Beware of budget rent a car. We reserved a car for this weekend for the time of our midnight flight arrival. When we got there (on time), they had no cars, and the desk agent told us we could “try” taking the tram to one of the other terminals to see if budget had cars at those. She couldn’t even tell us before sending us away. Luckily, we called before going on this wild goose chase. The other terminal locations were already closed and had no cars. She was just going to send us away knowing that we would be heading off with no hope of getting a car at the other terminals. This is at midnight, a single mom with exhausted kid and luggage in tow. We ended up taking a ride share to our hotel and calling customer service. The customer service agent was also completely unhelpful. Their solution was to rent us a car from a different location in the morning, not for the price we had reserved ($100), but instead for $900! They messed up and were only willing to rectify the situation at nearly 10x the cost of our original reservation, which of course we did not do. I wish we had just read the reviews for Budget Orlando airport before making the reservation because apparently they do this all the time! we were in Orlando for a tournament and someone else on our team had the same story the next day. Totally corrupt business practice. Please don’t let yourself get caught in this scam.Reviewed Jan 30 2024
