Excellent 9,0
Pros: Great views of the lake.

Excellent 10,0
Pros: Spacious room with two queen beds. Great view of Lake Superior. Walking distance to multiple restaurants and attractions.

Pros: We spent two days with the fireplace and in-room whirlpool. Cold and cloudy, but the balcony still afforded a wonderful view of Superior. The staff was extremely helpful and down right sweet. And that's always a plus!
Cons: That we could not stay longer.
Excellent 8,0
Cons: The keys didn't work well. Otherwise everything else was good. Karen

Excellent 10,0
Pros: Beautiful lakeside room with a view was clean and comfortable! Great location to check out Canal Park area. Staff was all very friendly, professional and accommodating! We will definitely be back!!
Excellent 9,0
Pros: Room was very clean, pool area was clean, and even though in heavy use, the pool was well maintained.
Excellent 8,0
Pros: Very nice room
Cons: Had to get dressed at 10:00 to go to the lobby to pick up a roll of toilet paper because the room only had a half one. Not sure why they couldn’t deliver it. They did apologize.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Breakfast was delicious and abundant! The beds were the most comfortable hotel bed I have ever slept in. Location was perfect walking distance to the canal.
Cons: The only thing I would change would be requesting a room on the other wing, closer to the Canal. That would improve the lake view.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Comfy bed, proximity to city, great price.
Cons: Coffee was not great.
Excellent 9,7
Pros: The location was ideal for quick tourist trips with our young family. The room was exactly what we needed and the staff was very accommodating!
Cons: We needed a freezer in the room and there wasn’t one available.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Very nice for the price

Good 6,0
Pros: Location, rooms and common areas very nice staff friendly
Cons: The beds were rock hard. Both my friend and I are leaving with back, hip, shoulder pain
Excellent 8,0
Pros: The location is great. The new lake walk will help quite a bit in the future. The bed and pillows were comfortable!
Cons: The COVID measures took a lot of the enjoyment out of the breakfast for me. I know you are doing your best, but there were still lots of people everywhere in the breakfast area and I doubt it was any safer than simply asking masked guests to pick up food as usual and take it to their rooms. Soon, this will not be an issue - hopefully!
Excellent 10,0
Pros: I really liked that they had choices to choose from and a handy form to fill out with your picks. Loved that they had coffee out in the morning and our tray of food was ready and waiting for us at our scheduled time! Very creative pre-packaged food items that tasted pretty good! Beds and pillows are lovely!
Cons: The price seems a bit high, but par for the area of Duluth Canal Park.
Excellent 8,0
Pros: Front desk was friendly and helpful.
Cons: The way to get breakfast was hard and all the muffins and bagels were stale.
Excellent 9,0
Pros: Very comfortable- I like the ore order for breakfast. I would recommend they continue this way indefinitely.
Cons: We were on the 2nd floor- family above us - heard thumping on the ceiling from running
Excellent 8,0
Pros: The staff was friendly and conscientious about cleaning, masks, etc. the patio by the lake and the Canal Park Brewery right next door awesome.
Cons: We paid almost $250 a night after taxes to stay here. The location is great, but the price seemed a little excessive for what is basically a cookie cutter Hampton Inn.
Good 7,7
Pros: Good breakfast, coffee/tea available in the lobby all day, friendly staff, lots of lobby seating, located in Canal Park - easy to walk to restaurants & shops, amazing view of the lake.
Cons: Thin walls, the family next door (sounded like 2 young kids & 1 toddler) kept us up late at night and all night. You also can hear every door bang open/closed around you. It was MEA weekend, and there was a lot going on, but $344/night for a room is ridiculous.
Excellent 9,7
Excellent 9,7
Pros: Great hotel, staff, location, room, everything was perfect!

Pros: Great location in Canal Park Good breakfast Courteous staff Extra pillows
Cons: Rooms are a bit small Paper cups and poor tissues Mattress was too hard

Excellent 10,0
Pros: Have stayed twice now and both times were great. Excellent facilities and very clean and well maintained. The breakfast options are awesome as well. Fire pit outside was a nice touch too. Staff was really helpful and nice too.
Cons: Beds were pretty firm but that’s more of a personal liking.
Okay 4,0
Pros: Pool area was fun for the kids. Breakfast was great. Rooms were clean and neat.
Cons: Didn't have our room ready until after 4, they wouldn't let our kids in pool area since we didn't have a room key. Expected us just to wait in the lobby with 2 kids under 7 for over an hour. TV in the room was terrible.
Excellent 9,0
Pros: great
Cons: great
Excellent 10,0
Pros: I will definitely stay here again! Good pool hours and kids loved the water slide! Everything at the hotel was crisp, clean, and welcoming. Really enjoyed our stay here.
Cons: Breakfast was the only thing that could have been better. Just ok.

Cons: I didn't like that there wasn't any room service.

Excellent 9,0
Pros: The bed was comfortable, the location and staff.
Cons: We had a great stay! The staff were remarkable and the restaurant was great too! Perfect for our getaway!
Excellent 10,0
Pros: The person who checked us in and out was very friendly, helpful, and customer focused! We ordered breakfast, picked it up, and brought it to our room. It was delicious! The room was clean and nicely decorated! The bed was very comfortable! The waitress at the restaurant was very customer focused, helpful, and friendly. She gave us disposable tableware for the meal we brought in from another restaurant. The restaurant at Sheraton was closing soon.
Cons: No suggestions! Keep having the Sheraton clean up to Covid standards! Praise your front line staff! They make or break a customer’s experience!
Good 7,0
Pros: loved the location went elsewhere for breakfast
Cons: room was too hot without air conditioning on
Excellent 10,0
Pros: I treated myself to this hotel of extreme quality for the second time this summer (2020). The atmosphere is calm, clean, and organized in every way. The staff is eager to help you. I appreciated the Starbucks coffee and the complimentary bottled water in the room. Its value matches the price.
Excellent 10,0
Excellent 10,0
Pros: The club room access and the beverages that were available 24hrs. Parking was included, connected to the ramp. Location close enough to walk to many attractions.
Cons: No dislikes.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Great service from beginning to end. A special thanks to Front Desk manager Chris Powell for going out of his way to make my stay top notch.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: I especially like the option of bringing my food up to my room to finish it at a later time. Robes for a quick swim in their Salt water pool, quite inside and out. Excellent location in downtown Duluth.
Cons: The whirlpool water was not hot enough for my taste, but then you can't have everything....
Excellent 10,0
Pros: People, room, accommodations, all was wonderful!
Excellent 10,0
Pros: staff very helpful
Cons: club on 6th floor was closed most of tues.
Okay 5,1
Cons: Hot tub was filthy only holds three. The glasses in our room were dirty and one of the complimentary water bottles was opened and half gone.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: My husband and I were in Duluth celebrating our wedding anniversary. The location of the Sheraton is wonderful as it is in walking distance to several restaurants and bars. The staff was very friendly and when we arrived back in our room the evening of our anniversary we had a complimentary dessert waiting for us along with a card.
Cons: I was a bit pricey to stay here, but I guess you get what you pay for.

Excellent 9,0
Pros: You could not be in a better location to view the lake, sunrise, near lighthouses, beach, restaurants, shops and the picturesque lift bridge!
Cons: We didn’t stay longer.
Mediocre 3,0
Pros: Very poor. Other inns have offered microwave breakfast sandwiches, yogurt and a better variety of fruit or fruit juices.
Cons: Breakfast as stated above. Cleaner room. All the furniture was very dusty, the mirrors were smeared. The toilet paper holders were dusty. The staff did not keep us informed of the fire alarm.
Excellent 8,0
Pros: Breakfast....I have been to The Inn many times before Covid 19. Their breakfast at that time was great. I know they are doing the best they can under Covid Procedures. What they service now is below the quality of expectations.
Cons: Breakfast...They offered coffee, hot chocolate, tea and water. Granola bars, muffins and fruit. The muffins are generic and nothing to eat twice. I think the food they offer could be a better quality. I've always thought the The Inn was a unique place. I think they need to break from the herd and rise above covid and offer a better quality of food.
Mediocre 2,0
Pros: Location is convenient. Nearby restaurants.
Cons: Booked two nights here to celebrate with my wife when we came here 10 years ago when dating. With no notification of being overbooked I went to check in, got to our room and it didn’t have a sleeper sofa for our 8 yo. Went back to the desk and they gave us a different room that had a sleeper sofa but no waterfront view. Back to the front desk. Was told they had overbooked and my room was not available. No other options available. The room smelled musty like it hadn’t been used in awhile, the windows were really dirty, and overall it was not the experience we had 10 years ago. The room faces the side parking lot and street so you could hear street racer tires and engines until past midnight. Probably will not go back.
Excellent 9,0
Pros: The view across the lake was great. The room was very comfortable. Under normal circumstances I would have used more of the facilities such as pools, smores, and breakfast.
Mediocre 2,0
Pros: The location
Cons: Toe nails in my bed hair in the shower

Excellent 8,0
Pros: It was an enjoyable stay. My bed was a bit too hard for me but no other issues. I loved my stay and will return.
Cons: Bed was too hard.
Okay 4,0
Cons: The breakfast was mediocre and our room smelled like bad wet dog even after getting cleaned the second night.
Excellent 8,0
Pros: Very good breakfast. Easy to find the motel.
Cons: An elevator would have been nice.
Excellent 10,0
Cons: nothing was clean, quite , staff friendly. maybe bathrooms were small.
Good 6,0
Pros: Easy to book a room on short notice.
Cons: Our room was missing the smoke detector. Beds were a little hard and air was dry.
Excellent 8,0
Pros: I liked the design and the location. Lots of restaurants nearby. Easy to get to downtown Duluth from hotel. Staff was friendly
Cons: Quilt had some stains on it. Was probably clean but it's kind of hard to sleep with something with a stain on it that did not come from yourself.
Okay 5,4
Pros: Convenient location.
Cons: Rooms really need updating. Carpet very worn. Rooms have slight odor.
Excellent 9,4
Cons: air conditioning wasn't as cold as preferred
Excellent 10,0
Pros: I had a power-snafu at my new apartment and rather than be stressed I just checked myself into a hotel until I could work it out. The only things I wanted were easy parking and the white duvet rather than the weird plasticy motel kind. This looks like a recently remodeled property. Very clean, reasonably quiet, good sized room. Very clean bathroom with good water pressure and hot water. I will absolutely be putting my parents up here when they come visit. The price (low) is only because you're not downtown. But you are right across from the big Duluth/Superior retail area so there are lots of restaurants.
Good 7,7
Pros: clean, nice people
Cons: For some reason staff had to open the room doors for guests because something wasn't working. Kind of a hassle.
Good 6,5
Pros: good selection at breakfast
Cons: thin walls and door, tiny bathroom, hard bed
Excellent 8,0
Pros: I enjoyed this location offered a clean room with free Wi-Fi, ample closet space and free breakfast
Cons: No complaints for this location.
Good 7,7
Pros: Hotel was clean. Centrally located. Staff was accommodating Dog Friendly Plenty of room to walk a dog.
Cons: The rooms were very small. We didn't have much room at all to maneuver in the room. For the size of the room it was a bit expensive.
Excellent 8,0
Pros: The hotel room was small, but very clean and the bed was comfortable! The staff was friendly and there was a good continental breakfast. I was also able to use the computer and printer in the lobby. It was a welcoming atmosphere.

Excellent 8,0
Pros: Location and parking off street were excellent. The staff on the floors were wonderful! One gentleman inpaticular got us fresh towels, coffee and took our trash and actually asked if he could do anything else for us The girls working at desk, ( THEY WERE NOT HELPFUL AND A BIT RUDE) seemed to careless about our needs or questions about anything. Just pawned the questions off as if they were unimportant or they didn't have time at their empty uninhabited zone. Even asking them for fresh towels was like pulling teeth. After asking them a few questions over a few days I just gave up. I directed everything I needed to staff I saw in the halls. Those folks were AMAZING.
Cons: For the cost, things could have been cleaner. Edges, behind bathroom door and bathroom floor. Other people's hair Grosse me out in a "supposed clean room" I would have also liked towels and regular coffee refreshed daily. Since there wasn't any cleaning due to covid, but we're still paying the price... that's the least that could be done. No trash taken out either. Just a lot of money for what we got. Stayed at better for less. Would have been nice to know in advance that restaurant wasn't open.
Excellent 8,0
Pros: Loved having the parking ramp! Easy to get to canal park.
Cons: Expensive for the quality.
Excellent 9,0
Pros: Staff was friendly, Room was nice and clean, beds were comfortable .
Cons: Not much for breakfast options no free continental breakfast if booking with booking.com you will not receive free breakfast. Restaurant is closed till June and the Cafe only has a few select things.
Okay 5,0
Pros: First, the staff were wonderful and it’s at a very convenient location. The workout facilities were great, my 2 oldest used it and they liked it a lot. Also, I loved the brand of soaps they used there. But they should have made sure they were filled up before guests come, as the conditioner ran out. The beds were very comfortable as were the pillows. That was very nice!
Cons: However, the cleanliness was not up to par. The bed sheets on one of the beds had hair on it not from us, second the bedding on the pull out sofa was still on from previous guests!! But they did bring us new sheets and a light knitted blanket. The pools were over crowded. There wasn’t much for breakfast in the morning but there are a lot of places to go out to eat.
Excellent 8,5
Pros: The room was nice and clean. Staff were friendly and accommodating. You are able to take the sky way over to Canal Park, just a nice 10 min walk. The view of the lake, ships and bridges was excellent.
Cons: There were 2 pools which was nice, but lots of kids, just glad I didn't get a pool side room, very loud. The on-site restaraunt was closed for remodeling, but we did walk to Sammy's Pizza just a block away. Excellent old school pizzas.
Good 6,8
Pros: Room well equipped. Friendly efficient staff
Cons: Physical layout and location of hotel
Excellent 8,8
Pros: Staff was very friendly
Cons: My window leaked a lot of cold air so I had to pull the shade to the room warm
Excellent 10,0
Pros: good value - lots of amenities and close to everything.
Excellent 9,4
Pros: It's proximity to great attractions and sight seeing.
Good 6,8
Cons: Our room overlooked the atrium pool. During pool hours (almost ALL our time there), so unable to take a nap at 4:00 after hawk watching. And until the pool closed at 10:30, VERY noisy. I would stay here again ONLY if could get an interior room away from the pool.
Good 6,5
Pros: Location. Front desk guy on a Friday around 3pm. We got a hall room, the pool area rooms are probably really loud.
Cons: Housekeeping knocking on doors loudly in the early morning. Lots of young teenage boys. Elevators.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Very nice & well managed hotel. Close to everything, and quite comfortable. I can see where if you had a room by a pool it might be too noisy. We did not, we had a room with an amazing view of the harbor and we had a lovely and very relaxing time. Would recommend and we will come again.
Excellent 8,0
Pros: Overall it is a good hotel. Clean, room was clean and smelled good. Good area for walking to bars/restaurants, getting to the pier, etc and not far from the highway. Front desk person was nice and even suggested a few spots for hiking for us.
Cons: We stayed on a level that had a pool and it was pretty loud. They have two pools I believe and they take up the exact center of the floor and have rooms surrounding the pool with maybe 10 feet of space on each site. We could hear conversations going on at the pool from our room with the TV on, so definitely ask for a room not on a pool level if you want a little more quiet setting. Overall a good hotel though.
Excellent 8,0
Pros: Clean, friendly staff, lots of amenities, nice rooms. Pool was loud until close and then it was nice and quiet. Great place. Will stay again!
Cons: Nothing
Excellent 8,5
Pros: The room is clean.
Cons: The fridge is too nosie.
Excellent 8,8
Pros: The location is great, close to Canal Park and the Duluth sights that most tourists want to see. We've been staying here on family vacations for many years and this hotel just feels comfortable, like a favorite pair of Levis.
Good 7,4
Pros: Staff very friendly. Hotel is clean. Nice reception for the runners.
Cons: They jacked the rates up for the marathon. Over $300 per night? In Duluth? Really. It's a Holiday Inn. Our floor was the 10th. Lots of noise echoing through the halls until about 10:30 when the pool closed. No doorways on the hall to block noises from the pool area.
Good 7,7
Pros: Location was good for doing things in downtown Duluth. Staff was friendly, room was clean, if on the small side.
Cons: Room was too close to the 8th floor pool. Good luck taking a nap or sleeping anytime between 6am and 10:30pm.

Excellent 9,0
Pros: More than I expected when we got to the room
Cons: We stayed two night and it would have been nice to have housekeeping at least come empty the garbages.
Okay 4,0
Pros: Location on the canal
Cons: Outdated facility, many things broken. Said we had a free drink, but couldn’t. Dark and gloomy with no windows. Boardwalk area closed for construction.
Okay 5,0
Cons: Lights in bath were poor!
Excellent 8,0
Pros: Very spacious suite
Cons: Furnishing a bit dated but functional
Good 6,0
Pros: Location for what we were doing was good. Short drive or walk to anything on our list.
Cons: Room had no window. It was never stated as an interior room or stated no window. There was a lot of noise up and down the hallway at all hours of the night and early morning. Hard to control the temperature of the room.
Okay 5,0
Pros: The room was very large, spacious, cozy ambient lighting, felt clean, and overall was a comfortable space with a full kitchen.
Cons: For the price, I really wish the room we had would have had windows. We were in a middle unit and it felt rather claustrophobic despite the size of the room. Very easily could have found a cheaper hotel that would have been just as comfortable and clean that also had windows. For it being in such a great location I felt kinda cheated out of not being able to see any of it at. Another strange thing about the room is that the entrance doors didnt fully touch the ground so at 2 am we were awaken by guest talking in the hall for about 15 min. Then awoken at 6am by the alarm clock in the room next to us that no one was even occupying. Overall just kinda a strange room for a not entirely decent price.
Good 7,0
Cons: the pillows were too soft, the breakfast was under par for being a bagged breakfast but it is what it is for covid...the fact that we're Minnesotans and had to pay a tourist tax, 30 dollars was a big pricy in my opinion!
Excellent 9,1
Pros: The central location and historic building.
Cons: Maybe better soundproofing. Hard to blame hotel for noisy neighbors or puppy accidents.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: The interior room was very spacious and included a kitchenette with a full sized refrigerator. The only time I missed having a window was waking up in the morning to darkness. Other than that, I never thought about it. The range hood fan was perfect for some white noise while sleeping. The room felt very private, and the location was ideal. Also included free parking.
Mediocre 3,7
Pros: The bed was comfortable
Cons: The staff were rude. The hotel is dated and dingy. It's inconvenient in regards to parking not only the location of the lots but the fact you have to place a parking slip on your dash and provide the hotel with your license plate and car info. A little redundant to save time for their staff not their customers. The staff was lazy and entitled especially the day manager. Hotel is very dark and features colors such as hunter green. It has an odor and generally is not clean and overpriced. But the worst part is the staff.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Always quality. Very comfortable.
Cons: No meat w breakfast. Timberlodge was closed for the season.
Okay 5,1
Pros: The convenience of Canal Park the hotel is close to everything.
Cons: Since the Hotel was remodeled from a warehouse all interior suites are high ceiling dungeons. The rooms had the decorating touch of some of the former warehouse workers who then sold there household furniture to add to the ambience. The exterior of the building was only missing the touch of a couple of drunks by the front door. To be fair it was twenty below wind-chill that day. So in the fall they are probably there. The walk across a busy street with luggage did add to my excitement while I stayed there. Oh I almost forgot the breakfast seemed like it was sent over from a near by restaurant there yesterday left overs.
Excellent 9,6
Pros: Great staff; Location superb - closest hotel to Convention Center. I loved the warehouse-reftrofit character of my room. I could even open my window to hear the sounds of the harbor. Loved the place.
Cons: Cleaning supplies left a "minty-grapefruit-petro" smell that was noticeable upon arrival.
Excellent 8,3
Pros: the price compared to every other property on the canal.
Cons: The coffee was Luthern Church weak, I could see the bottom of the cup. It was a little weird having a room with no windows, but ok since hardly ever in the room. The layout was a bit odd, couldn't watch TV from bed, or couch for that matter. Toilet was incredibly short, low to the ground.

Good 6,0
Pros: location and easy access to where I was going. Restaurant options.
Cons: Parking lot in back is pretty rough. The cold breakfast due to Covid was disappointing as many, many places are serving hot food.
Good 7,0
Pros: Excellent staff and the rooms were very clean.
Cons: Breakfast didn't have much variety, hot tub was cold the second and third night, my card keys had to keep getting reprogrammed because they stopped working.
Poor 1,0
Cons: Got there Friday around 4pm room was dirty. Dog hair on both beds blankets. No towels in the bathroom, Room wasn't vacuum. Dusty everywhere. Will never recommend it. Awful smell
Poor 1,0
Pros: There was nothing about this room or hotel I liked. I was completely ripped off and this location should be condemned. I survived 2 nights there but now I'm just concerned about Bed Bugs. I can't believe this place was $100 a night. I would have been better off and safer in a tent on skid row.
Cons: The room smelled like a dirty dog and they tried to cover it up with air fresheners, it gave me a head ache and it still stunk. Everything in the room was sticky from syrup or something. Stains on the bedding. I had to use a tool to turn the shower on. I could hear every conversation in the hotel and every time a door was shut from another room all the wall shook. The doors to the outside were broken and didn't lock. Plenty of shady characters hanging around and drinking in the parking lot. I only got a few hours of sleep on Saturday night "with ear plugs" because of people coming and going and fighting in the hallways. I still can't get over the smell!!!!!
Mediocre 2,0
Cons: My “non-smoking” room smelled like an ashtray to the point that I needed to request a different room the third night. They tried to tell me it was just because someone had recently smoked in the room, however, there were cigarette burns all over the bedside table and bathtub so it was obviously an ongoing thing. The lock had been removed from one of the outside doors so anyone, guest or not, could come and go from the hotel. There was no way to lock the main floor window so anyone could have entered my room from the outside. The parking lot was in horrible shape, I needed to walk through mud to get to the office and the part of the parking lot that was paved was full of big, deep potholes.
Good 7,0
Cons: The parking lot need improvements. There is so many pot holes that can damage peoples cars .
Poor 1,0
Pros: The location was good
Cons: I booked this room based on the reviews. It was just an awful place. It was filthy and it smelled like smoke. We brought our things in and then we decided against staying because it stinks so bad. More than $100 for a terrible place
Okay 5,0
Pros: Staff were very friendly
Cons: There is no paved parking lot or paved road to get to hotel. Tub stopper did not work.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: No frills here. Clean, comfortable, very friendly staff and a nice complimentary breakfast spread. The only negative I can think of is the chlorine level in the pool. My eyes were burning after about 10 minutes of sitting on the ledge.
Excellent 8,2
Pros: Clean, updated inside and great staff. Outside doesn't match inside, but much better inside
Cons: Parking lot and lawn are extremely poor
Good 7,1
Pros: Close to mall and shopping. Pool and hot tub was good.good breakfast I the AM
Cons: Need a upgrade, starting to look as if it needs some work. It needs some brighting up
Good 6,0
Pros: Value pricedwe found room clean and good. Overall feeling is cramped in halls and common areas. Hard to get to if you don't know where you are headed.

Excellent 8,0
Pros: Great location. Close to Downtown and canal park!
Poor 1,0
Cons: It was dirty and literally flooding
Excellent 10,0
Pros: I loved the location, I did pay more to get the Harbor View. It was fun to sit and watch the boats, come in and out.
Cons: The restaurants, were only on limited bases. I'm sure it was because of Covid.
Good 7,0
Pros: Didn’t take advantage of breakfast
Cons: No social distancing snd mask mandate
Excellent 8,0
Pros: The beds were really comfortable
Cons: The hours that the restaurant was open it would be nice if they were opened earlier for breakfast
Good 7,0
Pros: The room was good. The location was good.
Cons: The pool and hot tub should have been open
Excellent 8,0
Cons: I was sad to see how cut back the menu was for JJ Astor. That was one specific reason we chose to come back to this hotel.
Good 6,0
Pros: Proximity to canal park and downtown. Our view was good.
Cons: Needs a major facelift and cleaning! Our room smelled of smoke. The restaurant upstairs is really lacking and old. Needs new chef and cocktail selection. Was a let down and overpriced.
Excellent 9,7
Pros: We are on a long distance motorcycle ride and staff was very accommodating on parking.
Cons: All good
Okay 4,2
Pros: Location was amazing
Cons: Large pot holes in the parking lot, I fell the 1st day before we got to the room. Really hurt my back so my weekend was limited on activities. There was something on the door handle that stuck to my hand. The floor seems like it wasn’t vacuumed in a long time (I wore shoes around my room because of it). There was also Paton peeling on the floor. Sunday morning we went to have breakfast in the restaurant, but weren’t told we need reservations. The restaurant staff didn’t offer to make us a reservation. The view was the best part. However I wouldn’t stay here again.
Excellent 9,4
Pros: Close to downtown. Walking distance to Bentleyville and great shopping and food. Staff was extremely friendly.
Cons: Bed was a little hard, elevator was a nightmare during busy times.
Good 6,8
Pros: Location
Cons: Check in wasn’t ready, over flow parking, no free breakfast
Excellent 10,0
Pros: everything
Cons: hotel carpeting in good conditiin only was outdated but under the impression that it was all being updated-this is an older hotel with everything for a comfortable stay as it should be wow the most comfortable beds pillows comforters-I called the following week gather the info and purchased the mattress and the bed pillows for my home
Excellent 8,0
Pros: comfortable bed location
Cons: elevator had long wait because one was down for service
Okay 4,2
Pros: The room was clean for the age of the facilities.
Cons: The staff were not friendly or even pleasant. The fact that there was not a breakfast, for $100 a night I'd say thats a rip off.
Excellent 8,2
Pros: Nice view. (from our room) wasn't as great for another couple we met. But they had a dog. Coffee in morning
Cons: No cheap breakfast. Staff interaction was not bad. Just not fantastic either. 3/5.
Mediocre 3,7
Pros: Location was decent in terms of each part of the city. Com for table bed... that's about it.
Cons: Elevator was still rising with the door open. Wallpaper was peeling off all over the bathroom. No breakfast included. Bathtub faucet sprayed water everywhere when on shower mode. Room design was awful, you have to cross the toilet right in front of the bathroom door to get to the sink and tub. The hot tub was missing over 50 percent of the water so the jets were spraying everyone in the face. Small parking lot so we had to park across the street at a rundown bowling alley. Curtains let in a lot of light. Venting system would never shut off even on auto fan so room got dry over night. For how much this cost this was embarrassing. Will not be going back.
Good 6,5
Pros: I loved how close it was to downtown shops and event areas so I could walk everywhere and I don't have to worry about parking or driving. The room was small but cozy. I had a special deal throigh Kayak so that's why I chose this hotel and I had a pleasent time for my stay.
Cons: Needed a little cleaning in icemachine and vending areas. Also the elevators where a bit rikity for being a hotel with rooms on the 10th floor. But the biggest annoyance for my visit was the staff. When I went to check in the girl obviously didn't understand that I had already purchased my room and was going to charge me for a whole other booking. So a tip would be to double check that the receptionist follows what you're telling them and not making you pay extra for your room.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Thank you, Kayak for a great deal.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Restaurant options, indoor pool, and wonderful room with great features and complimentary items.
Mediocre 3,7
Cons: Room was very weird, windows and closet very dirty.
Excellent 8,5
Pros: Staff was good, great view from room, revolving restaurant was great
Cons: Building a little dated, but still a great place
Okay 5,7
Pros: Manger was helpfull and very nice
Cons: A/C had a tough time keeping up
Good 7,7
Pros: The hotel was nice overall. Our room was clean and put together well, the restaurant was cool with the overlooking views, and the hot tub/pool was relaxing.
Cons: We booked and paid for a "tower with lake view" room, but our room was given to someone else and we ended up with a city view, which was a huge disappointment.
Good 6,8
Pros: The location was nice/convenient. The bar/restaurant on the top floor is such a diamond in the ruff. What a spectacular view.
Cons: However, I think you are missing the boat on what the bar on top could be. We went up to enjoy the view and a cocktail or two. We sat up there for two hours while we waited for the rest of our party. We were only waited on once. Five of us sat there with empty cocktail glasses and could not get the young man to even look at us. We had menus in our hand and would have love to order a few appetizers. It didn't happen. And the black metal railing the separates the windows from the rotation is terribly dirty. Rooms in need of updating. Hallways are dirty.
Excellent 8,5
Pros: Very clean and nice rooms.
Cons: Sleep number bed, but the control to adjust the bed didn't work.
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Spent the night and everything was as you would expect. The staff was helpful and the room was clean.
Good 6,0
Pros: Nice sheets and bedding.
Cons: Yikes, well, if I would have paid 1/2 of the price that I did (yes, it was Valentine's weekend, it was more than normal), I would have felt somewhat okay about it. Unfortunately, it makes me not want to stay in any Radisson again. It's a pretty run-down hotel. I think we should have stayed at the Motel 6.
Okay 4,0
Cons: there select comfort kings size bed went flat on one side an control would not work went flat on one side at 3 .oo in the morning so had to sleep on one side only would not recommend staying there to avoid any select comfort bed in there room
Good 6,2
Pros: Location. Close to canal park and downtown.
Cons: Parking. Was forced to park a block away with children because parking was full for a wedding.
Okay 4,5
Pros: The bed was comfy
Cons: Location didn't seem like the nicest neighborhood had to walk 4-5 blocks before the neighborhood changed to a more welcoming area. Outdated hotel. Stay north of lake ave if you can.
Okay 5,1
Cons: The sleep number bed did not work, bed was very uncomfortable. Reported the bed not working, it did not get fixed. A lamp was broken, that got fixed. One morning the towels were not replaced. A box of facial tissue was empty for 3 days and never got replaced. Was not given a refund or discount for our stay due to booking through Kayak. Very disappointing. The JJ Astor restaurant is very expensive and the food wasn't that good. We had a better meal at the Timberlodge Steakhouse for half the price.
Okay 4,0
Pros: They ran out of pillows and were understaffed.
Cons: Bad service tiny room
Good 7,0
Pros: Location and views were excellent. Beds were comfortable.
Cons: Only two elevators-VERYlong waits. Poor acoustic separation. Carpet heavily stained. Restaurants not family oriented at all
Mediocre 3,6
Pros: The location
Cons: It took over an hour from checking in to actually be given the correct room and amenities we paid for. It was next to impossible to find a parking spot. The sheets were dingy and torn. The sleep number beds leaked air and felt like a bad water bed. We called and asked for extra bath towels but none came, half an hour later ended up getting dressed still wet from the shower. Thank god we were playing In a Hockey tournament all weekend and didn't have to spend more time in the hotel.
Good 7,0
Pros: i liked the location and the JJ Astor Restaurant. i also enjoyed the view from the room
Cons: everything about the hotel is just OK. there is nothing special and everything seemed to be a bit outdated. Everything from the elevator, to the sleep number beds (ours was broken). Just OK.
Okay 5,0
Pros: It was relativly close to the area we needed to be.
Cons: Total lack of communication from staff. There is not enough parking for all guests, but nobody is told about how to use the over flow parking. We booked the hotel because of the convienance to the DECC via the skyway. No one told us the skyway wouldn't be open early enough for us to use it. There are two on site restaurants, one is a very expensive and upscale. Fine if you have a business meeting or special night. Not so great if you just want an easy meal. The other is a bar with very limited apps. We have an event every winter in Duluth and I will never choose this hotel again.

Okay 4,0
Cons: Cold had to keep the heat on constantly
Okay 5,0
Pros: Downtown location
Cons: Very cold . Had to keep the heat run cobst to stay warm
Poor 1,0
Pros: The beds were very comfortable we love the revolving restaurant upstairs. We have been coming to this Radisson for many years. And will continue to come back.
Cons: We had a problem with the toilet not flushing, maintenance had to come to our room twice. We also had dirty sheets and stained comforter.
Okay 5,0
Cons: The room smelled like ciggerate smoke. I am allergic to ciggerate smoke and have had an awful migraine my entire stay.. My room was smoke free.
Excellent 8,5
Pros: Clean, comfy bed, good breakfast
Cons: Loud traffic, paper thin walls
Mediocre 2,8
Cons: There were stains on the beds, we tried 2 different rooms. The odor in the room also, not sure what it was, but did not smell clean. Would not recommend. They were nice enough to refund our money and we found another place to stay that was clean.
Good 6,0
Pros: Staff identified my reservation and confirmed my accommodations on the phone prior to checking in, but we didn't get what we had reserved when we checked in. The management did knock off $20.00 on the bill.
Cons: Staff changed our accommodations from 2 double beds to one double bed. The room was very small, near the exit door where you can hear the slamming of the door, tv remote didn't work and the street traffic could interrupt sleep. Room 123.
Mediocre 2,5
Pros: The coffee
Cons: The room was small bed was small and uncomfortable garbage still had used hygiene products in it the tv remote didn't work and the door outside our room was not functioning properly and rattled the room when people used it
Mediocre 3,4
Pros: Close to hwy 35 and canal park
Cons: Parking really was not great winter will be really really bad. There were hairs in the tub . No mini fridge. The price was 162.00 not even close to worth the money. And so much police activity
Good 7,7
Pros: I reserved 5 rooms for our group. When we arrived they only had 1 room reserved for us. Fortunately I had the confirmation for the 5 rooms, and they had 4 vacant rooms so could accommodate us. The office person said that when I reserved them it should have automatically updated in their computer. This caused some tense moments but it was resolved. The rooms were fine, and it was good location, with a good restaurant nearby.
Okay 4,5
Cons: We were across the parking lot from the office/check in desk, and the wi fi didn't reach our room. The parking lot, like much of Duluth, is on a huge slant, and if we would have brought our Harley, we wouldn't have been able to park in their lot. The room seemed clean enough, but very VERY old and the bed skirt on the bed was ripped noticeably. We walked to dinner, and as we were walking back to the hotel, nearing sunset, we didn't necessarily feel safe doing so. This is a dark and dingy hotel that charges too much. If we hadn't been coming into town at 6pm and had more time to look for other lodging, we would have passed this place by in a minute. Keep looking is our best advice.
Good 6,0
Pros: This motel is located downtown and walking distance to canal park and the DECC, our purpose for the stay. It is dated but included wifi and breakfast. With that said our Wifi didn't work as they were recovering from a big storm the night prior. They ran out of milk (!) at breakfast and simply put up a sign saying so. The toast I defaulted to smelled sour in toaster and when I went to butter it, saw that it was mouldy. Because of the events in town we paid at least $100 more than what it is worth. The staff was friendly though, especially the young woman who set me up in the office so I could print our show tickets when their internet was down.
Cons: We paid a lot for a very basic and old hotel that didn't meet breakfast or Internet/wifi expectations.
Good 7,7
Pros: Good location, rooms were clean
Excellent 8,0
Pros: Room had a musty odor but hotel is in downtown area
Excellent 8,2
Pros: Very clean and comfortable. Within blocks to the shore.
Cons: It's really not a Best Western. Price was high, front desk clerk not very friendly.
Excellent 8,0
Pros: Good location. Went there for some conferences at DECC. Walked to the conference center and back. The day of checkout I discovered my car battery was dead. Gentleman at the front allowed me to leave my car in the lot until I was done at the conference and come back to deal with it. Breakfast was good. Doughnuts, cereal, muffins, toast, Jimmy Dean sandwiches and a variety of beverages. Room seemed clean overall. Would have liked a list of all the channels so I could find something to watch without having to flip through every single channel very slowly.
Cons: Room was a little chilly when I came in so I turned on the heat. After the heater was on for a bit it warmed up very nice.
Excellent 8,2
Pros: great price and location
Cons: poor ventilation in the rooms, no fridge, walls were dirty
Excellent 8,8
Pros: The gentlemen at check in was super nice and made sure to tell us everything we needed to know for an enjoyable stay.
Cons: There were a few outlets in the room that did not want to work. Wasn't a huge problem just made charging 4 phonesba little trickier. Other than that, very pleased with our stay.
Excellent 9,1
Pros: Very helpful front staff.
Cons: No breakfast sandwiches available
Excellent 8,5
Pros: Great location! Easy access to all of the landmarks we visited. We could walk to Canal Park! Comfortable, clean beds and friendly staff. Nothing flashy, just cozy.
Cons: The bathroom was tiny, particularly the shower stall, and had a faint mildewy smell. We were woken up at 8:30 am by a loud knock on the door and "Housekeeping...!"
Okay 5,7
Pros: Location was good. Front desk guy was very friendly and accommodating.
Cons: The stair carpet was loose on several risers, causing a big safety hazard. We both tripped more than once. The breakfast food was not fresh. The coffee maker in the room had mold in it from sitting with old coffee in it too long. The room had a strong odor of old cigarette smoke. There was no hair Conditioner offered, just shampoo. There was someone vacuuming at 6 am in the hallway. We could hear the conversation of the people in the next room, so the walls must be pretty thin. The room rate was way too high for the lack of quality in the facility.
Excellent 8,8
Pros: Great value and so convenient for business in DECC during winter - block-and-a-half to entrance to indoor, climate-controlled Skywalk all the way into DECC.
Excellent 8,2
Pros: The room was very clean, staff was friendly and polite. Room stay includes a free breakfast. Facility also has free wifi. The room was small but furnishings were appropriate and well-maintained. I was pleased with the value for money. The location is perfect for downtown Duluth events and there is an extra parking lot above the hotel in case everyone double parks at night like they did during our stay.
Cons: The bed was extremely hard, making it difficult for us to sleep. Also, even with the heater on 75 and running all night, there were few blankets and we both woke up cold several times. It did promote cuddling, which could be romantic if I really didn't just want a good night's sleep. I'd bring my own pillow and extra blanket next time.
Good 6,0
Pros: Great location in the city, decent price
Cons: old place
Okay 4,3
Pros: Got the room for a good pricd.
Cons: Downtown. Parking lot was at a angle, pain for parking motorcycle. Door hung up, had to slam and check that it latched. Room had a musty smell. Got used to it fairly quick but every time I left and returned to the room could smell it. Not recommend.

Poor 1,0
Pros: It was fairly clean, NO REMOTE for the TV....
Cons: People in a car right outside my window, SHOOTING UP HEROIN at 4pm
Okay 5,0
Pros: ample lighting
Cons: They tried to raise the price of the room up $8.00 for some reason, after you gave an over priced quote of $80.17 this place is a run down motel, that needs a major renovation.
Good 7,0
Cons: Check out time was stated differently in the email.
Poor 1,0
Pros: It was close to the downtown area, so that was nice! And it was the only place left so we didn’t have a choice in other options under $300 a night.
Cons: We couldn’t check in until “after dinner” because the room “wasn’t ready” and when asked when it would be ready we were just told “after dinner” again with no time frame. When we finally got into our room after 8pm it was dirty and there was someone else’s business left in the toilet from whenever and stuff on the walls and floors so we were confused as to why we had waited for our room to “get ready”. There were people being loud all night inside and outside the hotel which is whatever because we can sleep through anything but beware if you’re a light sleeper! Never again will we stay at a motel 6 and we should have taken it as a sign from the gentleman in front of us at check in trying to cancel his reservation and getting nowhere but told to contact his online contact to cancel the reservation...
Okay 5,0
Pros: Price and my dog staying for free.
Cons: Honestly, you get what you pay for. I knew this wasn't going to be the ritz and just a place to crash. The neighbourhood was crappy, people were loud in the hallway all night and the place was in a bad area. I would never bring my child but it served its purpose with me
Okay 4,0
Cons: Hallways and elevators smelled srongly of cigarette smoke. I will never stay there again.
Mediocre 3,7
Cons: There were roaches and it was dirty. yuck
Good 7,4
Pros: The rooms were fancy and nice and clean and good. Location was perfect for us.
Cons: The staff was a bit questionable.
Excellent 8,2
Pros: The front desk staff was great. The room was just ok. Hardwood floors and very echo-y. Hard to be quiet with kids. Beds were uncomfortable. One bed had cigarette burns in the bedspread. Overall acceptable for the price.
Excellent 8,8
Pros: Was clean, the parking lot was under construction so parking is very limited. Staff was very friendly and the rooms are average.
Cons: Parking
Good 6,0
Cons: I didn't like the fact that there little furniture in the room. At least there should a couch or 2 comfortable chairs.
Good 6,8
Pros: The front desk staff was great! Very friendly and helpful. The room was newly remodeled and cleab.
Cons: The bed left a lot to be desired. It was very uncomfortable and you could feel the springs.
Okay 4,0
Pros: It's not terribly out of the way. The staff is nice and helpful and happy. The room looked newly remodeled.
Cons: The whole floor, but especially my room, stank strongly of stale cigarettes, despite the fact that everything was labeled no smoking. The room was cold during the day, and freezing at night. I couldn't find a heating vent anywhere in the room, which probably explains why. This would be fine if the blankets were thick, but each of the blankets are about the thickness of a plain sheet, and about as warm, too. I had to get up and get bundled up in clothing and get back underneath the covers just so that I could get a good night's sleep. And because everything in the room is extremely hard (concrete-like "wood" flooring, walls with very rugged washable paint, etc) any sounds from the hallway reverberate throughout your room quite loudly. I would pay more money just to not stay here my next time in Duluth.
Mediocre 3,1
Pros: Hotel failed to service our room both days after being asked to handle it.
Excellent 8,0
Pros: The room had the faint smell of new paint. The bed was in excellent condition and the overall cleanliness was a welcome change.
Cons: The only thing I didn't care for was the rather loud 2am conversation outside me window from the parking lot.
Mediocre 2,5
Pros: uncomfortable beds--i woke up in pain and stiff. also there were pipes running along the floor, and the place smelled like cigarettes. no tissue or body wash. very unhappy with our stay!
Okay 4,0
Pros: Easy parking & to find. Wasn't too noisy.
Cons: TOO bare bones....no coffee pot, no shampoo/conditioner, no KLEENEX. had flooring-not carpeting. Even for a weekend night, price jacked up too high for what you got. Lucky we only wanted it to have a place too sleep...
Excellent 10,0
Pros: Everything was great! Stayed in a newly remodeled first floor room. No carpeting in the room which we appreciated.
Excellent 8,0
Pros: I enjoyed having my dogs travel with me. Duluth Grill shares parking lot, perfect. Fair price.
Mediocre 2,5
Cons: The room and hallways smelled very badly!f Very unclean hotel!
Mediocre 2,0
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Didn't even stay, the lobby smelled like pee, and we simply left before checking in and cancelled. Gross.
Good 7,1
Pros: Friendly Staff. Clean rooms. Cheap room.
Cons: The mattress was very uncomfortable.
Mediocre 3,0
Pros: Not much
Cons: Despite the offering of TV and Wifi as touted within the hotel description, the TV was inoperable and the cable connected appeared to be frayed and a possible hazard. The front desk offered me free wifi to accommodate this inconvenience however the code given did not work. There wasn't much staff working to help facilitate a solution to any issues and was continually asked to "hike" back to the front desk for what? Also this motel does not have a line to reach the front desk- no way to communicate. What if I didn't have a cellphone? All in all I find the hotel to be lousy and noises especially in the morning with the housekeeping eager to start their work without regard for a tired traveler. I found it an inconvenience that the TV situation didn't work and outside communications especially for basic email access through wifi was hindered as I'm sure emails were unaccessible at a time frame I wanted to figure the stupid wifi issue. The lady at the front desk was helpful but I had the distinct feeling these were common issues as she described other motel guests had approached her for help. Don't expect this place to have carpet. The appearance wasnt up to par but would have understood if a simple sign could've said there was a renovation going on- I assumed so otherwise the Motel 6 could've also been in a permanent state of ugliness. I'll reconsider this exit or stay there ever again
