Dear , The underneath booking was done with a pick up time at 6 AM and insurance included but after I paid I saw that insurance was not included ! Second the car was not ready at 6 as the office opens from 7am. This meant I had to rent another car as I had a tight schedule to make that day. I would like to claim a full refund as the booking made promises ( pick up hour and insurance ) that were not delivered ! Could you please come back on this ? A charge of $350 for going 9 miles into Arizona is absolutely ridiculous! Not informing people of this until check in is just down right unacceptable! We have rented from many companies and NONE of them have had this rule. Tires started leaking air on our trip. We will NEVER use Payless again, and will make sure our friends, family and followers know of your way of practice! We were also told our car was in spot C17, and it was a totally different car, then had to wait for a long time to have them find our car, not the one or a comparable one, a pice of crap, scratched up, dirty, windows had some form of wear that looking like they had been sandblasted, and made looking out blurry. All in all highly dissatisfied!

I prepaid for vehicle but picked up 2 hours late. They said they gave away my car and tried to up-sell me to a bigger model at double the price. Ended up with there smallest car for the same price. Perhaps it was in the fine print but if I prepayed, why would the “give away” my car if I am delayed to pick it up.

This was a very poor experience for me, there was nothing I liked about it. Picking up the car started out poorly, their computer broke down, it took over 30 minutes to process the pickup. When I complained about the delay, the rep told me I was rude and arrogant, so I stoped complaining. They didn't have the car type I had reserved, he said I had to get a larger car and pay about $60 more. I agreed since I had no choice at that time. The car he assigned me was not in their parking lot! They said someone had taken it mistakenly! They assigned me another car but when I went to the car, I noticed it was very dirty (inside and out), there were cigarette burns in the driver seat, and very strong cigarette smell inside the car. I refused to take that car. They finally gave me another car that was better. However, after about 1 hour driving, a malfunction/warning light came on in the dash. I tried calling Payless but there was no one to answer. Luckily the warning was not serious and I was able to drive the car. Overall, this was a terrible rental experience. I will not book another car with Payless again.

This location is a literal scam. There are geographic restrictions on the “unlimited” miles that you can only find buried in the terms and conditions along with other hidden fees. I paid for a midsize and was given a small compact with no price adjustment (I was told that a Nissan Versa is a “midsize” car by their standards). The car had no power locks and hand crank windows. It also had significant damage already to the front end. I prepaid for gas and when turning in realized they had charged me for 14 gallons on a car that only holds 10.8 (this I was able to remedy) but it’s obvious this entire operation is a racket. Stay as far away from this place as possible, there are a ton of other rental options with shuttle service from the airport.

Alamo did amazing! It was when I tried to make some edits to my reservation through Kayak that I had some difficulties. I think the edits appeared on Alamos end but not mine and it left me very concerned so I booked an additional reservation. The Alamo agent was very helpful and understanding of my plight and was able to take care of everything.

My wife and I enjoyed the flexibility within the car choice category. The car we picked was very comfortable for the travel we scheduled. The only detriment we observed with the rental was that the vehicle had over 60,000 miles on it at the time of the rental.

I rented a car that had broken blinkers. Thought this was something they checked for before letting people onto the road. Could be dangerous and I would have been extremely angry if I had gotten a ticket or in an accident. When I returned it and told the attendant, they did not seem apologetic or like they cared.

So they offered me a 2021 MERCEDES or BMW SUV for same price!!!! Unbelievable. Super thrilled about the ease of getting out of the airport and for dropping off. I will for sure use Enterprise again. And Kayak had the cheapest prices too

Staff was super friendly at both the pick up and the drop off. However, I don't appreciate the fast talking sales person trying to upsell is a shady manner. Suddenly my one way rental jumped from $70 to $130 but luckily the customer service guy on the phone and the staff at the drop off location were super helpful, understanding and accommodating.Explain all the charges clearly and slowly and include actual pricing info instead of trying to just get the most out of every customer. People are on strict budgets these days and lack of transparency and not having the customers best interest in mind will cause you to lose business.

Counter experience was fine. Car options were good. Trying to leave and get on the road was a 20 min process; extremely trying- they were not letting the car in front of me leave and i was cut-off when teying to get in another drive thru lane. Other than that, the car rental went smoothly. They didn't try to upset me and handled it professionally and friendily.

We were charged an additional $811.00 at the end of our trip because we went through priceline and the incorrect airport in was selected. We flew out of Phoenix and priceline told Hertz Messa which was another airport 30 minutes away. I called multiple times and was told nothing could be done and that was apparently the difference in rate. That four days of car rental and drop off at Messa airport was $79 a day but 4 days plus drip off at Phoenix was $294 a day. Even the Hertz website said the price would be $63 dollars a day. I called to speak with a supervisor and they put me in a cue and never called.me back. I have currently been charged just over $1,200 for 4 days of economy car rental and was told that was the current rate when my rental agreement was for $407. I am going to the Better Business Bureau.

Took a whole hour to pick up the car because they didn't have enough personnel. Drop off was a nightmare. Drop off was inside Hilton but there were no indications whatsoever. To add insult to injury I was charged a late delivery fee because I was 20 minutes late returning the car while I wasted over 30 minutes looking where to go and 1 hour to pick up the car. Ludicrous. LAX must be a low traffic location because no one works on Sunday. I had to drop off keys and paperwork in a box and hope for the best.

The individual checking us in tried to sell us on a cheaper option to find out it wasn't cheaper and we had to go back to our initial reservation. It ended up taking us nearly 30 minutes to check-in for a reservation that we had settled online in advance.

Beware - smaller car was provided than was reserved (causing us to have a seat filled with luggage and luggage on our laps), and NO communication between the place you call and the rental locations. I was told I could stop by any location for an upgrade, but they couldn’t provide details on inventory, I had to physically go (and of course when I did, no cars were available).

The upsell experience was off the charts negative. The desk representative created a very negative sales upsell experience through fear, uncertainty and doubt about insurance, liability, gas, etc....leaving me not trusting him or Dollar at all and potentially adding over $500 in unnecessary fees at the start. At the end there were $87 in hidden charges that were not expressed in the booking process either. Both of these make my experience mediocre at best and left with the perception that Dollar is not a very trustworthy provider.

I was overcharged about $1200 from the agreed upon rate because, according to Dollar, I dropped the car off at a different location than originally stated, which is not true. I dropped the car off according to schedule about an hour before it was due. There was no employee at the drop-off site, and the instructions said to leave the keys in the car. So I did, and Dollar ripped me off by charging me over twice what I had expected to pay. After contacting Dollar, they refuse to refund me. I'm never going to them again.

Drop off is great but the pick up was HORRIBLE. we booked through Priceline and paid in advance. When we got to the counter we had to pay AGAIN (contested) even though I showed them I had already paid THEN we had to put down a security deposit (understandable but not explained in advance). After 45 minutes of the agent trying to complete the paperwork, we finally left the counter to pick up the car. When we get the the garage and look in space marked, it’s EMPTY. Searched all over garage and head back to counter only to be told it’s in another area of the garage - nowhere near where we had been told to look. Come on Thrifty, get your act together.

The car was an upgraded convertible (since a regular convertible was not available) and was in good shape and everything worked well. The staff were nice - we waited maybe 15-20 minutes in line and drop off was super fast and the shuttle was waiting to take us to the airport. I would definitely use Thrifty again!

Thrifty/Dollar's airport rental pickup line was L-O-N-G upon our arrival in San Diego. We had a long wait to pick up a car we had already reserved. Not enough people working the counters! The gal we had, though, was very patient and kind. But, even when we had already purchased third-party car insurance from Kayak, we were strongly encouraged to buy even more from Thrifty--an unexpected cost. That was irritating. Having finally gotten the paperwork done, we were sent to the car garage where it was very unclear as to what we were supposed to do! Aisles of categorized cars and so few people to ask for assistance. SO FRUSTRATING! We eventually found out we were just supposed to pick one out in our category! The Chevy Spark we picked out, though, was a great small car for the 2 of us--easy to drive, great gas mileage, could fit in tight parking spots, and great turning radius. However, the AC blower was wonky and did not work correctly all the time (and we really needed it while driving in the desert!). We really wanted properly working AC. Returning the car at J. Wayne Airport in Newport Beach was somewhat confusing, as well. We found out there were not enough people to do that job properly either--like properly checking the car for any damages. They took our paperwork and went off with it, with us not knowing if there would be any additional charges until they emailed us. Very frustrating, again. I guess the car rental companies just can't find people willing to work for them. They seem very short-handed.

Told by 3 different Budget/Avis employees where to pick up the keys and given 3 different answers, given a car that had already been assigned, was told to go back and wait in line again to get a new car and when I said that line had 10+ people waiting and she had none, the representative (obviously angry she now had to do 60 seconds of typing on a computer) didn’t say a word except to rudely yell the number at me when I didn’t hear her the first time and asked her to repeat it.

At pickup, I was steered toward a different car option than the one I booked. I was also pressured into pre-purchasing fuel and was told it would be cheaper than getting gas at a gas station at the end of my trip. That was not the case. A one-day rental ended up costing me over $300.

Rented through priceline. Received statement of an up charge of over $200? Added taxes into fees. I already paid taxes through priceline. Sounds like a class action law suit to me. Two entries should not be able to tax on one product. Now I waste hours of my time fighting with them on the phone! Never again Kayak. Thanks for nothing but hastes.

When I picked up the car, there was no windshield wiper fluid in the car so I had to go out and buy some fluid and have a mechanic put it in. Avis reimbursed me for the cost, but they should have checked the fluid before renting me the car in the first place. Also, they didn't do a good job of cleaning the car; there was some paper and stuff left in it from the previous renter.

The cars were great. The tank wasn't filled when I got the first van and when I returned they were trying to charge me. The lady in the El Paso location wasn't working and she didn't change it, but they were really accommodating. Also I never agreed to a 115 insurance for the second car and so I had to pay that, which I don't remember saying yes to.

Car smelled like weed, so much so that the valet at out hotel commented on it 2 days after we picked it up. It was terrible. At the drop off location the shuttle driver declared he needed to go on brake and left us there waiting for another shuttle. Car wasn’t clean and service was poor.

We booked a luxury car . According to the reservation we had to pay 330 at the pick up . We get there and the gentlemen at the counter tells us it’s going to be like 600 bucks . They charged me for damage on the car that I didn't cause. There are so many reviews out there stating that this is a common scam that they run. No one reviewed the supposed damage with me at drop-off, instead I had to wait to receive the accusation via email after I had already flown out of state and couldn't contest it in person. This is a very shady business and I would strongly urge anybody not to rent from them.

I recently had a rental from Sixt during my trip to San Diego and LAX. The experience was SEVERELY TRAUMATIC and a DISGRACE to your company. We picked up a Chevrolet SUV on 1/5. On 1/6, while driving up the Pacific Highway, we got a flat tire. We had a difficult time getting in contact with the representative (one hung up on us), and when we were finally able to have your faulty front right tire replaced, we were told that we would have to use the spare. The lovely individual who changed the tire to the spare was the only positive part of the entire Sixt experience (and he didn’t even work for Sixt!). It was likely a pinhole that split. We were told that the spare only could be driven 50 miles, while we were 58 miles from LAX, where we were supposed to trade out the dud vehicle. WHAT WOULD HAPPEN DURING THOSE 8 ADDITIONAL MILES IF THE SPARE DID NOT HOLD?! Additionally, we were told we could not exceed 50 mph for safety reasons on the California freeway. This was my first time driving in Southern California, and to have to ride in the right lane on a 6 lane freeway for 55 miles praying that the car would be able to get back to trade in with my elderly and sickly mother in the passenger seat was ONE OF THE MOST TRAUMATIC EXPERIENCES OF OUR LIVES, full of panic, stress, fear for our safety and lives. THERE ARE NO PLACES TO PULL OVER ON A FREEWAY IF THERE IS AN ISSUE! When we returned, the girl said the tear looked like it must have spread. We were given an “UPGRADE” to a Mercedes SUV when we finally arrived back. As we pulled in to return the car, the low air pressure light went on. Now, after returning the vehicle, I received a notification via email today from SIXT that your REPLACEMENT VEHICLE that was supposed to have been upgraded also had a FAULTY FRONT RIGHT TIRE. Frankly, your company is running a SCAM for customers. WE ONLY HAD EACH VEHICLE FOR 24 HOURS! HOW COULD THERE BE AN ISSUE WITH BOTH VEHICLES, FRONT RIGHT TIRE, WITHIN THAT TIME?! Are you buying faulty front-right tires and pawning this off on customers??? This is a SAFETY HAZARD!!! CUSTOMERS WHO RENT CARS DESERVE TO BE SAFE!!! Within 48 hours of our rental experience, BOTH of your vehicles that you have us had faulty front right tires. GIVING CUSTOMERS DEFECTIVE RENTAL CARS IS A DISGUSTING PRACTICE! This ruined our trip and caused severe trauma and distress to my elderly mother and me. We demand a full refund for this experience.

Very pushy attempts to upsell at pickup (vehicle category, transponder @ 11.99 per day whether used or not, CDW insurance…). Maintenance light came on as soon as we drove it. Fox lot attendant didn’t know why. Switched to another vehicle and later noticed it had 78k miles on it! Drove OK though.

We didn't get a car, despite our reservation. We made arrangements to pick up a vehicle at 10:00 at night, when we touched down at the airport. We took the shuttle out to the rental center, and the person at the desk informed us they had no vehicle for us. The only option they could provide was a much larger vehicle at twice the cost. In a rather suspicious turn of events, a man from a competing rental company came in and gave our clerk a hug then we were shuffled off onto him. He quoted us a price that was only $50 over what we'd originally reserved. The whole thing smelled like a sleazy kickback operation, but by then it was 11:00 at night and everything else was closed. We had no choice but to accept. We ended up not doing business with Fox at all, despite our reservation a month in advance.

My Fox car was paid in full thru Priceline before I arrived for pick up. Once I was there to pick up the car, we were told that they needed a major credit card to hold a $300 deposit on. I only had a VISA debt and MC debt with me so I was told I could not rent from them. I imagine, that somewhere in the fine print, this Sept 2021 policy change, was explained to me but obviously, this started out our vacation on an angry and frustrating note. Priceline did refund my money and Fox was able to find us a rental car company off property that would accept my VISA debt but at a much higher price and in a much smaller, sub standard car than what I had reserved and pre paid for. Lesson learned. I will travel with a VISA card in the future. Fox was professional throughout the situation and I would rent from them in the future if the car rental price is what I am looking for.

This was our second experience renting a car from Fox at San Diego airport. It is such a great, smooth operation with easy to access shuttle to onsite Car Rental building. The office for Fox was easy to find, easy to pick up the car, easy to return the car and get the shuttle back to the apart for our return. Car prices are high, so there’s not much that can be done about that. The employee was rather high pressure, trying to get us to pay for additional insurance coverage, and trying to get us to pre-pay a full tank of gas at much higher prices. This is also typical of most car rental companies. We stuck to our grounds, refusing both of additional insurance and pre-paid gas. Several gas stations are within a mile of the car rental place, and we paid over $1.00 less per gallon, saving us quite a bit of money. We will definitely use FOX again. HIGH RECOMMEND THEM!

It was simple to reserve the car/SUV online. Down sides were, you had to take another shuttle from the regular airport shuttle to the rental place. The other down side was after leaving the rental lot, the check engine light came on (it happens). They immediately switched vehicles out without any issues (appreciate that). Maria was very helpful. Actually kayak was fine. However, the car rental they suggested did not have airport shuttle, even though that was started. San Diego has restricted access to the main terminal for car companies. When you reach the RENTAL CAR CENTER, on a shuttle bus, you will find no counters for Mex or Ace. You must call them on a separate line and wait outside for THEIR shuttle. It was a little over and hour before I was on my way. This fact needs to be rectified.

The car rental service with Mex is fine; not at the level of satisfaction with Hertz but everything is decent and the car was clean. But Mex made a huge mistake partnering with KAYAK and especially Priceline. In fact, KAYAK and PRICELINE CHARGED ME the rental fee but when I went to get the car at Mex, I spent two hours to figure out that, 1. THEY DIDN"T PAY Mex at all so I had to pay Mex in order to get the car and it was $30 higher per day for the rental. 2. I had to call the customer service at Priceline myself, multiple times, but nobody there could say anything useful - Mex staff and I were both on the phone, neither of us understood what the poor guy was saying - and I told them I won't double pay for the car so I need to cancel the transaction. They said ok. But they still SHAMELESSLY CHARGED ME AND DIDN'T GIVE ME REFUND YET. I AM DONE BUSINESS WITH KAYAK AND PRICELINE AND I ENCOURAGE YOU TO DO SO. Booked a van pickup 5pm and drop off at same time 2 days later. The day off, 3 hours before pickup, I get a phone call from the location telling me I need to pickup an hour early because they decide to close at 4 “today”. Of fine. “Oh and also you need to drop off before 10am in 2 days because we will be closed at 10am”. “Or you can pay an extra $60 for late drop off”. What?? Late drop off would mean I extend pass my 24h, which I’m not!! If you decide to close early how does that become my problem?? Very disappointing.

Booked a van for 2 days w/ 150 mile per day. Arrived at location to be told that policies “of this specific branch” have changed and are now 150 “per rental” (!!!??) Long story short it’s obvious Non sense. Worker at location didn’t show any compassion and on the phone corporate couldn’t do anything because “we are reservation center and customer center only works week days”. Customer service non existent, bummer for loyal and respectful customers like us but I guess that’s the way it goes now.

I can accurately rate this—they never showed up to pick me up. I waited a half hour for the shuttle and finally had to rent another car because I had a meeting in another town. I sincerely hope they didn’t charge my credit card.

Poor attitude. Had to wait for an hr and dealt with screw you attitude from the front desk. The place was dirty and shady. The van was old (60k + miles) and dirty. It was conveniently near the airport so that is a plus. Most of all is the lady at the front desk who was awful.

We had a terrific vehicle for the cost.Didn't love that we had to go to the transit center for rentals & from there take another van (that we had to call & wait for). Also, we had to return by 2 or be charged extra to return it later to a different location (it was a Sat)- those were the only downsides to an otherwise great experience.

Never rent from this placeNothing.It was a bait and switch in that I seriously doubt they even own a Corolla or similar economy car. Granted, they weren’t going to raise the price....but then the car they were trying to give me (after an interminable wait) was actually a huge dirty van...that had very significant damage from having been sideswiped. We are talking major body damage. So yeah, no thanks. Place is godawful. And they have signs everywhere about how you really need the insurance because this would cost X and that would cost Y. (Maybe take the money you earned from the sideswiping job and spend it on the needed body work?). Pretty ominous, and give everything else I’d seen of this company...but yeah, trying to drive around the city (parallel park, etc.) in a huge damaged dirty van? No thanks.

Overall it was a great deal for the Van. Only we had to pay an extra $100 because we dropped it off in LA and I didn’t realize this until we made our final payment. The staff was very nice and accommodating during the pick up process. We had no problem riding the shuttle to the rental car area but it was a little confusing because the van rental is off site so we had to take another van ( which the number was there to call for a pick up) this might need to be disclosed in the advertisement.

Staff tried to talk us into a larger vehicle, getting their insurance instead of what I got online and convinced us to purchase a 4 day toll device by telling us there were tolls where we were traveling. Once and never againBasically nothingCar I had contracted for was not available, offered me a minivan instead, not interested, was traveling by myself and wanted fuel economy. Agent said that I could return the next day to swap out for something more appropriate, but, due to my schedule, it would have taken me a whole day's drive to come back for the swamp...As an alternative, I asked if I could swap cars in Phoenix, which would have fit my itinerary better, was told there would be an upcharge for such. Else wanted to upcharge me for a more desirable model, I declined. Stood my ground, eventually, an economy type car was returned and assigned to me. It was noisy, lacked cruise control, a/c was very weak, as in "no fun to drive". To make up for the inconvenience, I was told I would be given a discount from my original intermediate type car reservation, however, that did not happen, they just hit my credit card with the full charge for the larger vehicle I never go to drive. When returning the car, their station was closed, with zero indication as to when they would open in the a.m. like was posted on their competitor's return stations. When I tried to return the car to their Phoenix location, I was told it was impossible to drop the car off there even though their San Diego agent had told me I could do so if willing to pay a penalty for doing so - basically one of their agents lied, no idea which one. All in all a lousy experience, since I now have to file a complaint to get them to correct the charge to my credit card account.

Car was not cleaned out when I received it. There was trash under the seats, some wrappers in the trunk and side doors. It was evening when I picked up so I didn't notice until the next morning. The car smelled faintly of stale food, so they clearly did a poor job cleaning overall. The customer service was rude and impatient. At least the pick-up and drop off had reasonable efficiency.

Over-priced and dishonestPacific charged me twice as much as they estimated on Kayak. If that had been the extent of it, I may have left it alone. The day after I returned my car, however, the manager called to tell me that there is a "new scratch" on the front bumper. The car they rented to me was already scratched up, so I assumed he had gotten something confused and I could simply send the pictures I had snapped of the car before driving away from the lot. He sent me pictures of a car I'm not convinced is the car I rented, with a big scratch in the bumper, and asked that I have my lawyer call him. I have never felt so mistreated by a company. I'm certain that I had nothing to do with a scratch in the car I rented, and after consulting Yelp I noticed that Pacific has pulled this same stunt with at least one other customer. Do yourself a favor and stay far away.

the worstnothingWhen we got to the place we were being helped by a woman and she was going through all the information and everything was fine. then about 2 min in another man comes out and says "this is only for local, this is only for local." we were like ok and kept going. then the man starts to talk over the lady that is helping us and eventually kicks the lady off of the computer and takes over. The man ask if all I have is a debit card and I tell him yes. He then says there is a $600 deposit. Let me say that again a 2-day rental at $38 and he wanted a $600 deposit. Now my mom who was with me used to work at Hertz car rental down the street and knows the industry. I am in school studying to be a lawyer. I asked the man to show me ANYWHERE ON MY CONFIRMATION EMAIL OR ANY LINK WHERE THERE IS A $600 DEPOSIT. He could not show me anything anywhere. I hold his company Pacific and your company as well responsible for doing business with a company of this sorts. I hope that my treatment was not because of my skin color, but I still do not know why this man had to insert himself into my transaction in the first place, and he could not show me anything in writing in regards to a $600 deposit.

My rental car was dead at noon June 15, 2021 on our way from San Diego to Yosemite National Park. We contacted National roadside assistance and they couldn't do anything to help. We had to be in the middle of nowhere under the heat of 100F. After 7 hours stranded, the tow truck came at 7:30 pm to tow the car and left our luggage on the street. The taxi came at 7:45pm to take us to the rental car office, but the office was closed at 5:00pm. Taxi only offered to take us to the nearby hotel and it had to be under our own expense. I couldn't stay at the nearby hotel because I already sent my under age children to the campsite close to the Yosemite National Park with a group of friends when the car broke down. I had to pay my friend to come back from campsite to car broke down location to pick us up and took us to the campsite while the Taxi denied to take us because it was too far. We had to spend $200 to cover that pick up. The road side assistance had confirmed that their agent at the airport close to the Yosemite NP had a reserve replacement car for us, but when we came to pick up the car. They had no car available; We had to call RSA and stayed on the phone with them hours and hours, I was stranded at the airport from 9:00 am to 3:45 pm on June 16, 2021 talked to a whole bunch of different people to end up with the smaller SUV that didn’t have enough room for everybody in my family and the luggage. Half of my family had to split with other cars within our group of friends. The rental car has ruined my family vacation. We had lost 2 vacation days. Instead of enjoying nature, we have been stranded on the road or the rental car office. We had lost our park’s fee and the campsite’s fee for nothing; the stress of dealing with the Roadside assistant customer service that won’t be able to help much drove us crazy. On the top of those issues, I have been charged almost $54 for the gas on the Buick Enclave and they didn’t give me the credit for the gas left on the Infiniti QX80 when the car was dead and it still had more than ½ tank of gas. With all of those issues National only give me credit of $199. I was so frustrated with National. I will never rent from National or deal with Kayak again. The worst customer service that I have ever deal with.

The first car we were given had some type of mechanical problems. I wouldn't go more that 20 mph up a hill. This car was replaced with another car of the same type but older, with less features. We made due.

Quick pick up / drop off--aggressive on selling upgrade/insurancefast pick up/drop off. 24 hour shuttle service to and from airport because all rental company is housed at same location (San Diego Airport)Service agent at pickup counter was too aggressive in pushing additional insurance. Know what your personal policy covers and be firm that you do NOT want any extras (if that is the case)

Pretty goodRelatively quick pickup and processing, car was in good condition and performed well. Associate at the desk was professional and friendly. Car was newer model Hyundai.First, got charged an extra fee for extending the rental that was not mentioned even though I had explicitly asked in advance. Required proof of insurance at check-in, which I've never had requested before.

Inexpensive.The "rental car insurance" ads lead me to buy insurance while I was online reserving a car. What I didin't know -- Even with the reading of the clauses which are difficult to understand -- was that my own car insurance company would be the one I'd contact first before this one kicked in. (According to the clerk at Green Motion.) So I ended up buying the one offered by Green Motion, and wasted money on Allianz.
