Read the fine print--local rentals have limited miPros:Short line.Cons:The booking confirmation (on carrentals.com) stated 'unlimited mileage' but when arriving to pick up the car was informed that it was limited to 150 miles a day for local renters. E-Z rentacar did not honor the confirmation I received. It turns out if you do a few extra clicks in unlikely places when renting you can indeed find this information clearly spelled out, but it is not obviously displayed. The blame goes more to carrentals.com for presenting misleading information, but E-Z was not very effective at dealing with the issue. So, buyer beware, and go elsewhere if you live locally.Reviewed Sep 7 2016

Bad decisionCons:Bad decision picking this Car rental. They have only one shuttle, so it took a long time for pickup at the airport. Rental office is in a trailer very far from the airport. Upon returning the car, it took more than 45 mts for our shuttle to the airport to arrive! (luckily I arrived at the rental 4 hours before our flight so it turned out ok). And since the Rental office is in a trailer , no restrooms or coffee during this time. Rental office is in a trailer very far from the airport.Reviewed Oct 19 2015

Great until I needed help after rental returned.Pros:Customer Service at counter was great. No line when we went to San Diego location. Definitely worth the money. Despite awful customer service after the fact I would use again.Cons:I tried to get help regarding something I left in the car after we returned home. I was hung up on several times (yes I was extremely polite). My guess is these reps are timed so they didn't want to deal with a longer issue. When I asked a rep to call back if "disconnected" again he refused. The rep was so unbelievably rude I asked to speak with his manager. He refused to let me speak with a supervisor. I called the corporate office in Orlando to get the matter resolved. A week later no call back. While it was my oversight to leave something in the car, I am disgusted with their lack of help. The car was so cheap compared to others I would actually use them again in spite of this crappy service.Reviewed Feb 4 2018

Once and never againPros:Basically nothingCons:Car I had contracted for was not available, offered me a minivan instead, not interested, was traveling by myself and wanted fuel economy. Agent said that I could return the next day to swap out for something more appropriate, but, due to my schedule, it would have taken me a whole day's drive to come back for the swamp...As an alternative, I asked if I could swap cars in Phoenix, which would have fit my itinerary better, was told there would be an upcharge for such. Else wanted to upcharge me for a more desirable model, I declined. Stood my ground, eventually, an economy type car was returned and assigned to me. It was noisy, lacked cruise control, a/c was very weak, as in "no fun to drive". To make up for the inconvenience, I was told I would be given a discount from my original intermediate type car reservation, however, that did not happen, they just hit my credit card with the full charge for the larger vehicle I never go to drive. When returning the car, their station was closed, with zero indication as to when they would open in the a.m. like was posted on their competitor's return stations. When I tried to return the car to their Phoenix location, I was told it was impossible to drop the car off there even though their San Diego agent had told me I could do so if willing to pay a penalty for doing so - basically one of their agents lied, no idea which one. All in all a lousy experience, since I now have to file a complaint to get them to correct the charge to my credit card account.Reviewed Nov 9 2018

MisleadingPros:We booked the reservation online that stated in bold, Unlimited Miles. We were traveling from San Diego to Phoenix. Unfortunately, unlimited does not mean unlimited. Our rental price would have doubled due to a fee per mile after 150 miles. We chose not to go through with the rental as a result, which was extremely disappointing. This survey is also frustrating because I can't adjust the rating for each category. Overall, it was a poor experience.Reviewed Jan 18 2016

Frustrated!!!!Pros:They finally gave us a free double upgradeCons:The first three cars we ere offered were either dirty or had a cosmetic problem (a license plate that was falling off). Dropping the car off was very confusing with little assistance because a lack of personnel. Would not rent from them again.Reviewed Mar 10 2016

No car availableCons:I surprised my husband with a trip to San Diego to meet me there while I was in San Diego on business. He worked all day Thursday and was to pick up the car I rented for him at 11:00 p.m. When he got there, they had absolutely no cars which resulted in having to go to another rental facility, paying more money and spending additional time at the airport trying to find a car after a very long day.
