Cons: There are low flying planes that go directly over the hotel both day and night. It wasn’t obnoxiously disturbing but noticeable.

Cons: For the cost, the room was not that extravagant. You cannot bring in any outside alcohol. The room fridge is fully stocked, but of course, you will have to pay for everything. The room "menu" even stated that certain pillow and robe usage cost around $50 and $75, respectively.

Cons: Our fridge didn’t even work so everything remained hot , The ice was great but it was was essentially like crushed ice and since the fridge nor freezer worked and the ice machine was empty on the floor next to us(there’s not a machine on every floor) , it was just a lot of running around unnecessarily just to keep a drink cold . The staff was amazing ! But you’d think paying so much you’d have a working fridge . I pay so much to stay somewhere else for a relaxing experience and spending time with the one I love . But running around like a chicken without its head just to find ice was slightly annoying and Possibly hindering our return .

Cons: Our only issue was that our luggage took half an hour to reach our room and if we had known we would have taken it up ourselves. The front desk manager was very apologetic and brought it up himself after two calls enquiring after our luggage had been made. There was a large conference there for Mary Kay affecting all hotels in the area we discovered, but even so extra staff should have been put on duty to cater for this. Also the lifts appear very slow although there were five lifts we were not convinced that they were all working.This may have been due to the Mary Kay factor however.

Cons: My room wasn’t cleaned until late in the day. Not really practical for guests who after a day of work or playing tourist go back to an unclean room. In room dining’s option is dated and doesn’t offer enough vegetarian options; just the Caesar salad. And a grilled cheese. Disappointing for an hotel that wants to compete with the Ritz just located next door.

Cons: The entire staff seemed put off by answering any basic question of ours, they weren’t knowledgeable about the simplest of things like what time check out was even!! We were put on hold so they could check... meanwhile i could hear the other line going off in the background. They just wanted to switch over to a more important guest. The spa flat out lied to us about their availability. When we tried to push our checkout time by 30 minutes after enduring all of this so that we could go to a neighboring spa it simply couldn’t be done. The shower was broken, my fiancé fixed it, the mirror in the bathroom was broken, my fiancé attempted to fix it but then said “honestly i should Be paid for fixing all of these issues”. We asked for a dog bed. They offered it at check in but they were reluctant to send one up in the ten minutes it took us to change our mind about wanting one. It was disgusting Don’t ask for the dog bed. They apparently offer free car service in 5 miles. Don’t even bother. They won’t answer the phones to call you one. We had such high hopes for this place as we visit the spa and CBD often. This was our first and LAST stay at the joule. You’ve lost two customers that used to sing your praises.

There was a gentleman who was working the Bistro, I believe his name was Adrian? (My apologies if that is incorrect) Very nice man. There were 2 adults sitting at the bar area and they were talking to one another, one guest used some foul language, not a big deal to me since were adults & my kids didn’t even hear... But he was thoughtful enough to ask them to tone it down because my kids were in the area. Very kind of him to do so. There is no buffet if you’re looking for that type of breakfast but the choices they had were pretty good. It was a good change for us since were use to buffet breakfast at hotels. We will definitely stay again if we are in the area!

Smelled funny and old just like it looked, I’m think all the rooms need to be remodeled to look just as nice as the lobby. I was also upset about the little balcony, like I don’t even have the right words to explain how disappointed I was/am about that. I would never stay at this location again. I always stay at a Courtyard when traveling but this was the worst I’ve ever been to.

Cons: I reserved a 2 queen room and when we got to our room they were full sized beds. They looked super comfy like a cloud but they were rock hard. Which was a big bummer after a long drive and night at a concert. Also, we had to turn the ac down to 62 in order for one side of the room to cool down and not feel as muggy. The pillows were mostly air too. When we were leaving it took valet 25mins to bring our truck. Also, there's no self park. You have to valet. If it was a mediocre hotel I wouldn't mind the bed but considering I paid $160+ I wish the beds and pillows were better... And actually queen sized like I was told.

Pros: It was affordable and convenient. The parking was fairly cheap. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The bellhops were very kind and fairly quick when storing/getting my bags at the checked-bags area.
Cons: They said they put us on an allergy friendly floor because my friend is allergic to down and there was STILL a feathered pillow on the bed. They tried to tell me I couldn’t have a two queen room when I booked a two queen room. The water pressure was not great, the tub didn’t drain well, and the toilet had a constant running noise.

Cons: The bathroom was standard and not what I expected from a hotel of this level. Rust stain in bathtub and shower did not work. Inadequate bathroom lighting. Toilet shredded toilet paper instead of flushing it the first time.

Cons: I’ve stayed in crappy motels and Canvas hotel was a worse experience than any of those. The lack of communication, respect and what you’d expect for the cost was grossly lacking. We weren’t able to check into our hotel until 8:30pm even though check In was at 3pm. I asked for an extended check out to make up for the time we didn’t get our room, they said yes but didn’t communicate it properly in their system because they knocked on our door and called us wondering why we were still in our room. I would much rather have spent my money at literally any other hotel in dallas or even just stayed home for a better experience. Booked this hotel for my husband’s birthday for a staycation and it was a regret.

Cons: If you do not like music bumping loudly through the walls do not ask for the top floor. Music played until at least midnight and I believe it was 1 am until it stopped. Most staff was nice except for a couple staff members. This hotel was full of highly intoxicated young (early twenties) people. If you're in your 30's and looking for a quiet staycation getaway, this is not the place for you. The bar on the roof is way over priced.

Cons: As for the front desk staff, it depends on who's there. Our room was on the 5th floor, which you should avoid because the rooftop (6th floor) and swimming pool are above you and they can all party and be loud. We asked the front desk if we could change the room but he said staying in any room in the hotel could hear the music (hmm... really?). In our room, the bed, chairs, and couch were comfortable but the bathroom barn door was stuck and couldn't slide to close (a bit inconvenience when you stayed with a partner and you or him/her wants to do a little business in the toilet.

Cons: I reserved a king suite for my wife and I. I dont know what made this room a suite. There was no refrigerator or a couch, only 1 lounge chair and a chair at the table that was supposed to be the desk. Staff at the bar were very rude and didnt seem to want to serve me or my wife. The staff were very prejudicial and stuck up.

Pros: The valet was exceptionally friendly and very customer service oriented!! Our check in was a little slow but I believe that may have been due to new employee. The only complaint is I called to ask if I could have them put flowers I was going to have delivered in our room prior to our arrival and was told yes and then once the flowers were being delivered I called again and they wouldn't put them in our room and just kept them at the front desk. But everything else was good!

Cons: The air didn't work in our room. It was a sweat box all night. The toilet was leaking from the top every time you flush and it ran for very long time. The front desk didn't seen to care that we had a bad experience.
