Delayed boarding... we were kept standing in the bus for too long... the bus was packed and smelling people!!! As if it's not enough, when we finally came off the bus, we had to wait again standing in the sun waiting to board..

Our flight from Kasane to JNB was delayed, which meant we missed our connection to CPT. The JNB ground staff were not helpful at first, initially insisting that our flight into JNB had been on time when in fact it was 40 minutes late. No domestic transfer staff available. So we had to wait another 3 hours for the next flight to CPT, then nearly 40 minutes for our luggage. Getting into our hotel after midnight was never in the itinerary. Airlink travel is not in our future!

+ There was a great small meal even on the short flight + They gave our kids a magazine that kept them busy because there were no screens - We didn't get a boarding pass for our infant in arms for the connecting flight

Just an short flight. So it was great. Airlink is pretty good😀

Airlink is my preferred airline for travel in South and Southern Africa. Upington international airport is small so check in and security screening is a breeze. Boarding is easy and the flight was good. Took a while to get the luggage at OR Tambo airport but all in all a nice experience

It was a great experience , it was quick and on time

this route is more expensive than you would expect. Boarding, disembarking was easy and fast. Cabin crew was friendly. Seats are small

The meal was excellent and well suited to a short journey.

Original flight was delayed due to technical issue. Very poor communication. The manager only appeared when we were climbing on board the plane. This resulted in us missing our follow on flight also with Airlink. No ticket issued from Skukuza and no assistance when we landed to address the issue. We had to make our own arrangements and go to their sales desk. Again they had no knowledge of the flight delay and of any passengers that had connecting flights. The lady (unfortunately with all the STRESS I have forgotten her name) at the counter was extremely helpful and is an excellent example of the type of employee Airlink need to promote and employ. Our luggage was in limbo due to all the missing information and assistance. We had to resort to buying extra tickets from South African Airways who were extremely helpful. I work at an airport so am familiar with its workings. I will infuture be looking for alternative flights.

Airline is the best airline experience I’ve ever had.

I love FlySafair! PUNCTUALITY is what they do best, and thier schedule is so flexible, how they've structured Departure slots, one can decide to leave any time of the day. I am a coffee lover, I was astonished with their partnership with Boottleggers to allow us have specialty coffee on board, so wonderful.

My second leg of the journey was cancelled - Without notifying me. No agents at the airport upon check in told me either. I arrived in Johannesburg South Africa with no connecting flight to Cape Town. I had to scramble to get a hotel room at the airport and a flight the next morning to Cape Town in another airline at my own expense. Out of pocket additional cost to me was over $500.00. Flysafar did not help me at all. They were very disappointing. I would be extremely hesitant to use them again.

Seats are very narrow. Boarding was delayed. The R85 voucher is insufficient for a wine and mixed nuts. Needs to be increased for "business class".

Our flight was canceled. The airline was apparently on strike.

Don’t waist money on priority. Changed the gates. Then let everyone through while priority row was twice as long. Got sooner to my seat jumping to the end of the line

Old planes and lack of attention to detail. Horrible experience.

Very good experience considering that is low cost company. Good value for money.

Make some provisions for non-disabled elderly people who don't require assistance necessarily but would appreciate not having to walks long distances or stand for prolonged periods of time. For example: Seats close to boarding gates. Not being required to climb down and up stairs to board and deplane if in rows 17 upwards. Not being required to stand in long queues in boarding tunnels waiting to board. Priority fast track through security points to avoid long queues in departure halls.

Great airline. Will use again. Keep up the great work though and maintain your customer retention. And please keep an eye on the bottom line and stay in business for decades to come and grow from strength to strength.

For the first time ever we had a grumpy check in agent. I got told off for not having a lock on my bag and she looked seriously put out that we were checking in as a group of 7. Very unusual as I fly regularly with Safair and all the staff have always been super friendly.

Boarded almost 48 hrs later after a scheduling change on my initial flight that was not communicated either by kayak of SAA.

I had booked a ticket for a 6:40 am departure in July 2025, but it appears there was a change to 8;00 am, which meant I missed my connecting flight which departed 10 m minutes before I landed. I had seen this problem only the previous day and try to resolve it with South African air, but they are very uncooperative on the phone. All they could say was all flights were fully booked and I ended up buying paying $2,000+ to secure a ticket for my family to ensure we got out of South Africa by Monday, which am currently pursuing with the airline.

Excellent airline. Even with 1.5 hour flight, we got light meal on board

South African Airways on the outside, a very old shabby Qatar Airways plane on the inside

The food options were beef or veg, No alternatives for Hindus, that don't eat beef...

Flight was on time Seats ( business class) are terrible- you keep on slipping down as it doesn’t lie flat Food service is like economy class. Meals ( still wrapped in plastic) are just dropped in front of you

On time flight; otherwise not impressed by the check- in- purchased business class and the aircraft was downgraded; no refund given for the difference. Told I could access the lounge due to the above and was questioned by the lounge check- in person who was not friendly

Flight was cancelled with no notification until I reached the check-in desk at the airport. I also got downgraded and they lost my luggage.

Very bad. Linda the hostess was very rude all the time

Very bad, Linda the hostess was very rude all the time

The plane was ok, I was in business class and was surprised there were no pods and each seat was right next to another one. That said it was comfortable and the food and coffee were good. Entertainment wise again I was surprised to see only movies and no TV shows. Check-in at Toronto Pearson was an absolute disaster, which was especially disappointing as I was a business class passenger. There was no dedicated staffing for the business counter and four (4) airlines employees assisted one economy class passenger for about 15 minutes when one could have easily assisted me. Overall room for improvement, particularly in the on-ground experience and airplane infrastructure.

The plane was old and the luggage racks above us were visibly shaking during turbulence. Water was dripping on our heads during landing. Our flight was over 2 hours late departing but we were not updated or told what to expect as the screen at the gate continued to read “on time”

Check in took over an hour because printer was not working. Attendant did not know how to give free layover Addis Ababa hotel vouchers or update frequent flyer number. After repeated attempts, got voucher emailed. However hotel wanted printed voucher hence more delay. Bus time from hotel back to airport was printed 4:50 hours, but hotel reception called at 3 pm saying bus will leave at 4 pm. Then hotel reception called again saying 4:15 pm. We rushed at 4:15 pm and bus was not ready until 4:40 pm. Many audio outlets were not working in planes.

Need to do a lot of improvement on service and cleaness

The Boeing 737 MAX on this route, flown in the middle of the night, is an UTTER FAILURE for business travellers. The whole point of business travel is to arrive alert and recover from travel quickly, and this little aeroplane with its quarter recline uncomfortable business seats does nothing for that. It’s a small step up from economy in that you have decent legroom, but that’s it. Absolute margin at the cost of the traveller.

The food was terrible and the seating was uncomfortable, but the airline did a great thing letting us board in Abbis Ababa on our connecting flight after our original flight was very delayed.

Food hardly ever changes Videos not often updated for often travel.

The flight is packed and it feels like the space per individual has gotten smaller. Excruciating for a 14hr flight.

Were not told that carryon laggage has to be only 12 kgs but my bag was heavier asked to pay an additional $550.00. I could have upgraded to a bussiness class for that price and no one at the gate to upgrade but able to take money for the extra weight. I felt like this was a setup scam.

Forgotten Suite inside of the top compartment but went back to ask and they didn’t leave at the lost and found place. Also the checking in was so horrible. I had multi city and one of the passenger saint have visa go go go Dubai. The Ethiopian airlines never had information about requirement for US permanent resident so couldn’t go to Dubai. And when coming back to US we were told we can not use our Addis to Washington ticket and they forced us to get new ticket. Very horrible experience.
