Please have restroom facilities in boarding area, past security so you can use the restroom without having to go through security again. Cons: "After thorough check (and hours at the airport) at the holiday destination, Dubai, my luggage was deemed lost. The DXB lost luggage staff helped me complete a 'lost luggage' report. However, the staff member told me that 'if' RwandAir found my luggage, I would be responsible for going to the airport as RwandAir does not have lost luggage delivery like most airlines. For the six days of my holiday, I waited for phone calls and checked emails expecting to hear from RwandAir. I heard nothing, RwandAir had made no effort of any kind to locate my luggage they had mishandled. Upon flying back home, I checked with the initial airport (DXB), the transit airport (Kigali), and my final destination airport (Brazzaville). My luggage was not in any of the airports mentioned. In each airport, and the RwandAir office at the Brazzaville airport, I presented the initial lost luggage form from the prior week and it was apparent that nobody, no airport, and no office was interested in finding my luggage. RwandAir, at no point, apologized for losing my belongings or in any way attempted to make up for seriously harming my holiday- not to mention the fact that it appears I will never see my possessions that were last seen being taken by RwandAir staff at the beginning of my holiday travels."

Missed connection to Manchester. Paid for my own hotel room overnight in Paris CDG. Flight will arrive a day late in Manchester. That means I have missed my flights from Manchester to UK with Air Lingus (booked through Kayak website) It seems I must now purchase a new ticket to get home from Manchester to Nashville. All expenses I can ill afford. Lesson learned...cannot afford to use Kayak anymore...sorry."

The pilot did a great introduction and gave information about the trip. Also the plane toilets were clean compared to other companies. I expected to see a wider selection of more recent and award winning movies. Will definitely fly Turkish Airlines again."

Pros: "I used the prime lounge in Istanbul and when it was time to go, I was able to practically walk on the plane without any wait. The seats were comfy and didn't have a ton of legroom but it wasn't bad. The staff we're friendly and helpful. The in-flight entertainment had a pretty impressive selection and had one of the best-designed interfaces I've seen so far (and I've ridden a variety of airlines). Last and most important, the food was hands down the BEST I've had on a plane. Turkish is killing it, they're my new go-to airline!"

Pros: "It was a 12 or 13 hour flight and except for sitting too much we were never uncomfortable. The service level made me think we were back in the 80's. Hot towels, attentive service, tons of food and free drinks. There was actually one meal that we would have eaten even if it wasn't on a plane. They gave out full size blankets and pretty fluffy pillows. (I bring our own anymore, because you never know if you will get one on most airlines, and if you do they're usually useless). Their entertainment system was amazing. We caught up on all the recently released movies that we've wanted to see for FREE! If only Netflix had this quality of movie offerings. They had fresh flowers in the huge bathrooms. It's that type of attention to detail you just really don't see anymore."

There were all these secret ways of getting help that they said we didn't qualify for. Supervisors and managers were not available unless I left their desk and went to departures. They said I would have to go back through immigration.. but thankfully, right before I did, someone came and spoke to me. From our several interactions, we received no apologies, but felt that the theme was that everything was my fault.. not the best feeling as a customer. Only my one chat with the supervisor was very nice. She was very patient, sat down with me and helped direct my concerns. Especially with a 13 hour delay. Nairobi seemed great, but our interactions with the staff really took away from our experience. And we missed our vacation in the end.."

Cons: "Kenya changed my flight to two hours later 18 hours before I was to leave. Making me have a 10 minute connection. Then after an hour in a airline office they promised to hold my connection. When my flight landed on time, they did not hold my connection. So they changed my flight and didn’t follow through on the fix. We would now miss wedding activities and business meetings. Then my partner got sick and they refused to taxi us to hotel for the night but take a bus that leaves every three hours. Her sickness got worse and there was a Kenyan airlines doctor who evaluated her at the airport after waiting 40 minutes laying at check in with her crying due to pain. We had a medical release from the doctor saying she needed extra space to lay down but the check in manager refused to make room for her saying the flight is full and she would not upgrade her to accommodate the medical release because we had an economy ticket. My partner looked so bad that the flight crew considered kicking us off but eventually made the space for her to lay down and were helpful on the flight. This is this disgraceful and the worst experience I’ve had with any company."

Cons: "Broken, dirty toilet on board. No control of how much hand luggage bought on board. Broken seats. Dirty."

Pros: "customer service was superb entertainment screens and selection was excellent seats were among the best on any airline. The plane was a seemingly fairly new Boeing Dreamliner, very nice"

Cons: "Food which was the same as previous flight. We, at back, were told there was only the vegetarian option left for breakfast. We all declined. Later we were brought non-vegetarian food ie had a 'poached egg' on it. This was marginally better. Also, I couldn't use 'entertainment' as connection in arm rest bad. Occasionally, on testing, it worked briefly."

Cons: "Staff on the airplane a bit miserable. Uncomfortable seats and no choice of food. Going downhill"

Pros: "Overall it was fine. However there were some downsides..."
Cons: "One of our bags didn't make it. Also, the plane left late for some reason. We weren't sure why they didn't start letting us board sooner. Finally, the airport in Nairobi is dangerous when early morning planes arrive. Arriving passengers who are in transit are ushered down an escalator where they are pushed into one another because of a security line backup...yet the escalator just keeps bringing more people. This happened to us in Nairobi in the early morning of July 26 and again in the early morning of August 2. I feared someone would be trampled or hurt."

Cons: "As with the outbound flight the my screen didn't work. Seats were not particularly comfortable. Food was tolerable. Bag was not transferred from my Arusha flight but I guess that is not Kenya Airways fault."

Cons: "My bag was opened and some items were taken out my watch , cologne for men and some Ghanaian currency for my taxi back home"

Cons: "We only had 30 minutes to catch this connecting flight due to our incredibly delayed PrecisionAir flight. We got to the service desk to get our boarding passes and there was only one person to service a multitude of people. Of course they knew that a flight was coming in, why there was only one personnel is still a mystery to me. The person who served us, Victor K., was probably the least helpful customer service personnel I've come across. He was very slow, considering that he knows there's a lot of us trying to get to our next flight. We ended up missing our connecting flight. And for some reason, the plane left earlier than the time it was supposed to leave. Another mystery to me. Shouldn't their system have told them that there were a few passengers on the previous flight that was supposed to board this connecting flight?! They did give us a free hotel for the night, or so they call a hotel. The food served was just horrendous. They just served whatever is enough to be considered "food". I will never fly with Kenya airways ever again. They are so unreliable, irresponsible, and have very little regard to customer service."

Cons: "I had 3 hours in Johannesburg before catching a shuttle bus, so being an hour late wasn't a big problem. After rushing from Entebbe flight which was an hour late leaving and arriving, I got to the gate to be informed that this NBO to JNB flight was an hour late in departing. Pilot said it was due to "technical difficulties". My ticket had 4 legs : Nov 28 due to leave JNB at 1:20 finally left at 8:30 due to NBO runway closed from plane belly landing - the pilot was very apologetic - LATE. Dec 5 NBO to Entebbe was an hour late due to "passenger problem and luggage taken off" - LATE. Dec 10 Entebbe to NBO left an hour late due to "plane arriving late" - LATE. Dec 10 NBO to Johannesburg was an hour late due to "technical difficulties" - LATE. All 4 flights were at least an hour late leaving and arriving yet the pilots all said thanks for flying Kenya Airways - the Pride of Africa. This is what Africa should be proud of ?!? and Kenya Airways is proud of ?!? Passengers I talked to all were negative in their comments about Kenya Airways. All said there is ALWAYS something of a problem on a Kenya Airways flight. Lady on NBO to EBB flight next to me as we boarded plane and I said everything has gone smoothly so far, replied - the flight isn't over yet - and then we sat in the plane for an hour while they "removed passengers luggage". A man in NBO departure area as we waited to board JNB late flight said, the procedures and organisation are terrible with problems most of the time, which was why he was using up his reward miles because he didn't want to fly Kenya Airways again. This is the culture of this airline which is allowed to continue with seemingly no regard for the paying customers. If the powers that be such as the FAA, imposed a $100 credit to each passenger for late leaving or arriving, I would have received $400 back on a ticket that cost $750. Maybe the airlines would do something practical to remedy their problems and care for the paying customers rather than just saying "we are sorry for any inconvenience "."

Pros: "KQ is one of the few I like among African airliners for its streamlined system and staff's friendliness. This time i took note of a young male CA called Tonny who was very smiley all along, demonstrated care towards all passengers, and seemed to enjoy his work genuinely - which is sadly hard to experience with other global airliners. The staff are well-trained, unlike ET, interacting with passengers on an Raul footing, and it was a pleasant journey this time as well."
Cons: "I am not quite sure if the staff checking passengers in for the flight in EBB were KQ employees, but with that reservation, I was quite disappointed to learn hat KQ does not provide accommodation for 11-hour transit in Nairobi and make its clients stay inside the airport. I almost assumed that the overnight accommodation is given for such a long layover, but nooo! Even when I asked the checkin lady at the alone counter desk at EBB return modestly, "Do you by any chance provide a hotel room for me for the long transit?" She had the guts to say a straight no without a smile or looking into my eyes. I eventually booked a hotel room on my own which cost me nearly $100. I thought that was ridiculous service modality for a major African airliner."

Pros: "My flight was delayed for 7 of hours. However, the airline communicated prior to departure and also provided us with hotel voucher. I missed my connecting flight to Francis town hence Kenya Airways provided me with a voucher to a hotel in Gaborone and I was able to travel the next day. I am grateful for the efficient communication and services provided by KQ."

Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "That the flight time was changed from 8am to 10am and we were not informed until check-in time. Then the flight was changed from 10 to midday, but we were only told during boarding and told to go for breakfast at some restaurant without getting directions. On arriving at the restaurant, we were made to sit in a waiting area for over 30 mins then later told to move to another restaurant, without directions. After going through the gate to board for the midday flight and waiting over an hour, we were informed that we were to fly at 4:15pm! The flight was uncomfortable with seats that had absolutely no leg room and non reclining seats"

Pros: "I went for my honeymoon but ET never transported my luggage. I had to spend my honeymoon buying very expensive clothes and basic needs in Mauritius instead of relaxing. My luggage never came. I got it on my way back to Bamako. Nobody was even able to even trace my luggage or respond professionally on the phone. Out of hundreds of calls I made to them, they only picked up twice. ET screwed my honeymoon that I had planned for over a year. I'm so dissapointed that I don'y even want to claim reimbursement."
