Cons: Meh breakfast. Every time the rooms around us went to use the bathroom, we heard their water turn on like there was a torrential downpour in the room. Quite annoying.

Pros: We had a late check-in and a car to park, the lateness of the hour made no difference and we received a excellent service, friendly, efficient, no fuss ,no problems. The room was very comfortable and the bathroom clean and modern. The breakfast is excellent, the best we've had on our travels! The morning coffee served to your choice and is excellent, there is a cooked breakfast, a continental breakfast, cakes, biscuits, flans and fresh fruit, all top drawer and excellent.

Cons: Room 401 - no windows that you could look out of; like being in a small box! Lift is very slow. Decor in lobby could do with a refresh. Bed was pretty uncomfortable and room only had single pillows for each of us....

Cons: Tv, safe, elevaotor didn't work. Walls VERY thin. Confused our day of check out but hotel didn't say anything until after we checked out. Once we realized our error, requested refund, they said no so then we we said it was our room and we may come back. They later texted that we made them lose a customer because we didn't go back....so they wanted to be paid for the room twice.

Pros: Perfect for the first two night stay in Palermo before our tour started. Hotel arranged airport transfer for us, friendly welcome at late check in, spacious room and bathroom, big comfy bed. A lot of sweet dishes/cakes on offer for breakfast but was happy with the good coffee and tasty hot egg/sausage option. Quick walk to Teatro Massimo which appears to be the central hub of the city.

Pros: Hotel centrally placed within easy reach of attractions, shops and restaurants. Road outside noisy and busy but ok. Breakfast was ok but had too many sweet things. Coffee was not hot and cooked breakfast only ok. The hotel staff and cleaners were great and couldn't have been more helpful.

Cons: Breakfast and the room layout itself which also doubled as a bar when it wasn't used for breakfast.

Pros: It's a genuine 4-star hotel, nothing to complain about. The breakfast, at EUR 7 / person, was very good.

Pros: The hotel is just off the main road, 30 seconds from the bus stop and well signed posted. The rooms are spacious and our balcony was facing the sun. Check out time was excellent 12pm

Pros: The room was large and beds very comfortable.

Cons: The breakfast room was really cramped. There weren't enough egg cups !! The waitress had to get egg cups off other guests table and wash them! Other than that the breakfast was great. The safe didn't work properly and we ended up using a safe in another room which was empty.

Cons: First, the day of my check-out I went to get breakfast and came back in time to back for my 12pm check-out. When I can in he told me not to use the room or bathroom because they already made the room. Housekeeping had to leave early so the room had to be done early. But the room should have been mine and for my use until noon. The second problem I had was at checkout when he told me I had to pay 24 euros more for the extra person that stayed in my room. The night before my friend came from his nearby hotel and we watched movies and when he fell asleep I did not wake him, he just slept and left the next morning. When I asked to see where it says I should pay extra, he said “it’s this way in Italy” but I’m pretty sure that’s not a law, that would be a policy of the hotels and I would like to see where it’s written. Of course he could not show me, and when you do a simple search online you can easily see the room with the double bed is the same price for one or two people (I attached a simple screen shot to illustrate this). The only difference in the price is the city tax per person. To me it seemed a very unprofessional way of squeezing a bit more money out of the client. He told me he had been working in hotels for 40 years. Well, welcome to the age of the internet where things are more transparent. My final issue was that I was double taxed for the city tax. I paid once here on booking.com and paid upon leaving the hotel as well. The money is not a lot, it's the unprofessional treatment that really annoys me. The man treated me like I was a dumb foreigner.

Pros: The hotel was great for us taking the Ferry tomorrow. The staff were exceptional in helping us out trying fix a booking problem as as aresult of a missed fliught. Exceptional staff.

Pros: Beautiful little boutique hotel. Very clean and staff was very helpful. The location is close to shopping and restaurants which is very convenient. Would recommend.

Cons: The hotel itself was fantastic. When you leave the hotel to walk around, there are ridiculous amounts of garbage piled in the streets which makes it very unpleasant.

Pros: The hotel rooms are very dated and need an update. There was a bad odor in the room as well which made things unpleasant. The location isn't good either, being situated in an old and run down area of town next to the prison.

Pros: An hotel with personality, right across the road from an interesting looking fortress, which turned out to be a prison. A new jazz club ("Miles Davies") had just opened across the road: cool atmosphere & live music. The 2 restaurants next door "Comfort Food" and "Mudd" are to be recommended. The hotel is a little far from the town centre and the nearby streets aren't the cleanest or best lit.

Pros: The staff was very helpful and spoke English well. The room was clean and comfortable. They arranged the trsnsfer from the airport late at night.

Cons: Our room was at the front of the hotel and the street noise was loud. We never got the internet to work.

Pros: Breakfast was large with many options. Staff was friendly, fun and helpful. Our room had all good amenities.

Cons: The location was farther from the city center than we wanted, but we appreciated how quiet it was. There were three very good restaurants quite close to the hotel. But the main reason we booked in the first place! was to have a secure place for our car. Their parking area was perfect!

Cons: A chap on reception in the morning was abrupt and thoroughly rude when giving brief instructions despite no others waiting. One of the poorest efforts Ive experienced in many years of travel.Otherwise staff pleasant.

Cons: We were ignored by staff who didn’t speak English, this was everyone! Hotel caters for large group tours. Room smelt strongly of mould, which didn’t dissipate during stay. Room was ‘renovated’ but needed renovation! Ate once in restaurant for dinner. Worse (and overpriced) meal in Sicily and waited one hour to be served (but quiet night). As staff both in restaurant and front desk did not speak English, complaint fell on deaf ears. Booked hotel as major feature was swimming pool. Pool closed one week before our stay despite daily temps of 27degrees Celsius. Parking pot luck outside hotel where African males frighten patrons demanding money to park their cars.

Pros: The room. Well fitted, clean and practical. Great balcony. Quiet. All in all a redeeming feature of the hotel.

Cons: The worst restaurant service I have experienced in a long while. I had to ask three people for the drink I ordered. 20 minutes to arrive. Service was slow. I had to ask for salt several times before getting a couple of tear-open envelopes of salt. I left the restaurant after waiting for my bill for 20 minutes - after all, they had my room number! Staff begrudgingly friendly. Room service likewise. Concierge service inefficient and unclear.
