We were overwhelmed with the staff hospitality, from the bell person( Elias) to the reception( Ivan), room service, the pool attendant. Everyone went above and beyond. My daughter and I commented on our flight back about how our last day in Santo Domingo was outstanding due to the courtesy from the staff at the Sheraton.

Pros: This is very convenient location to points of interest. I slept well and felt safe throughout all public and private areas. I enjoyed the breakfast and friendly staff. Though not there on business,I did not feel out of place. The art gallery was a bonus. The staff was excellent. Noticed children of other guests in pool had a grand time! Nice to to see all the business travelers having fun while doing business.

Cons: Their reception staff was unwelcoming and rude. I had a problem where I was given the wrong room and the woman in reception was very rude and spoke to me in a unprofessional way. I ended up waiting all day and given a proper room late in the evening.

Was extremely difficult to park. 3.No bell boy available to help 4. Frontdesk personnel were not friendly at all. 5. Soap in bathroom was no only for one person. If you stay with other person you should share soap bar. 6. Rooms did not have a minibar and not even water either for sale or complimentary. All hotels in the area provide that.

The rooms were beautiful, spacious and very comfortable. The staff is very kind and generous, I lost my two gold earring in the pool and they somehow managed to find them and hand them back to me. The pool is spacious and clean, the music they play is very soothing nothing too extreme. The kids enjoyed the stay.

I did not like that room service crew knocked the room door but enter the rooms without being acknowledged to come into the room and they were there as late as 9pm at night. I was locked in one of the bathroom by the pool after midnight and there was no escape route, it was like stuck in a sauna. no emergency alarm. thank god a young girl walked in and open the door for me.

Cons: Once we checked in, the representative alerted us that we had to pay US $39 per person for the breakfast buffet. I quickly showed her my reservation that clearly stated that breakfast was included. She kindly asked me to take a screenshot and send it to her supervisor, however we did not receive any response from him. The next day we had to go the lobby ourselves to see what had been resolved and she let us know that we could enjoy the free breakfast. We learned that in the late afternoon thus missing out on our first day of breakfast. Room service food is not that great, and pretty pricey and takes about 45 minutes.

Every item was hand selected with great attention for care with from local artists and designers. It was a magical place with the feeling of being outside the city. All the casas had their own pool and onsite butler. The staff were extremely hospitable and friendly. I would definitely return, and if I were traveling with a family, or a group of people, I would highly recommend renting one of the casas. I learned that Oscar de La Renta lived in one of the houses before it became a hotel. Owner by Small Luxury Hotels of the world. Thankt you for a wonderful stay!

Room was clean and spacious with air con and all the amenities you need. You set your own code to enter your room so there’s no need to try and keep up with a key. We paid extra to have breakfast included with our room and it was delicious! I think probably the best breakfast I had while in DR. The upper floor area with jacuzzi is beautiful and perfect for relaxing. Pool area is also nice. Within the main walking area of Santo Domingo so lots of shops, restaurants, and nightlife within walking distance. Loved my stay here.

Pros: I liked everything about the hotel, but the restaurant employee was to old and bad service, everything cost twice, and the employees, especially the men are lacy and don’t pay attention to the customer. They been there to long. The hotel and the employees was super nice and helpful.

Pros: The best location in the Colonial Zone. Near from all historical places. The big supermarket in a couple of minutes by feet. A lot of restaurants there are in this area as well. In the evening the Columbus Park is the nice place for dinner and promenade. Musicians and painters are attracted by tourists here, so you can buy cheap and nice acrylic painting. Look for Alexander Alsina, he produce a nice impressionistic paintings. So this is a nice hotel to stay for a day or two.

Cons: The AC was extremely noisy, we asked about laundry, they told us they charge 1.50 per item. We gave them 42 items, then got a bill for $113.00!!!! To find out later that they charge 3.50for shirts and pants, and 1.50 for socks and undies.. they were not honest with us. Breakfast at the hotel was about 35.00 for four people, simply juice and a small omlet. No elavators! We were on the 4th floor..

Cons: In the room there are no facilities at all: no glasses, no teapot, no coffee machine, no slippers and no bathrobe. The room with balcony and Palacio Consistorial view costs twice as much but this is not highlighted in the description. Breakfast for 7 USD is just a wasting of money - there are no buffet. In general this hotel draws excellent 3 stars, but not 4, I guess.

Cons: The mattress needs upgrade. Also dividing glass wall in shower should be longer, because the water is splashing infront of toilet. Or add curtain. We also did have noisy guests on Friday night. It will be very nice for guests and extra income for hotel if you serve lunch and dinner on terrace.

Cons: The room it self was okay. The door had a large gap that made it easy to see what was on the opposite side of our room. The shower was the same level as the floor in the bathroom, no separation and there was no door to close that separated the shower from the rest of the bathroom (just half a glass door). The TV was computer size and most channels were in Spanish and the ones in English didnt work. The bed was not comfortable and the pillows were flat. Kept stomping my foot at the corner of the bed frame.
