Historic building in World Heritage Zona Colonial.
Old historic feel of staying in a building that was build right after Christopher Columbus. Nice part of the tourism locations. Sometimes area is kinda iffy. Keep your valuables safe. I hope this helps.
The grounds are lovely and the staff very attentive and friendly— great location — second time here
Our room was terrible — definitely got screwed on my room — we didnt switch as we flew from hong kong 22 plus hours and were about to pass out — we were in the “ imperial” section but my room 2 years ago ( cheaper in the modern side) was 1000x better — my room had nowhere to unpack —really, heavy dark furniture, only like shutters black out so it was either super cave dark or glaring sunlight — the bathroom had bad lighting , nowhere to hang things/ towels and the light switches were random so could never figure out how to turn off the lights in bathroom — door didnt close so we can to drag the rubbish bin over if we wanted privacy — basically we got a terrible room — there was a breakfast buffet for the “ imperial” wing which was limited ( we are not big breakfast people but give me some fruit pls) so we just walked over the main buffet every morning — next time I wont waste my money on a nicer room wasnt worth it :(
The type of room I wanted was not available so they upgraded me. The room and the service was excellent!
Breakfast is way too expensive.
Beautiful historical bldg
