10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything. The hospitality, the tranquillity, the rooms, the relaxing terrace with the view of the Chianti Hills. The location just outside the city walls made it easy to get to Siena centre by walking or 5 minutes by bus.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was excellent- and there is a lovely terrace where you can have breakfast - weather permitting. Also perfect for a wine or two at any time- The location is quiet and serene, with a beautiful outlook - it reminded me of the film "A Room with a View". It is close enough to the main gate of the walled town, (10 minutes walk) and we enjoyed this - more than once a day! Giacomo gave us great recommendations for restaurants - and he went out of his way to get us to the train station on time when the taxi didn't show up!
7,0 Good
Pros: The location is nice looking to the hills. 10-15 minutes to center by walk. Not to mention its a safe place. Breakfast not bad. Good base if you are travelling in Tuscany. Reception is doing great work to welcome you.
Cons: Although the view from the room is amazing it looks outdated. Furnitures must be replaced. There were some flying bugs on the ceiling and walls. Consider there is no elevator in the property.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice view
Cons: It would be not so good for people who have difficulty climbing stairs
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Mr. Lorenzo at the reception was delightful and extremely helpful!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful boutique hotel. Renovated villa. Spectacular views of the valley
Cons: Website indicated breakfast included, however at check we were informed that there’s an extra charge for breakfast. We chose to go into town for coffee and croissants
10,0 Excellent
Pros: A lovely old property, and the view from the room was magnificent
Cons: Nothing
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The owners Jacamo and Lorenzo were so welcoming and helpful. They made our touring of Tuscany a highlight of our month long trip.
Cons: I didn't like the right corner of the gate facing out toward traffic and because of its historical designation it can't be modified. It took out my right rear door panel and undercarriage. Be advised: Pullout into the left hand on coming traffic when clear to avoid this mishap. Do NOT cut sharply left or right when making a turn. Pull straight out till you are clear of the gate.

Pros: The staff at the hotel are really welcoming and exceptionally friendly and make an effort to make you feel welcome and to assist with directions and recommendations - especially Jimmy and Katarina: thank you both for your time and kind assistance. The hotel is exceptionally clean and well furnished, and the view from the terrace is just wonderful. The hotel is a short stroll to Siena's historical centre. Great coffee at breakfast. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others.
Cons: Nothing - the hotel is really lovely.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Matteo & Jimmy were very friendly and helpful, arranging early check-in, recommending and booking great restaurants etc. Lovely seating area on the roof to bring your drinks with spectacular views of the Siena skyline. Room including bathroom was clean & comfortable. Breakfast out in the garden in the sunshine was great. Was able to park the hire-car on the street almost outside the front door in this nice quiet residential area, a leisurely 15 minute stroll from the Piazza del Campo
Cons: Can't think of anything
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The location was excellent, the view of Siena from the roof terrace was wonderful. The room was spacious and very clean, the bed very comfortable. The staff were extremely helpful, a very pleasant stay.
Cons: The room for breakfast was small given the number of rooms, not all people could be seated at once and it was quite difficult to get between the tables. The food was good and the coffee fresh, it was just the seating and size of the room.

7,1 Good
Pros: The location is good, very close to Siena and it is easy to get into the city by car. Value for money and a good one night stop-over. Owner was very helpful and explained where to park in Siena to avoid fines. Secure parking on the property. Room and bathroom clean.
Cons: Our bed was 2 single bed with metal frames put together, but the double mattress did totally fit the base completely. This made sitting on edge of bed uncomfortable. A few little things that didn't detract from our stay ....there was a kettle in our room, but no tea or coffee with it and fan in the bathroom didn't work. FYI - Expect to be in a residental area on the outskirts, not surrounded by Tuscan countryside.

Cons: Should have stayed longer.

Cons: Nothing really.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Very cute hotel
Cons: It was our anniversary and I told them. Nothing added no upgrades or anything special. The restaurant was not very good. My husband had turbot and it was dry and tasteless. Disappointing ☹️
9,6 Excellent
Pros: It's a cute little hotel in an authentic italian village where you say hello to your neighbors every day. Rooms are very vintage, which I loved. Not enough light though, but I didn't mind. The location is perfect for exploring Tuscany, and especially Chianti region. Parking is less than a minute away. Breakfast could be a bit better for us who don't really eat sweet breakfast, but that's just a minor thing. Coffee on the other hand is wonderful!
Cons: Camera on our terrace was a bit weird.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The house, the room, the neighborhood. Like going back in time. Old but nicely renovated house.
Cons: No parking place next to the hotel. After check out I had to carry the luggage to the public parking 100m from the hotel.

9,6 Excellent
Pros: Everything is great. The owner is very nice and explained us everything about the city. Breakfast was good. The location is good if you are with a car, it's just some minutes driving to Siena. However, it's not optimal if you're not travelling by car.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: We prefered to stay a bit out of Siena, park a car and use public transport to the city - and got it all here. The acommodation is 3 km out of city centre, there is a direct bus to Siena (1.50 euro), which takes 10-15 min and goes every 15 min to the city and back. Very convinient and easy! The room is clean and comfortable, breakfast is fantastic, very rich, the host was superfriendly, he gave us plenty of useful information - where to eat, take a bus, buy a ticket, what to see in Siena, he recommended us also some trips - which we enjoyed a lot! Parking is basically in front of the house. A short walk from the appartment (2 min) is a very nice restaurant with good food. Highly recommend it!
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Fabio is a great host. He's very friendly and gave us a lot of good tips about Siena and cities neaby. Amazing breakfast with a lot of variety! The best cappuccino I had in Italy!
Cons: The bathroom could be a little cleaner.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely host who was very welcoming! Great location in the countryside - lovely to wake up to roosters not city traffic! Comfortable and clean rooms. Breakfast buffet was a great start to our morning. Not to far of a drive to Sienna though we needed GPS to find parking as we are not used to the windy city streets. :) Added picture for underground parking house we used near all the main sites. Great place to stay outside of town and would suggest it if you are traveling with a car and looking for an easy place to arrive and set off from. Thanks for the lovely stay!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice place. easy access to siena. owner very helpful with english spoken.
6,7 Good
Pros: Landlord is really likeable an friendly!! Breakfast was there, you can get feed up and start the day but nothing special. Good location to travel arround.
Cons: Picture are a bit missleading in regard of the chambers size, at least two of them are quite small. Rooms are not very clean. Looking behind the beds and desks you will find lot of cobweb, etc - at least it was so in room 2. Cobwebs can be found also on the walls. Shower cabins yellowed - some guests might have a problem herewith. toilets are clean. Unfortunable very poorly soundproofed, 2 nights contiunuously hearing the snoring from the next room and that can be really annoying. No fly net (ony in bathroom), you are still on contry side and opening windows you might deal with a lot of uninvited guests. I am asking myself how big an investment might be to install some of those fly nets, which would be really helpful to the paying guests.

Pros: the location was great! Just a few minutes walking from city center. The terrace was a great surprise with an amazing view over siena skyline. The apartment was super clean. I would certainly go back.

5,0 Okay
Pros: The surroundings are really nice
Cons: I did not find it cosy at all. We booked the apartment cause we like to relax and have dinner at home after the whole day doing sightseeing but it was not a nice place to do that. It was quite cold ( the heating system was not working very well), there was a sofa that was old and uncomfortable from where you couldn’t even watch the TV cause it was in the other corner of the room and very small. Also the WiFi was not working well, so make sure you bring a book ( to read in the bed...)cause there is absolutely nothing to do there. On the other hand, there was very basic kitchen but there was not even a bit of salt and sugar so you need to buy all this small things which is quiet annoying., there was also not a cloth for cleaning the surface, we run out of shampoo and toilet paper cause the amount they left was not enough... In short, a lot of little details were missing to make our stay nice and to feel confortable in the place. I am sorry cause the owners were really nice but considering the amount i paid for this staying i did not feel it was worth my money.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Incredible views from our terrace - vineyards, distant hills. A sitting/dining room and kitchen is shared between 3 bedrooms which is an added bonus if you wish to make use of. Our hosts - mother and daughter - were lovely, welcoming glass of their own wine on arrival, hugs on leaving after 2 nights stay. Didn't want to leave!
Cons: Nothing

Cons: The internal walls were not sound proofed. We could hear the people talking in the rooms on either side of us.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The appartment was very clean and spacious and very quiet area. Since we had three bedrooms we could share the same living room/ kitchen.
Cons: Since there is no shopping facilities close by. I would have expected that at least there should have been some tea or coffee available.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very kind and hospitable hosts. Nice rural location, walking distance from centre of Siena, although bit dangerous to walk on road without walkway.. excellent restaurant with excellent house wine and food 100m away. Great value for money.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: The host were charming and so kind. The surroundings were amazing and would definitely recommend a stay for anyone looking for true Tuscan storybook hospitality
9,6 Excellent
Pros: It is a beautiful property. The rooms are clean and comfortable although a bit simple. But amazing considering they are retrofitted into an ancient castle. Nice bathroom too. The breakfast was great. Fresh fruits, breads, pastries, juices, cereal, boiled eggs, cappuccino, and all the trimmings. Also meats and cheeses. We loved our stay there!
Cons: You really have to take into consideration that it is a castle not a luxury hotel. It's a bit of a long walk up to our room through narrow stairways, specially with luggage. But again it's a castle and we were happy to put up with some minor inconveniences for the romantic experience of being there.

Pros: The peaceful room, the quiet, the closeness to Roman Gate, the Staff were the absolute Best, Loreana, Kucha, and all
Cons: I liked everything. But, the coffee might be a little better?
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was perfect, from the kindness of the staff, to the hotel itself and the location too. For that price it is genuinely good deal.
Cons: A pity they don't have a restaurant with such an amazing terrace/garden. I would have loved to see some hot options for the breakfast, but again this is really looking for small details.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel is very welcoming and in a fantastic location for exploring Siena. The staff were very helpful.
Cons: We would have preferred a room with a view over the garden, which is beautiful. The road is very busy which meant we couldn't really open the window in our room, as the noise and the fumes from the traffic were unpleasant.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Cosy hotel, perfect location and very good breakfast. Good parking
Cons: Nothing to dislike

8,0 Excellent
Pros: We had a family room and the view was amazing. Lovely overall location and delicious breakfast too.
Cons: Internet was not good, unreliable.
3,8 Mediocre
Cons: The staff was unhelpful and seemed uncaring. There was no hot water but they were kind enough to give me a refund for the next night. The hallway carpets are filthy and there is an overwhelming smell of disinfectant.
7,9 Good
Pros: We had a lovely time although it was not what we expected. The staff were really great and looked after us well. The parking arrangements were very good.
Cons: Although The room was clean it was very tired and needs updating.
3,8 Mediocre
Cons: In room coffee/hot water would have been good. If this is not possible, at least have the courtesy (hot beverage) in the lobby area. For me this is make or break thing, as it affects my bodily function, especially at places like Italy where public toilette is nonexistent or unreliable at best.
5,6 Okay
Pros: Views from our room were amazing
Cons: We thought this would be our splurge hotel on our European vacation, but this was one of the more run down places we visited. The decor is dated (unpainted wood furniture and trim) and the shower was just a shower head on the bathroom wall with a shower curtain wrapped around it. The water from the shower got all over the bathroom floor making using the sink or toilet a messy adventure. We were quite disappointed with the overall value of this hotel.. although the location makes up for some of it.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very helpful and accommodating staff - clean and tidy hotel... would recommend!
7,9 Good
Pros: We asked for a top floor room that our friends had. Fabulous view & the walk up the stairs worth it.
Cons: The whole place could do with a bit of TLC. Paint, curtains attachments, etc. 2 out of 3 mornings there were no eggs left, not much fruit.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Location is good for walking around city.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Staff
Cons: Weird hallways

6,3 Good
Pros: Location was great, even though it wasnt how I expected. The hotel is nice, very colonial vibe to it. Staff very kind and the room was huge.
Cons: I knew it was a colonial type hotel, and I know the offer was a time travel experience, but I believe it was not for me. A lot of insects in our room, very old furniture, not the way I imagined. Breakfast was also disappointing, I expected more diversity of food for what the hotel claims to offer (charge for scrambled eggs was offensive!!!!!!!!!!)
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The grounds were amazing & we were so appreciative of the breakfast service and food provided. One of the best waiters I’ve ever run across in my life ( has been there for over 25 years)!
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The grounds are beautiful and well kept. The single room was the best single room I have ever had anywhere: good size, bright, and well furnished.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is furnished with taste, has a nice garden and is situated in a green area close to the city. The staff in the restaurant was very friendly and educated, the food excellent. The rooms were large and perfectly clean.
Cons: Nothing to mention.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful, warm and welcoming
10,0 Excellent
Pros: I was stranded for the night and booked my room right before showing up at the hotel. It had been a hell of a day of travel with me finding out that I couldn't get out of the town til the next morning. The concierge was extraordinary! I apologize that I forget her name. I think it was Cecilia. She took interest in the crazy day that I had and investigated, found out where I was supposed to be going (no one that I asked knew the town that I was supposed to be heading to for a wedding) and called my room shortly after I checked in. She found out where the town was, how far away it was and offered to book a cab (it was very far away). That doesn't even include the view, breakfast, lounge, etc. Great place and even better experience!
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful views from the garden and very nice staff.
Cons: The room is a bit dated but spacious.
