Hôtel Saint-Marc - Paris - Building
1
9,4 Excellent (749 reviews)
R4 080+
Overview Reviews
In the heart of Paris, just steps away from the Opera House, the Louvre, theatres, boutiques and galleries, Hôtel Saint-Marc offers an ultra-chic paradise where luxury, design and discretion come together. Seduced by the elegant and festive history of this secret 18th-century hôtel particulier that is considered a piece of French heritage, and inspired by a passion for Parisian culture, we dreamed of a place where spirit and beauty come together with meaning and refinement. We entrusted the full decoration of the Hotel to Ditmore Studio. To join together the flesh of History and the breath of our time. By combining vintage furniture with tailor-made creations, items found at flea markets with signed objects. Hôtel Saint-Marc has 26 rooms, including one suite. They are designed as private apartments, as luxurious and comfortable as they are intimate and Parisian. They come in six different decors, characterized by six main colors: sky blue, petrol green, pink, burgundy red, mustard yellow and pine green, which give each of them a unique and resolutely aesthetic dimension.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The decor, comfy beds, nice/helpful staff, very clean and great location.
Cons: It was all perfect!
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff are really professional and friendly, they went above and beyond expectation when asked for recommendations. The rooms are really nice, almost floor to ceiling windows looking out onto the garden are so good. The bathroom was the major selling point, such great design and workmanship. Walk in shower and huge basin. So good I’m considering something similar for my own place. Great location, can’t go wrong for food in most areas of Paris and this area is no exception.
Cons: Nothing I can think of
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Great staff! Reception was Super friendly (and patient) and helpful with tours, taxi service. Beautiful room, very nice bathroom. Great breakfast. Nice sitting areas, and drinks available incl wine and beer. Hotel location close to shops, restaurants and metro.
Cons: The pool was not warm, but we did go in late, maybe didn’t have enough time to warm up.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: I like the design of Saint Marc, stylish yet comfortable. Staff are nice and helpful.
Cons: Nothing.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: The staff were all very friendly and extremely helpful. We got the chance to use the spa facilities. Getting to use the pool & steam room just for the two of you for a hour was amazing. Pure luxury. Beautifully styled rooms and bathrooms.
Cons: Tiny point - didn’t replenish the shampoos/shower gels. Had to ask.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Staff was kind and very helpful. The Room was very nice and the bathroom was big. Beds were comfortable! The private time In The spa was a nice extra touch!
Cons: Our room overlooked the garden which opens to the lobby. Though pretty, It was a little loud as people were coming and going and talking/eating breakfast outside. Cleaning staff started early and vacuumed the hallway outside our room very early. Just wish it were a little quieter.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Central location, beautifully designed, great amenities, comfy bed, good sized bathroom and staff were all fantastic ! Tolerated my consistently terrible attempts to try French, were in touch by email making me feel welcome before I even arrived, had helpful suggestions about my plans for Paris, and a quick response after I left when I thought I’d left my credit card in the safe. Really made it a lovely and welcoming place to wake and come home to at night.
Cons: Nothing - could not have asked for more.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable, very nice staff, neat little courtyard-garden, quiet, lovely spa with small swimming pool and steam room to be booked individually
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely wonderful hotel. Beautiful rooms. Nice spa and very good breakfast. Staff are very nice and helpful. Stayed for five nights. Enjoyed every minute.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Room was perfect for our needs. Staff was very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed our time in the spa. Convenient location to all the activities we had on our list. Lots of restaurants in the area.
Cons: Obviously not the Hotel's fault but would have liked to have been aware of the office building being directly constructed across the street. We are on the second floor so we didn't need an alarm clock! I've stayed at a hotel with this situation before and were offered compensation up front for the inconvenience (complimentary breakfast, small discount on room) but not this time.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast really nice, good location,
Cons: drinks in hotel are rather expensive
Overview Reviews
When Charm & More decided to create a hotel of discreet luxury with top-end amenities and service, all in a chic, relaxed atmosphere, they brought together the talents that could turn that dream to reality: Jean-Michel Wilmotte for the design, Bruno Doucet for the restaurant and a team from the luxury hospitality industry for the services.Whether it’s in one of our 33 rooms or suite, settled in at the restaurant or lounging under the bar’s glass roof, the Hôtel de Nell welcomes you in style, with intimate spaces trimmed in exclusive décor with the sole objective of enhancing your well-being.The Hôtel de Nell is much more than comfort. It’s a state of being.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: We were upgraded to one of the nicest rooms I have ever stayed in
6,3 Good
Pros: Pros: location is AAA+. Easy to reach most sight sings.
Cons: Cons: 1) Breakfast. I didn't get why it's rated so high. Coffee and a croissant it's not a breakfast. I am disappointed. Paid for but didn't use for 5 days. Not recommended to add this option at all. For 15 euro you get mountains of options around. 2) Some staff doesn't speak EN at all. Surprise in 5* hotel. 3) Room. Bathroom and WC are separated, Bathroom is some kind of open space with not door, they are located in different corners of the room. Very strange and uncomfortable. 4) All in all when I see 9+rating I used to see pretty different service and conditions. That the first time when the reality didn't meet expectations at all. I would rate this hotel as 3*.
6,7 Good
Pros: A very good 3 star hotel
Cons: Not a five star
6,3 Good
Cons: The room was uncomfortable
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location - will try the restaurant next time
Cons: Make sure you pre-advise arrival and preferred departure time
9,6 Excellent
Pros: It’s personal - only 33 rooms and you don’t get the feeling that you’re lost in a huge building. And I loved having a small, intimate restaurant with excellent food and an enormous wine list. I ate there my last night and when I come back I’m inclined to eat there because being a solo traveler it’s so easy. And the staff are superb. I had one small problem with a staff member and it was addressed immediately.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Staff very helpful and polite. Room very clean and comfortable.
10,0 Excellent

8,0 Excellent
Pros: We loved our stay at Hotel Bel Ami, mostly because the accommodation is in a fabulous location in St Germain des Pres, and the hotel staff were exceptionally helpful. A special thanks to Roberto at Reception and Ilan (new starter on Concierge) who were both terrific at ensuring our stay was extremely comfortable and that it exceeded our expectations. We received a great tip for dinner on night one from the knowledgeable and helpful Concierge to a local restaurant Huguette, Bistro de la mer on Rue de Seine... which was sensational and got our trip off to a fabulous start! Although the rooms are a bit small, they are very functional, clean and the beds extremely comfortable!
Cons: Rooms are a tad small!
9,2 Excellent
Cons: I was in a freshly refurbished room that smelt strongly of fresh paint. I thought the room needed to be aired out for longer before put in use.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: Buffet Breakfast poor and a little;e chaotic at times - Paying an extra 5 Euro's for poached eggs unreasonable
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing location - best location in Paris for a visitor. Very friendly staff. Great value
4,6 Okay
Pros: the best part of the hotel is the location and its good breakfast
Cons: When i arrived at night on a prepaid reservation the reception staff tried to send me to another hotel nearby claiming the room had suffered damage and was unavailable. After a full day of travelling and not having received an advance notice of the "event" I suspected this was a trick used by an overçbooked hotel. I demanded to see the damages and this the supposed manager was unable to show me, so after a little voice raisingf on my part all of the sudden the room became available. I left that the hotel reception made to lie to me their paying customer . Two more managers emerged and during my short saty the hotel personel made me feel as if they had made me and my wife a favor by letting us stay in the hotel for which I had PREPAID my stay. I can only imagine if my reservation was not prepaid I would have been in the street looking for a hotel room
7,9 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: The bathroom. Impossible to take a shower without having a pool in the bathroom. No laundry service on Sunday. Noise at night.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: cleanliness and good staff

Pros: The location was awesome. We were 2 mins walk away from the Louvre and the metro. Also, having a suite style room was nice as it was lovely to come back after a long day of sight seeing and lounge on the couch or make a snack in the little kitchenette. The balcony was also a nice touch.
Cons: There is really nowhere for cabs to stop when loading and unloading you at the hotel. We managed as our cabbies were awesome both coming and going, but I can see how others might have problems (especially if you have a lot of luggage).

9,2 Excellent
Pros: location, hotel staffs , room design and room amenities .

Pros: This is a small quaint hotel. Loved the location. Loved the library. And the staff is very friendly and helpful.

9,7 Excellent
Pros: This is a lovely small hotel in an excellent location with an outstanding staff. As another reviewer noted, Giorgio at the front desk is polite and cheerful, in a quiet sort of way, and very helpful and attentive. This hotel Our only complaint is that is a top choice for someone wanting to spend several days exploring - - either on foot, by Metro, or by car - - the sights of Paris.
Cons: Our only complaint is that the housekeeping staff had to be asked to replenish bath soap and shower gel.
7,1 Good
Pros: the staff were polite, the breakfast was nice, the bed was comfy and the free tea/coffee was a nice touch.
Cons: for the price, my room was tiny and had very little natural sunlight - felt a bit like being in a cave! it also wasn't perfectly clean and neither was the dining room. it was very similar to hotels i've stayed in in the same area for around 2/3 of the price.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel staff was great. Also the location absolutely central and walking distance to main attractions.
Cons: Maybe room service to clean the room should check back when people are in the room to clean it later.

Pros: Loved staying here. A stones throw away from Rue de bac metro station and in the heart of St Germain. Comfortable rooms - small but not unexpected for this part of Paris. 5 mins to the river and Musee d’orsay. Continental breakfast was lovely (beautiful croissants) and the additional cost for a hot breakfast was reasonable. Staff were lovely. Would be back for sure.
Cons: No iron in the room, house keeping did not replenish the shower gel etc - a little disappointing for a 5 star property.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was delicious
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, very friendly and helpful staff. Bed and pillows were very comfortable and rainfall shower was awesome! We had a deluxe double bed, which is somewhat hard to find in Paris
Cons: We opted for breakfast included in our reservation. Be advised this is a true continental breakfast: pastries, muesli, fruit and yogurt only (coffee, tea and juice of course). It would have been nice to have a protein item, even if it was hard-cooked eggs or cold meats. We didn’t feel the breakfast included was a good value

I said ok please take my luggage down and they are ready. I came back at 3:15pm and they wanted to charge me late check out. I said I told the lady and he said it’s a favor that they will not charge. I didn’t argue to save my nerves and energy. But if you didn’t have a place for a 1:30 check out how can you have place until 3:15pm with a late charge!

The Pullman Paris Centre-Bercy is transformed and welcomes you in a creative and recreational address. Its direct accessibility to Gare de Lyon, airports and the heart of Paris makes the hotel a favorite place for Parisians and travelers. The place's architecture, Tom Dixon's interior design, the surprising service and the teams' disposition will make of your stay a vibrant experience.
8,3 Excellent
Pros: Good location within easy reach of the Metro. Only 20 mins max to reach main tourist sites. Bercy Village is very pleasant and provides a great place near the hotel to eat. Generally the staff in the main area were very helpful and polite. Good concierge service as well. The Gluten free section of the breakfast was also good.
Cons: The lack of spa and swimming pool. This should be made clearer on the web site. Also on check-out morning it felt more like an eviction with our door being knocked on two occasions by the cleaners. It's a small point but for breakfast the hot water for tea was never hot. On both days it's was lukewarm.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Quality 4-star hotel, staff great, beautiful very nice rooms with comfortable beds. Loved the neighborhood with Bercy Village right next to hotel. I had some amazing food there some of my favorite in Paris.
Cons: There is nothing I didn't like. I would definitely stay there again but it is a little far out of being on the out-skirts although the metro can take you most everywhere.

Pros: Everything was perfect! No complaints!!

Pros: Breakfast was fantastic! A nice range to choose from and I liked that coffee/hot drink orders were brought to us. Bercy Village is about a 2 minute walk from the hotel and it is absolutely lovely! I enjoyed shopping there for my last minute gifts and there's a lot of restaurant options too :)

Pros: So close to Bercy Village with plenty of shops, restaurants and cinema. Metro close too, pretty much across the road. Not long to get to tourist attractions from hotel. Staff were exceptional! Requested a cot, and they brought everything we could have needed- baby bath, diaper genie, even a teddy bear! Very impressed. Concierge and lobby staff so helpful and spoke English really well. Large king bed, rooms spacious and very clean. Bar was just lovely too. The best service I’ve ever received when staying at a hotel!
Cons: Not much else other than Bercy Village to see in the area. Bercy Park was nothing to rave about.

9,0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel and the staff were very pleasant. The room was very clean. The location was a bit far from The Arc de Triomphe but we got to see the other Arch so that was ok
Cons: There was no mirror on the desk for hair drying . The hair dryer was not good as it keeps cutting out if you don't keep your hand clenched around it. It made my hand ache and this was not good as I have arthritis in that hand. It was extremely annoying. One of our dirty cups with a tea bag in it was left in the room after the first night. I could not understand why this was not taken away and replace with a clean cup. Also the cups are too small.
4,2 Okay

With a stay at Le Village Montmartre by Hiphophostels in Paris (Montmartre), you'll be a 5-minute walk from Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Paris and 13 minutes by foot from Moulin Rouge. Featured amenities include a computer station, a 24-hour front desk, and multilingual staff. A shuttle from the airport to the hotel is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours).
9,6 Excellent
Pros: It was well situated, clean, cozy, comfortable, friendly staff, and had a welcoming lounge area. The terrace looked great too, a fun place to go with a group of friends, or just as a way of meeting others.
Cons: There was very little I didn’t like about it, perhaps just that there was some road noise and sounds from doors closing elsewhere in the hostel.
9,3 Excellent
Pros: Really nice helpful staff. The bathroom was clean and the water was hot most of the time. Overall I was impressed with this place. I even booked 3 additional nights.
Cons: Location around it is a little sketch but wasn't given any real reason to feel unsafe.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Location is perfect. Clean, tidy and hospitality people
8,3 Excellent
Pros: We stayed in a two bedroom. Room size was okay for Paris. We even had a waterboiler and a small table. In other cities I would expect more space for the price. Everything was clean in our room and our own bathroom. I do not know the shared facilities.
Cons: I booked a two seperate beds over booking, but we got one doublebed. Therefore I requested a second blanket/duvet. Unfourtunatly the staff was not able to provide one. Real/reusable cups insteadt of paper-cups would be great.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Got stuck for an hour in their tiny elevator on our first day, not the best way to start a honeymoon. The receptionist did all she can to get me out, and though it took an hour, I appreciate all the effort she put in. This is my second stay at the property and I love most of it. The only thing we wish for is bigger showers. You can barely move inside their tiny shower stalls. (We stayed in a private room.) The location is amazing, staff is great, and the rooms are clean.
3,3 Mediocre
Pros: The location.
Cons: BED BUGS and horrible customer service! I have emailed their management twice already since the incident and I have not heard anything back. I felt like that the staff dismissed it like it was nothing. I checked out earlier, but since I paid for 3 nights online, they wouldn’t even refund me my money. One of the travelers mentioned possible bed bugs the night before, but instead of taking the situation seriously, they let it be! I woke up the next day with bed bug bites all over, and all I got was their manager was “analyzing the situation.” Upon looking around the room, I saw blood stains on the walls and on the sheets! Therefore, I’m sure this wasn’t the first time, and yet they were still renting the rooms out! Horrible customer service and bed bugs infested facility!
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location: metro station 5 mins walk, Sacre Coeur 3 mins walk. Private room clean and comfortable. Reception desk open 24h. Possible to leave the luggage in the hostel.
Cons: Very limited choice for breakfast, little noisy in the morning.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The location is great. We even got a nice view of the basilica! Close to metro stations - several lines accessible with 3-8 minutes walk to different metro stations. The staff is very helpful and friendly too. There is a very small lift which is better than some of hostels in Europe.
Cons: The hostel only provided a very thin blanket. It is getting really cold at night at this time of the year. The girls in my room noticed this too and we all think this could be improved especially winter is coming.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was perfect. Localisation, staff (lovely multilingual people who are willing to help you with everything!), atmosphere, terrace, comfort and price. Bathrooms were nice and everything was clean :)
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the vibe, a rooftop bar area and dining areas great! Location just awesome, just around the corner from the beautiful Basilica and great cafes. Clean, and well appointed with all you need.
Cons: Nothing negative to say here!
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Great hostel, we had a private room by a secluded patio upstairs which was really neat.
Cons: The location was exactly where we were looking for (Montmartre) but we were warned by our taxi driver not to go in an area that is a few blocks away. Coming back on the subway at night we probably took the wrong doors to get out and ended up right in that neighboorhood. Didn't feel safe. Right around the hostel, which was a quick 10 minute walk back was fine though. Very close to Église Sacré-Coeur which was beautiful (in the daytime).

6,3 Good
Pros: The location was amazing just 10 minutes from Eiffel tower and also full of very nice restaurants around. Staff was very friendly. The gym which was in a separate building was definitely a plus although it was like a hidden gem since it was not advertised anywhere in the room or reception. The car parking for 25 euros a day in the close by Auchan grocery was ok
Cons: The room was very small, no kettle, the tv was like from the 80's and very hard to use. There was a temporary issue with hot water not working in the morning for the whole building but the staff offered a complimentary breakfast as a pay back. Also weirdly enough the hair dryer was installed inside the cupboard and not in the bathroom. There was no proper hotel sign and from the road it is kind of hard to find

7,1 Good
Pros: No air conditioning in the room.
Cons: No air conditioning
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The rooms had a certain charme. (So old-fashioned it was cool again!) Quite street, we could sleep with the window open (hot day, no airco). Breakfast was ok even though the breakfast room was in the basement without natural light and somewhat gloomy.
Cons: Shower could use new appliances. Breakfast room (see above).
7,9 Good
Pros: Location is great. Personnel were so understanding and debonair.
Cons: Room was smaller than it seems on pics.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Small family hotel, quiet. Very close to conference center and metro. Supermarket also near but was harder to find. Very clean. Breakfast offered excellent coffee, fruits, expensive cheeses, you could boil eggs. Additional info: Transfer (taxi) cost (if booked in advance) for the distance "hotel - airport" was minimum 35-40 EUR one way (30 km=30 minutes). Taxi by the hotel offered a ride to airport for 50 EUR. That is more or less the common rate in Paris.
Cons: Breakfast was standard French - without cucumbers or tomatoes, omelettes. No warm food except eggs that you could boil yourself. No AC which would be necessary if you book in the summer - now in September it was OK just to open window.

Pros: The neighborhood is wonderful.
Cons: No air conditioning. The shower was tiny - so small I could not turn around nor bend over. Think of a coffin. The water pressure was much too low. The hotel Wifi was awful. One night when we returned, we has to ring a bell and someone was sleeping in the lobby on a small couch, very odd.
