The breakfast was extensive. We were traveling with a car and chose the hotel because it had free parking and was within the town walls. Overall we were happy with the choice.

Cons: The receptionist lady linda was extremely blunt with us,and with other guests at several times....working in the same industry we found it shocking.... the noise also was disturbing on the corridor fairly early ...also we didnt like that we got billed for Bed & Breakfast,and we've been told that the breakfast wasn't included in the price.....so we never had it....

Cons: The hotel is a bit of a walk to the Duomo...we were traveling with my father who is handicapped (walks) but we were using a wheelchair. It was definitely possible to get to the main sites from the hotel but it was a bit of a chore...additionally, the south side of the city, where the hotel is located, is quite a bit quieter than the part north of the main piazza...I suppose this could be a good or bad thing depending on your perspective.

In light of that, found the room rate extraordinarily high - stupidly expensive breakfast not included, internet charged at an absurd rate, €45 per night for parking, no facilities and a relatively inexciting and small room definitely do not justify the rate.

The staff were helpful and nice; there was a play place for the kids, too bad it was raining and we couldn't utilize it. Breakfast was normal for Europe- breads, jams, coffee, juices. Pros: We were very impressed with the standard of the hotel, it is a lovely small hotel, the restaurant attached to it (whilst not owned by the hotel) was excellent, the location was great probably better if you have a car but to walk to the centre would take approximately 20/30 mins. Would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again.

Pros: We were very impressed with the standard of the hotel, it is a lovely small hotel, the restaurant attached to it (whilst not owned by the hotel) was excellent, the location was great probably better if you have a car but to walk to the centre would take approximately 20/30 mins. Would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again.

Pros: Views from our room were amazing
Cons: We thought this would be our splurge hotel on our European vacation, but this was one of the more run down places we visited. The decor is dated (unpainted wood furniture and trim) and the shower was just a shower head on the bathroom wall with a shower curtain wrapped around it. The water from the shower got all over the bathroom floor making using the sink or toilet a messy adventure. We were quite disappointed with the overall value of this hotel.. although the location makes up for some of it.

If a guest is saying they are going to walk to the Tour Office to rent a scooter, and that tour office is not walking distance, I would probably advise them. But no, it was a kind stranger on the street who did. Then I had to walk all the way to the train station to grab a taxi.

Pros: We were thrilled with this hotel, and found Guglia particularly helpful and friendly! It was the most comfortable hotel of our long week-end (four hotel nights in three places), and had a fabulous shower. The breakfast was wonderful, and the proximity to the Siena historical center was a dream (we did have a car, but I think we could also have walked). It had everything we wanted, including free in-room internet and a place to deposit our car. We would absolutely stay again and will recommend it.

Cons: in our first room we had a broken window. therefore we changed the room were found more than two dozens of bugs. when we came home after dinner in the whole floor it smelt strange - maybe from the house canalisation. it is quite noisy as the highway is just a few meters away.

Cons: I read somewhere that the hotel is located 800m from the railway station. It failed to mention that it's a 800m trek uphill and along roads with no pavement - not a good idea if you are dragging along your luggage.
