact change on the far side of the other tower we didn't even stay in.

Pros: The staff was extremely nice. They were very concern about my issues. I was very upset because of the third party booking but the staff was very patient, polite and accommodating. My stay was enjoyable and the room was very clean.

Cons: Our room, room 1913 in the South Tower resembled a cheap motel room on the outskirts of town. There were stains on the walls and on the comforter, holes in the wall, wall paper pealing from the wall... Overall status of the room was extremely poor.

Pros: I liked the location to the trains going through downtown dallas. It is a high-rise hotel so some rooms overlook downtown.
Cons: Yes, staff unfriendly and would not answer phone calls to front desk after hours of continous attempts went downstairs in pajamas due to the fact that the heater never worked. Maintance came in to room at 2am even though attempts were made beginning at 11pm. And, the heater was never repaired. The safe in room did not work. The reservation made through booking.com 2 days prior to arrival was not there. So after much delay at front desk and another credit card charge was able to go to room with no heater,no staff that would help, and a safe that did not work.

Pros: Hotel rooms were big. They were clean. The coffee in the room was good but the sugar and creamer were terrible. Beds were comfortable. The bartender at the bar downstairs was awesome.

Pros: Great location just 10 minutes walk from Dealey Plaza and The Sixth Floor Museum. The Light Rail station is just behind the hotel and down one block. Not much else to do or see in downtown Dallas. Food court, pharmacy, Starbucks and Bank of America (BOA) branch down under the BOA building directly across the road from the hotel but only on weekdays. McDonalds 2 blocks from the front of the hotel and another one about to open behind the hotel near the Light Rail stop (I think it is West End stop). If you want shopping, try the suburbs. Hotel staff were great, Thrive restaurant food was really nice. Coin operated laundry on the 9th floor, which was handy.

They charged me an extra day of parking when I only stayed 3 days not 4
THey charged my credit card $250 cleaning fee when I never smoked in the room or hotel. Then you call and call and the GM brain. Never returns voicemails that you left him

Cons: The smell of the hallway was bad. It seems like they never cleaned or replaced the carpet ever. The location also looked a little shady as we were walking to the hotel.

Cons: 1. Shower head soaked the bathroom floor and carpet. I requested a repair but it did not happen.
2. Food was cold. I ordered soap but got chili. I was sink and too weak to complain.
3. Hotel has some many random people in and out. Not a professional environment.

Pros: Hotel rooms were big. They were clean. The coffee in the room was good but the sugar and creamer were terrible. Beds were comfortable. The bartender at the bar downstairs was awesome.
Cons: The staff was a little sarcastic and not very friendly. The hotel was being worked on so it was dusty and wet. There were some homeless people hanging out around the building outside in the doorways.

Cons: Several reasons this hotel gets a negative rating.
1. It's older and a little musty. 2. The air conditioning makes a loud sound every time it turns on throughout the nigh. 3. It's right next to what seems like a homeless encampment. Very scary to walk through especially at night. 4. They charged my credit card twice! Now I have to wait for the extra charge to come off my card and they didn't even offer me any type of credit or complimentary breakfast or anything! Overall just a bad hotel.
