Weird hallways
Views from our room were amazing
We thought this would be our splurge hotel on our European vacation, but this was one of the more run down places we visited. The decor is dated (unpainted wood furniture and trim) and the shower was just a shower head on the bathroom wall with a shower curtain wrapped around it. The water from the shower got all over the bathroom floor making using the sink or toilet a messy adventure. We were quite disappointed with the overall value of this hotel.. although the location makes up for some of it.
very good location, good service,
Very good location. Very nice hotel with friendly staff I enjoyed nice view of Cathedral and Palazzo Publico. Very happy with breakfast.
The only problem was noise from the room next door late into the morning. I had quiet a loud woman next door, unfortunately I was in the hotel for 3 nights and so was she and her partner. This sort of thing you just have to live with, it is part of routine hotel experience.
very kind and helpful staff and close to the city center
Pleasant and chatty staff who helped me retrieve lost property from local taxi company. Also, their restaurant recommendations were reliable (not always the case in Italian hotels).Clean and comfortable rooms. My room and some others had wonderful views of the Cathedral and surrounding countryside. Cheap use of use of internet. Excellent location near the Campo, the Duomo and the Pinacoteca. Free (Italian) newspapers.
Nothing really, except lift only takes you up one floor, you then have to carry your luggage up to the next floor. And the breakfast, as in many three star hotels, is pretty uninteresting: industrial cakes and biscuits, processed cheese! But the coffee was acceptable.
Very close to city center & Duomo but very hard to get your car to the hotel to drop of luggage.
Very hard to get to if not familiar with location.
Simple furnished room with marvellous view. Helpful staff.
No wireless connection in room. Had to use the hotel connection which wasn't always convenient.
Spacious rooms - wonderful views of cathedral and countryside
Great location
Finding the hotel by car at night. If we had known to go to the Porto Marco it would have really helped
Friendly and helpful attitude of all the staff. Our room was quiet and located off the Via Stalloreggi which is what we had asked for.
Great location, beautiful period building with grand stone staircase (as well as lift), modern facilities and helpful staff. Free parking 10 mins away. 24 hr reception.
Mattresses are 'firm'
