Pros: The staff was amazing! We extended our trip an extra night and the front desk staff was very helpful! We stayed through till Monday and didn't know that breakfast ended half an hour earlier than weekends. But the front desk staff got us cereal and some yogurt/fruit anyway since we didn't know. The staff working in the breakfast area was all smiles and helpful even though we were prolonging her work!

Pros: Everything about this hotel including location was perfect.
8,2 Excellent
Pros: The proximity of the huge ships. You cannot get any closer
Cons: The room was much smaller than you are lead to believe. You pay 300 for a very small cut up room. I don't mind paying 300. I have paid 500 a night. This property doesn't deserve it. The canal room was very small.

Pros: Location, view, nice rooms.
Cons: Not a big deal, but we arrived on a rainy evening and when we pulled up, the parking lot and entance was not well lit. If it wasn't a hotel I'd thought it was closed. The lights under the canopy should be replaced with something MUCH brighter. Weird sausa

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice for the price
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was great. I was in town for government business. I wish I extended my stay here, but the Radisson was right across the courthouse making parking a lot easier. However, the Radisson was awful. I'll never stay there again, but I have been recommending this hotel to everyone. It's a lot cheaper even having booked a suite, there's breakfast and even small appetizers in the evening which was a delightful surprise!
Cons: My only complaint is that the bed was hard as a rock. I like beds on the stiffer side, but this had more brick than fluff.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Room was clean breakfast was good and staff and friendly.
Cons: I paid for a room with a balcony but the door wouldn't open. Paying for something u can't use sucks.

Cons: Jacuzzis (2) were lovely except for the really strong chlorine smell. May think that 2 jacuzzis and a pool in 1 room generate more chlorine vapors than usual. But loved sitting in the jacuzzi and looking out at the snow falling!

8,0 Excellent
Pros: Nice location and easy parking!
Cons: Shower curtain was dirty (fecal material) and staff replaced with a clean one immediately. Just wasn't sure how clean the bathroom was after noticing that.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: the location
Cons: our room was a little small
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Close to water. Close to downtown but tucked away and on main walk way. Clean. Very friendly staff.
3,0 Mediocre
Pros: The views were amazing! Staff was very kind and professional.
Cons: 3 rooms have a single adjoining entry door requiring a key and then a separate door to each room which also have a key entry. This is quite odd and honestly an inconvenience as you share an entry with other guests and you have to go through two doors just to access your room. The rooms are extremely small and feel cramped. The appliances have noticable wear and tear. The heating vents were not visible leading one to believe that there was no hearing system - yet there was an AC system. This was very odd considering it gets quite cold in the winter. When we did find the heating vents they are directly next to furniture which the vents state not to do.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The pool and hot tub were great. Heated underground parking was a great bonus. The room was one of the best we have stayed in. The bed was very comfortable. Staff was pleasant, always smiling, and very helpful. Will definitely come back again.

5,0 Okay
Pros: The location was perfect.

7,7 Good
Pros: Good breakfast, coffee/tea available in the lobby all day, friendly staff, lots of lobby seating, located in Canal Park - easy to walk to restaurants & shops, amazing view of the lake.
Cons: Thin walls, the family next door (sounded like 2 young kids & 1 toddler) kept us up late at night and all night. You also can hear every door bang open/closed around you. It was MEA weekend, and there was a lot going on, but $344/night for a room is ridiculous.

Pros: The location was convenient to our venue and close to restaurants and shopping, not too mention Lake Superior.
Cons: Outside parking, not very convenient and very few spots to park.
5,0 Okay
Pros: Free breakfast and internet
Cons: The lighting in the rooms and bathroom were horrible. Rooms definitely need updating. I could hear a lot of random noise on the floor the first night through the adjacent wall and people in the hallway.
7,0 Good
Pros: There were two entrances to this suite room, but no windows, a little disconcerting. The carpet was very worn...though otherwise really great value for money in the area.
5,8 Okay
Pros: The location was amazing, everything within walking distance! The breakfast was over the top and just incredible..
Cons: When we got there, we didn’t notice many issues as we dropped our stuff in the rooms and went to bentleyville.. when we came in for the evening, the one rooms door didn’t latch shut, and the LOUD creaking and LOUD random sounds you hear throughout the night are disturbing.. we also had quite a bit of hair in our hotel room bathrooms, and in the pool bathroom it was flooded and there was literal poo in the sink.. also, all of the rooms have huge pillars in them, making any kind of together time awkward as it’s in the middle of the room.. I’d come stay there one more time just to see if the upper floor suites are any better, if not, I’ll never go back again.. just not a good experience and was way overpriced
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Clean and convenient, brewery attached and so many options for shops, restaurants and entertainment within walking distance.
Cons: The location
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Location and Breakfast. The room size was big. We would stay here again.
Cons: We thought it could be a little cleaner. The walls also need a fresh coat of paint in the rooms. The bathroom had water damage.
2,0 Mediocre
Pros: It was nice the have your own kitchen area.
Cons: There was only one elevator and stairway, on the other end from where our room was. Sleeping was cold because the window leaked slightly. You couldn't adjust the heat in our room. The pillows were too soft and the bed was hard. Dishes were left in the dishwasher and some were dirty.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything including staffs
Cons: Nothing not to like

1,0 Poor
Pros: Worst hotel ever.
Cons: It's an old motel, no upgrades done to room, saggy uncomfortable mattress.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Great location. Quaint but dated drive up motel. Very nice staff.
Cons: Too dated and small for family with children. Meets basic amenities, but not functional nor family friendly.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: This motel is a cute, old school motel. It has an understated charm to it. It was only a 5-10 minute drive from downtown Duluth at a fraction of the cost. It was in a quiet neighborhood and it had cable. The staff were very friendly.
Cons: I found it odd that the pillows didn't have a pillow protector underneath the pillow cover. I could see visible drool stains on the pillow, which was a little gross. That's where I deducted the cleanliness stars from. It is a dated motel, but still nice.
1,0 Poor
Pros: The check in staff were welcoming.
Cons: Terrible! The air conditioner did not work. There were bugs on the floor and spiders in the shower. My room had dark spots near water damaged woodwork. Mold? The walls were cracked. The wifi did not work. Breakfast was rice krispie treats and coffee.

7,0 Good
Pros: The shuttle drivers were the best
5,0 Okay
Cons: I thought the room was way over priced for the experience we had. I did not know there was construction right outside the hotel, otherwise I may have changed my reservation. In addition, our room was not up to what standard I would expect for the price. There was a blood stain on the comforter. Wallpaper was peeling off the wall. Stains and scuffed tile in the bathroom. Overall, I would never plan to stay here again and I would not recommend anyone else to do so.

Pros: Brian the free shuttle guy was super friendly and accommodating. Front desk staff nice as well. Loved the view of the lake and the lift bridge.
