Cons: Memory foam mattresses have come a long way and I would recommend the changing of the mattresses out for better technology. From a business perspective, that is a huge huge expense but the investment would most definitely make a positive impact.

Cons: #1.Checkin person tried to be smart amusing when I waited for the credit card gadget for a while and he said what did instructions said? I told him he was supposed to help me and not make me have to read all that. The reception desk was a bit above eye level and it was dark as I just walked in from outside. He said that all instructions are different, I looked at him “really”and said you should be helping me. Then he started being a bit more courteous as he checked me in. #2. In the evening I went to the bar to watch Astros game. For 15 mins, no wait staff came and served me, and asked if I want something to drink. Another couple came after me and the waitress went straight to them. I am an older non white woman, so they probably think I do not drink alcohol, but at least they could offer coffee, water or coke. You asked I shared my observations.

Cons: The fact that I had two separate incidents where people were given a key to my room and tried getting in. Luckily I had my door pull over lock on or else they would of got in. And when I brought it to the attention of the front desk all they said was oops we must of forgot to put you in the system. I also didn’t like the fact that when we checked in I asked if there was a bathtub in the room and the lady said for 20.00 more there will be one but we have to pay that in cash and we did just to get to our room and not find one. When I confronted the worker she said it was her mistake. Will NOT stay here again

Pros: I used booking.com and there was some sort of issue when we checked in that took 20 minutes to fix. The desk staffer was very nice and kept us informed but just seemed kind of crazy. One reservation went through under booking.com but the second one did not. Not sure if the issue was on booking.com or Marriott side.

Pros: Bed was comfortable. Shower was strong. Nice large balcony patio off the room, although it was difficult to sit outside because the Houston air is so hot and humid. I liked having access to Netflix and Utube for free. Parking for car was free.
Cons: Food and food prices - only stale tortilla chips, liquid “cheese” and cookies were offered for bar reception on Friday evening. both breakfast and dinner on Saturday were awful. I saw many room service trays in the hallways that were only partially eaten, indicating to me that even that food wasn’t very good. I couldn’t wait to get out of the hotel Sunday morning and go somewhere to eat a decent meal. Food and drink prices were too high for the quality available.

The policy of cleaning staff not taking dirty plate from the room must be revisited. Personally, I dislike seeing plates in hotel corridors.

Cons: The room had a strong musty smell. I found mold/mildew on bed skirt at the head of the bed. The employee took me to look at another room before I changed, and that had mold and mildew on the bed skirt in the same spot. He finally took me to a double bedded room, upstairs, which is what I did not want. That room was at least okay to stay in. No mold, mildew. His attitude after finding the mold was not apologetic at all. I found it to be very apathetic. As if, I was causing an issue. I suffer from bad allergies to mold and mildew, and I told him that. I felt like there was no understanding on his part. And, of course, there was no suggestion that they weren't even going to clean the bed skirts after I told them that. Hopefully they did.

Cons: They overcharged me and tried to tell me that I booked 2 nights but I have the receipt showing I only booked one night. They also charge full price if you want to pay cash even if you chose the pay later.

Pros: Friendly staff and good location. The lobby and restaurant areas are nice and appear to have been recently updated.
Cons: Aside from the lobby and restaurants, the facility is very dated. Many pieces of equipment in the fitness center were out of order or not fully functioning. The bathrooms are very 80ish with the fixtures showing signs of wear (i.e. rust, corrosion, etc.). As a Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite Member, I was very disappointed in this location.

Cons: Room was a non smoking room, but previous guests had smoked many cigarettes. It was very smoky, which front desk said is a ongoing problem. They charged only $25 deposit for smoking, which obviously is not a deterrent.

Cons: Everything. The front desk guy was very rude. The room was disgusting. The ceiling was filthy. The table was covered in glitter and ginger nail polish. There were two different types of hair on the sheets. And roaches in the bathroom. We left immediately.
