I even asked them about the possibility of overbooking but they said that wasn't a risk. (I am Star Gold so I didn't think that was possible.) When at the airport they wouldn't give me a seat and they bumped me leading to many hours of confusion, a connection through Tanzania, and a loss of a night of sleep. And lots of stress. I know they de-prioritized the people who booked on Kayak. This was a miserable experience and unless you do something to fix this I will never use Kayak again."

Cons: "The flight to Lviv was cancelled after 3 hours delay. All happens in life. But the only option Turkish airlines were offering is to fly the next day. I was flying to the funeral and this was not working for me (especially this was their second flight to Lviv cancelled - 2 in a row). The transfer desk didn't inform that there were two other flights going the same day of other airlines. When i approached to help me to go with a different airline the personal was very rude saying they will not help transferring the luggage and that they can't unload the luggage sooner than 3 hours after you go out of the security and passport control. When i asked to book to a different destination in Ukraine. It took 50 min at the desk to do it. Simply because 4 people at the desk were laughing and joking and nobody was concerned about the queue of over 40 people staying. After 30 min it turned out they've lost my boarding pass and it took 15 min to find it as one of the transfer guys managers simply took it to a different room... At the end when they found it it took only 5 min to do the work. I would appreciate more information from the desk about available flights and more support to manage the situation. I'm happy that people at the transfer desk are so joyful and happy it obviously helps to deal with the stressed passengers whose flight was cancel."
Cons: "It was a struggle to get our hotel from the turkish hotel desk crew. We were travelling from Cape Town to Toronto with a little baby and had a layover of approx 10 hours at Istanbul. They claimed that our layover was 9 hr 40 mins (and not 10 hours) and I had to argue before we finally got a transit hotel. Their customer service is poor."

(on our initial flight on this route they had showed a very violent movie not at all appropriate for our young children to be exposed to, and then the second was too long for the flight and was cut off before it ended) I appreciated that they also had a vegetarian meal option available even if you had not pre-ordered. We were able to board the plane through a ramp and didn't have to go up stairs. Lost baggage was delivered the next day. SA uses a lost bag logistics company in Nairobi that only has one attendant and computer in baggage claim. So it takes a very long time to enter in one's lost luggage claim when there are several needing to file."

This did not transpire and the whole plane had to sleep in the departure lounge on the seats with cold aircon and no food or drink. The staff went home and left us to survive. We were told that they would not put us on another flight. By 8 am there was a mutiny because no one was keeping us informed about what was happening. We were tired and hungry and they just did care. After a group meeting, which got very angry, we were then allocated a room in a hotel. The lack of help was unbelievable and we were made to feel like criminals. No senior management came to give apologies. No compensation was offered for our 24 hour delay."

At Addis I was advised that the luggage was being transferred to the Tel Avid flight ET404 3. On arrival at Tel Aviv - no luggage. Advised it would arrive Thurs afternoon and be delivered to my hotel. I asked which flight it would come on and when I could expect that it would be delivered. Was told that was not possible to confirm. IN MY MIND THAT INDICATES THAT THIS IS NOT GENUINE CONFIRMATION. 4. I asked what arrangements would they make for me to get an allowance to cover costs of some clothing/toiletry items I would need to buy. Was told this is not Ethiopian Airlines policy!!!!! 5. This cannot be as there are international regulations in this regard. 6.YOU WILL PAY for express laundry service and a couple of items I'll need to buy today!!! 7. Tried calling 039754008 and only get a recorded message! THIS IS TOTALLY UNSATISFACTORY"

I fail to understand why they didn't dock this domestic flight into the DOMESTIC terminal, and use a regular getway to deplane everyone."

When it says “dis-infection of Aircraft” means Passengers are not Aircraft. Passengers should not be sprayed on. Passengers should not be in the airplane when this is sprayed. 2. Use for Pre-embarkation means no human in the aircraft. We were inside of the aircraft. It sprayed on our body all over and everywhere. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Major health damages: 3. After the spray, several passengers (our travel group) had severe sneezing attacks and running nose and sinusitis. One lady sneezed at least 50 times non-stop initially and continued to sneeze for the rest of the trip in the plane. Her sinus was swollen and painful for the rest of trip to Johannesburg. You are lucky she did not make a big deal and suffered silently. You may argue that WHO approved it. On the bottle, WHO approve for the use of Aircraft, not human in the aircraft. On August 15, 2016, I witnessed many passengers’ immune system were damaged – some reacted violently. 4. Please do not wait until someone has asthma attack and die in your aircraft due to allergy to the spray. 5. As a physician I prescribe Permethrin for Scabies treatment. Patients were told to use it on the skin for 8-10 hours and then wash off complete right away due to potential neurotoxicity, especially for young children. 6. My medical specialty is Integrative Medicine and Preventive Medicine. I feel I am obligated to bring this up to Department of Health of South Africa in order to prevent passengers being harmed, especially those who suffer from chemical / environmental allergies, rhinitis, sinusitis, asthma, COPD, skin disease, migraine, etc… just to name a few. 7. Suggestion and Solution: Passengers should all be off the plane, and escort to an area while aircraft is being re-fueled, cleaned and sprayed insides. This will make the cleaning crews more efficient for their cleaning work and less allergenic reactions, potential fatal, to passengers who suffer dust and / or insecticide spray allergies. This will reduce health hazard to passengers and workers. Thank you for being conscious about environmental safety issues. PS: One crew member, Imraan, is very conscientious. He came and showed his concern about symptoms one lady had from spray. He made SA airlines look better. One crew member was rude because he reluctant to give me one bottle of water for my husband who was sleeping at the time of the drink service. ."

In this case, we were delayed for 2 hours, arrive to Nairobi and am at the gate 15 mins before and they sent me to customer service as the gate had just closed. More than 5 other people on the flight missed this common connection as well. Not only did KQ not have a system in place to work with other flights, the service area was completely swamped. People missed their connections because they couldn't get to the front in time to have a boarding pass printed or have a question answered. The staff were rude and didn't give eye contact or answer questions."
