Pros: The staff was great, specially Davide. He was always ready with a smile, and was quick to offer recommendations - and they were good places to eat. He really listens to you - and remembers your request - and follows up on it! Breakfast was great! They have hot - and cold - and the staff was quick to refill. The hotel was easy to get to from the train station because there is a covered escalator/travelator, that you can access from the mall across the train station, up to the town! All the main sights are within walking distance. And if you decide to make Sienna as your base to explore other nearby towns, the trains and buses are convenient.

Pros: The staff was very helpful, all of them. They did their best to solve all our problems and gave us detailed information about sightseeing itineraries, transport etc. The room was very clean and pleasant with a good view. The bed was comfortable. My husband got cold and the staff let us have hot tea every night without charging extra. The room and bathroom were very warm. Location is very good, close to the old city and the railway station. Brekfasts were very good.

Pros: We loved the hotel for its decor, location, good size bathroom, friendly staff, breakfast choices, off street secure parking (at a cost of €10 per night) and our room had a balcony with table and chairs, so a bonus (weather permitting). Our room also had a kettle so we were able to make a cuppa. The hotel with breakfast option was good value for money and we would stay here again and would definitely recommend this hotel. There are obviously hotels closer but the walk into the centre was approx 15 - 20 minutes at a leisurely, comfortable pace so no issues. You should not be disappointed with the Hotel Italia.

Pros: The price and great reviews attracted us to Hotel Italia, but the accommodations, service, and breakfast have us planning our next trip!!! The dining recommendation was a hit! The beds were comfortable and the quadruple room was perfect for our family. Breakfast was delicious and so many wonderful choices. The coffee and tea were a hit!

Pros: I was stranded for the night and booked my room right before showing up at the hotel. It had been a hell of a day of travel with me finding out that I couldn't get out of the town til the next morning. The concierge was extraordinary! I apologize that I forget her name. I think it was Cecilia. She took interest in the crazy day that I had and investigated, found out where I was supposed to be going (no one that I asked knew the town that I was supposed to be heading to for a wedding) and called my room shortly after I checked in. She found out where the town was, how far away it was and offered to book a cab (it was very far away). That doesn't even include the view, breakfast, lounge, etc. Great place and even better experience!

Pros: Location was great, even though it wasnt how I expected. The hotel is nice, very colonial vibe to it. Staff very kind and the room was huge.
Cons: I knew it was a colonial type hotel, and I know the offer was a time travel experience, but I believe it was not for me. A lot of insects in our room, very old furniture, not the way I imagined. Breakfast was also disappointing, I expected more diversity of food for what the hotel claims to offer (charge for scrambled eggs was offensive!!!!!!!!!!)

Pros: Excellent location, in the old city, two blocks from the dome and a 10 min walk to the Piazza del Campo. Other tourist attractions are at a walking distance. Near to many restaurants and lots of shops. Quiet rooms with en-suite bathroom. We had a beautiful view of parts of the cathedral. Friendly and helpful staff that speak English fluently. Good breakfast buffet. Wifi works well everywhere. Has an elevator so there is no need to climb the stairs with our luggage. It offers several alternatives to park the car, all at an additional cost. They got our permit to drive inside the limited traffic zone (old town) and so avoiding a fine for us. Prices are quite reasonable.

Pros: Views from our room were amazing
Cons: We thought this would be our splurge hotel on our European vacation, but this was one of the more run down places we visited. The decor is dated (unpainted wood furniture and trim) and the shower was just a shower head on the bathroom wall with a shower curtain wrapped around it. The water from the shower got all over the bathroom floor making using the sink or toilet a messy adventure. We were quite disappointed with the overall value of this hotel.. although the location makes up for some of it.

Pros: Location and facilities were great. It is located right at the heart of the historical center. Communication was easy and satisfactory previous to arrival.
Cons: As we were gonna check out before breakfast time started, the receptionist offered us a take way breakfast the night before. Even though we talked to him TWICE about the time we would need the breakfast bag ready to go, when we left, the next day, the other attending receptionist said there were no bags prepared and he didn't show the slightest will to make amendments, like getting us some fruit or something. He didn't even apologize. After I asked, he got us 8 small cookies.

Pros: Very good location. Large clean room. Friendly staff. Very good breakfast in charming room.
Cons: Room to n front a little noisy

Pros: Staff was young and skilled, breakfast complete and clean, room enough spacious and nice strong hot shower. The window is a double window so u can sleep with any car noise.
Cons: I was fine I'm an easy Traveller but I must say for the other customers that in my case the bed was not a real double but the single bed united just by the sheets so that makes u sleep on the single bed cause if u go at the center u will create a hole. Don't know in the other rooms. That is about just the room I had. About position I must say that it is true that is perfect if you travel with the car cause you are far enough from the center and parking is included but if you are with the bus or train I must say that from the station is not the best option cause you have to walk a couple km to the hot and then a couple to the center.

Pros: Friendly staff, clean spaces.
Cons: It was the first that it was cold in Siena and they were not prepares for it so the heating wasn’t working

Pros: The restaurant on the site was great with excellent quality and value for money menu. Many local people came to eat at this restaurant. There was a choice of genuine Italian cooking on the menu. The wine list was good with good range of Italian wines including excellent organic ones. The site shop was very well stocked and the advice from the owners and was helpful and friendly. Our limited knowledge of Italian and attempts to speak it were met with patience and good humour. It was simplicity itself to get into Siena from the site as there were bus tickets readily on sale at the site and the bus stop was just a short walk away.

Pros: The location is very good if you travel by car, there's a large parking area. Walking to the city center could be challenging, but I guess it can be done, it's better by car. The place is nice and quiet even if it's close to the highway. The terrace offers a breathtaking view of a typical Tuscany vineyard. Breakfast is OK, the staff friendly. Next time in Siena I will come back here for sure.

Pros: 1. A neat, clean and well run auberge with helpful, friendly staff. 2. We found the self-serve breakfast an excellent way to start the day. 3. Location was very good because it is right on the bus route into Siena (about 20 mins up to Piazza Gramsci) and has its own parking lot for the hire car you want to use for trips to the surrounding villages. 4. Shot is of the view from our window.

Pros: Good location, closed to the Siena city. Privat parking.
Cons: Very noisy environment. Unfortunately, during our stay, the roof was reconstructed. In front of our window was the machine and very noisy workers. I kindly asked the receptionist for an another room. The situation was a little better, but the noise was from 7am and spoil our whole holiday in very romantic Siena:-( Before our leaving I showed regret that the hotel didn't inform guests about the reconstruction in advance to give a chance book another hotel or offer a discount for discomfort. But the receptionist was very uncomfortable and I was reminded that they moved us to another room and what I want more. It was a big disappointment for us :-(

Cons: The room was spotlessly clean, but the fragrance inside was too strong, we kept the window opened for hours, but the strong perfume smell didn't go away. The shower cabin was clean but needs modernization.

Pros: The garden was nice. We did not have trouble to find parking, down the street there are a lot of spaces.
Cons: Accommodation is located outside of the city center. Room that we had was not good, it had a window with no view to outside. Bed was terrible, you can not sleep on that. Breakfast was minimal even for Italian standards. Toilet was leaking.

Pros: A nice restaurant just next door. Upon request, staff will reserve parking spaces that are free of charge.
Cons: To cater for the needs of people travelling light, it would be ideal if each room is given proper drinking glass or mugs, instead of very flimsy plastic cups.

Pros:
Cons: The room was wierd, 3 exterior walls with widows, and therefore it was very noisy. You could hear every single sound, every car passing. The area is very crowded. Besides, the room was extremely cold. The breakfast is poor, bad coffee. Worst booking ever. Do not recommend.

Pros: We were thrilled with this hotel, and found Guglia particularly helpful and friendly! It was the most comfortable hotel of our long week-end (four hotel nights in three places), and had a fabulous shower. The breakfast was wonderful, and the proximity to the Siena historical center was a dream (we did have a car, but I think we could also have walked). It had everything we wanted, including free in-room internet and a place to deposit our car. We would absolutely stay again and will recommend it.
