Pros: The hotel was beautiful!! I was impressed with the quiet, sophisticated atmosphere. The location was great, right next to the marketplace, which was a convenience for picking up things I forgot to pack! It is a very short walk to the river. It was a little more than I usually pay for a room but I definitely would return and would definitely recommend the hotel.

Cons: Not really! other than the mentioned drink prices above. And I guess having to pay the extra parking car price (which I know is common for "city" hotels, but still would be nice to not have to pay it, especially since we did not use it at all!)

Cons: Check-in staff was a little stuffy, room window was beside auxiliary generator that came on very loudly while we were there, and a parking deck, NO VIEW AT ALL! Got a text ahead of time to let me know we would be getting a high floor with a view only to get just the opposite. The rooftop bar and restaurant was more of a tourist destination with the feel of a national restaurant chain. Due to the rooftop situation the elevator was crowded and slow.

Cons: French doors leaked so carpet was wet and showed signs of mold. Bathroom needed some attention, the ornate decor showed trapped dust. Marble floor and shower needed re-grouting or a bleach cleaning.

Cons: Our room was very clean and beautiful. The only problem was that our view was of the parking garage. We stayed in Charleston last year at the Mill House hotel and we had a great view of the city. Prior to getting to Charleston we stayed at the Hyatt in Savanah and had a garden terrace room on the fourth floor which had a view of the city and river.

Pros: I stayed at 3 different hotels during my Charleston/Savannah stay...one at the beginning, one in the middle & this one at the end of my trip. I LOVED this hotel! It was, by far, the nicest. The junior suite felt like home. The decor was absolutely beautiful. Comfy bed & room. Missed the complimentary breakfast & wine & cheese in the afternoon. Would have loved to try. Arrived late. Excellent friendly staff though at my late arrival. Great location near City Market. Hank’s is super close for a delicious dinner. Henry’s was also nearby for drinks or rooftop bar, weather permitting. Everything was very walkable. Don’t miss out on the cookies in the lobby...delicious! Will def be returning to this hotel again!!! Just HIGHLY recommend. You won’t regret it!

Cons: The bed was uncomfortable. The breakfast wasn't very good. There was mold on the bread one morning. Another morning there was no bread and other food wasn't being replenished. The cleaning staff and the valet staff were very friendly and helpful.

Cons: The noise from King Street kept us up all night. The walls were very thin and we could hear our neighbors every word. We also had to call and complain several times regarding the children running up and down the hallway of the apartment above us. It literally sounded like they were coming thru the ceiling.

Pros: The location is ideal for King Street and everything is beautiful! Front office manager seemed very willing to make customers happy yet fell through when reaching out after learning that our housekeeping issue had not been addressed.
Cons: We had some issues with housekeeping and were assured by the front desk it would be addressed. After coming back that evening, the bed sheets were tucked under with pillows left off and nothing else was refreshed including towels, etc.

Cons: I booked a double room with a balcony because I have 2 kids. I got a call before we arrived that they don’t have that room available and they would “upgrade” us to a king room with a pullout bed. We couldn’t get the room we reserved ahead of time and we also couldn’t cancel so we had to stick with the king room and pullout bed. When we got to our room there was only a king bed and no pullout bed, we told the staff and we had to take our luggage and kids to another room. Later that night my toddler found 2 bottles in a drawer, one of an empty Diet Coke and one full of chewing tobacco spit and after I took a shower and put the bathrobe on it was dirty. It was the most disgusting hotel and the staff did a terrible job at cleaning it. Room number 438 on January 1st to be exact just in case they want to try and see who cleaned it. Very unprofessional and dirty.

For the price of my room that was “upgraded” (that I paid for) I expected way more bang. The room was a decent size but the bathroom was tiny, the bathtub was clogged and backed up, the makeup mirror light didn’t turn on and part of the security latch for the porch that has access to the pool area was bent and wouldn’t latch. I found a hair in my bed that was definitely not mine or my boyfriends.

The Vendue puts you right next to the water, a 2 minute walk to the very beautiful and historical Rainbow Row, and walking distance to just about anything else you’d like to explore in Historic Charleston. This was a HUGE plus, considering we didn’t want to spend the trip driving everywhere. In regards to the actual hotel, the staff was incredibly kind from the moment we pulled up, the complimentary breakfast in the morning did the trick, the room was spacious, the bed was COMFORTABLE, and the structure/flow of the room and bathroom were great as well (fabulous water pressure in the shower, always a plus). Also, the rooftop bar didn’t hurt either, as we were able to see the most incredible sunset during our stay while sipping on drinks under heated lamps (it gets chilly in January!) Thank you for an incredible stay, we will be back!

Cons: The cleaning staff could (and should) be more attentive; when we first got into our hotel room, there was a q-tip (clean thank goodness) and a few strands of hairs left behind from a previous guest. But again, no scary stains, and everything else made the stay fabulous, so the 85% clean bathroom didn’t ruin our experience.

Television did not have a remote control so just a minor inconvenience for someone who likes to go to bed watching TV. Also an inconvenience was the website saying breakfast was available until 11am so my wife and I didn’t rush to get up and ready but turns out it was only available until 10 so we paid extra to get breakfast cost included in room fee then missed breakfast.

Cons: I did my search using free parking as a screen out. The Reservation even said that it was free parking, but I was charged for parking. Not only was I charged, but it was valet parking. I would have picked another hotel if i knew it was valet parking.
