Hotels near Santiago airport

Pros: The pool had an amazing view. The pool was also very clean. Very clean and comfortable rooms and bed. Also the staff was very friendly.

Cons: The price was too high for what you're actually getting but there aren't better options around

Pros: The manager was not too customer friendly oriented but the regular staff were amazing and in the restaurant pedro Silverio was amazing

Cons: Check in staff downstairs was rude. Gym is old and broken. Hot tub is not hot. Pool is not heated. Would not even go into the restaurant. Was there a disco there? Overpriced for Santiago

Cons: The decor and rooms are dated pre-2000. They need to better represent the growth and new decor featured in other Santiago properties.

Cons: The hotel is starting to look and feel dated from the 90's. The beds are old and sinking in the middle along with an old bathroom style. The hotel needs to be renovated to reflect a fresh new generation.

Cons: Check-in & check out practices are EXTREMELY deceptive !!! Was overcharged on both of my stays there !!! First, at check-in on my first stay, then at check-out on my second stay.

Pros: The staff was excellent. They were helpful and very friendly. The restaurant was great. It is close to the airport. I have recommended the hotel to friends that are planning trips to Santiago.

Cons: My trip was over to quickly. I look forward to my return. I did inquire about a hotel reward program. The staff said there wasn't one. He may have been unaware of the program.

Some of the personnel were extremely good taking care of us, like Olga the housekeeper and at the restaurant the female host, and the waiters Victor & Emmanuel at the restaurant. My wife were worried about a Past guest Review about a coffee charge during the breakfast but at the end was wrong because was included infinite in the breakfasts.

Cons: Hotel without pool. First night we didn't knew that we needed to make reservation with the restaurant they were packed, but the followed and keeps good pandemic protocol.

Pros: Dawayn the receptionist was exceptionally a good listener honest and courteous and very calm; he is truly an asset to this hotel because of him I will truly DELIBERATELY return to Puerto plata via Santiago just to enjoy the fine customer service- also the restaurant guys I can’t remember their names were exceptional too. I felt at home and surrounded by my relatives in a place where I had a language barrier alone and nervous of what to expect; I had three bottles of Presidente- one of the best beer in the world without its credit, and I was feeling much more relaxed.

Cons: Nothing. I took pictures of proof of sanitizing in process and how clean the place is after every use.

Pros: Frank is a bit of a character but quite possibly one of the nicest people I've met. The place itself isn't spectacular but it was quite comfortable and we slept well. Wifi worked well. Shower and breakfast were adequate. It's really Frank who makes the place.

Cons: Nothing really. For what it was, everything was as expected. We chose this place because we wanted to be close.to the bus station but you could find a nicer place for about the same money elsewhere (but no Frank lol)

Pros: To begin with I had a very good welcome by the owner who called out to me by name. He started with a good first impression. Even before I arrived to the designated location, he sent a number of text messages and images so that I knew what to expect and pictures of the building and location through Google maps. It was key to me finding and recognizing the place of my stay. The owner and I sat a while during my check in and had a pleasant conversation. It was great because we had shared experiences in another province of the Dominican Republic. This enabled familiarity and presented it self in time for concern in letting him know my plans or whereabouts for the day. So, he would check in with me to see if I was ok and planning to return late and so forth. The breakfast of three to choose from was great. It was good to the taste and filling. I would never miss it and the conversations that developed in his company and others who also stayed at this Residencial Matilde tp 1 location. Frank is a great guy and made my stay very pleasant.

Pros: From the time that i exited the hired taxi i was impressed with it's location, it's staff, and it's facilities. The location of the hotel was close to grocery stores and everthing else that anyone could appreciate. The staff was very professional and accomodating. Although the hotel was not newly erected, one could tell that they take a lot of pride into maintaining it.

Pros: Very cute, comfortable, and safe place for a solo female traveler. Definitely take the recommendations for the taxi there because I got ripped off by someone who did not know where the place was, so have the owner set up a taxi for you. The owner is very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. I also loved the room. The bed was big and comfortable, and the TV was huge, and the bathroom adequate as well with hot water in the shower. The AC and fan worked fine to cool the room. The restaurant was very quaint and convenient, and the food very good! There is also a natural foods/vegetarian restaurant across the street which I wanted to check out but they did not take cards. I loved it and would stay there again if I am ever back in Santiago.

Pros: My brother & I both enjoyed our stay there. It's a pretty lively area when things are back to normal. The pool area was a cool hang out when it's open. I'll definitely visit again whenever we get to normalcy

Cons: No casino.... made the place feel dead at times. I've been there pre-covid-19 so I was able compare the difference. The wifi was terrible. And I wasn't a big fan of the shower area.

Pros: Lo único bueno que tiene es que está en El Centro de la ciudad y bien ubicado

Cons: Las habitaciones no están preparadas para que el ruido de afuera no entre, por lo cual con el cacino de al lado no puedes dormir bien. Por otro lado, las habitaciones huelen a baño sucio y en vez de cambiártelas mandan a poner ambientadores de olor.

Pros: It was convenient to get to from the Autopista. Good water pressure in the showers. The mangu was delicious at the continental breakfast. The front desk staff and the door men were very helpful.

Cons: The rooms were pretty dated and a little dreary. It's not that peaceful of a stay as the casino and it's bars/clubs are right below. There was some obvious prostitution happening in and around the hotel. One of the male waitstaff made a very inappropriate come-on to my friend, that really made her feel incredibly uncomfortable. Location is not really near good Dominican food or local spots.
