Cons: I probably didn't do enough reading prior to booking, but I hadn't realized that these rooms were located in an alley around the corner from the lobby, and there was no key or card restricting access to the small hallways with four or five hotel rooms opening out of them. Nobody seemed to have eyes on who was coming or going, and I didn't like that anyone could walk into the hallway off the street. For that reason alone, I'd choose a different hotel next time around. If they added keys to secure to the hallways, it'd be fine, but not having them is a big oversight. They should fix that.

Cons: We thought this would be our splurge hotel on our European vacation, but this was one of the more run down places we visited. The decor is dated (unpainted wood furniture and trim) and the shower was just a shower head on the bathroom wall with a shower curtain wrapped around it. The water from the shower got all over the bathroom floor making using the sink or toilet a messy adventure. We were quite disappointed with the overall value of this hotel.. although the location makes up for some of it.

It had been a hell of a day of travel with me finding out that I couldn't get out of the town til the next morning. The concierge was extraordinary! I apologize that I forget her name. I think it was Cecilia. She took interest in the crazy day that I had and investigated, found out where I was supposed to be going (no one that I asked knew the town that I was supposed to be heading to for a wedding) and called my room shortly after I checked in. She found out where the town was, how far away it was and offered to book a cab (it was very far away). That doesn't even include the view, breakfast, lounge, etc. Great place and even better experience!

Pros: This visit was my second stay at this beautiful hotel. The grounds are stunning. The hotel is small enough to have a relaxed family feel to it. It’s perfectky located, just above Siena out of the heat of the main town but with a bus stop literally at the gate of the property making it so easy to come and go from town. The staff could not be more accommodating or friendly. I’ll be back again next year. This hotel is my “happy place”.

Pros: Quite big hotel in the center of Siena , 20 minutes from the main train station. Personnel was nice and helpful. Twin room wasn't big, but nice and clean. Breakfast was very nice, big variety like for the Italian tradition :) If you want to eat excellent pizza, drink wine go to eat at "Pizzeria alle Scalette", great value for the money.

Cons: Everything was fine. If I wanted to be pernickety then it would have to be breakfast. There was no fresh fruit one morning and when I asked for some I was just told it was finished. Other hotels simply brought more out. There was also a poor selection of cereals compared to other hotels. A choice of only two. Plain cornflakes or muesli. No toppings which we got in other hotels.

Easy bus ride in the the center of Siena. The manager (male) was very helpful! He tried to help us rent bikes for ride through the area.

Cons: We arrived on a Sunday afternoon and were told everything would be closed in the area around the piazza. We found out the next day however, we could have visited a few places. That was the only disappointing part!

Cons: Didn't mind paying € 12 for the parking garage. But I did mind when, upon departure, my car was blocked by a car of a staff member, who had to be rounded up and didn't care to apologize. Guess what, I didn't care to say thank you. A bit sad, this had to be the last impression of an otherwise friendly staff.

Pros: We were pleasantly surprised with the fact that the parking was right in front of the hotel - and free! We were also very happy with the fact that we could easily walk to and from the sites (we thought that it would be further based on the map). The staff were friendly and so so helpful. The hair dryer in our room would not work on the morning of checkout and they came up to bring us another until they ensured it was working properly.

Pros: We were pleasantly surprised with the fact that the parking was right in front of the hotel - and free! We were also very happy with the fact that we could easily walk to and from the sites (we thought that it would be further based on the map). The staff were friendly and so so helpful. The hair dryer in our room would not work on the morning of checkout and they came up to bring us another until they ensured it was working properly.
Cons: We couldn't figure out how to turn up the AC, so we were really hot. The gym had no AC, and guests come in and out to take the water/fruit from the gym area - leaving nothing behind for the fitness fanatics. We skipped the breakfast because it was expensive.

Pros: If you want to visit Siena and you have a car with you, it is a very great choice to stay here. Reasonable prices. There were enough free space for parking, considering other options require charges. It is a little far away from the center but if you have the car it won't be at all a problem. Pros: We were thrilled with this hotel, and found Guglia particularly helpful and friendly! It was the most comfortable hotel of our long week-end (four hotel nights in three places), and had a fabulous shower. The breakfast was wonderful, and the proximity to the Siena historical center was a dream (we did have a car, but I think we could also have walked). It had everything we wanted, including free in-room internet and a place to deposit our car. We would absolutely stay again and will recommend it.

We also appreciated the pool located on site. Camping has very convenient localisation for exploring Tuscany by car. If you want to hit only Siena the localisation is exceptional with very good connetion to the town by public transport or even in walking distace to the center.

Cons: The bungalow has air conditioner but it is not included in total price and you need to pay an extra 6 euros per day for using it. The place is about 20 minutes from the train station on foot(which is not good at all,don't try it), if you don't have a car you must use the bus which is very frequent(every 20 mins)so you must pay an extra 3 euros for going to city center and coming back, The check in time is a little bit late ,they start to check in from 16 pm. And the last thing, inside the room there is no soap or shampoo or any kind of cleaning liquids. The bathroom is nice but has a flaw, when u open the hot water it changes frequently it is hot for 10 seconds and becomes cold for 10 seconds and it's kindof hard to manage it.

Pros: Great helpful staff with lots of suggestions. Very central location - 1min walk to Il Campo. Nice fan above the bed, best we had in 2 weeks in Italy!

Pros: Location, location, location. Room was spacious.
Cons: Beds were clean but the room itself was a bit dusty. The parking voucher they gave us at reception didn't work.

Pros: The very central position and historical modus of living. Very charming and not expensive! Really good for a short stay (bathroom and toiletts are in the corridor but very clean!) We recommend it! :)

Cons: No air conditioning, no screen on the windows, not close to train station, shared (but clean) bathroom, horrible WiFi.
