Historic charm. Lovely room with two double beds on 7th floor with great view of Charleston. Very small bath. Friendly, helpful staff. Great location. Easy drop off/pick up luggage, valet parking available. We self parked at nearby garage, $18 per day. Free shuttles run every 15 minutes and can take you to Broad Street/Market areas.

The Francis Marion is an elegant old hotel. The furnishing are a little dated but clean and the room was very quiet and comfortable. The bathroom is very small but we left our toiletries on the large table in the bedroom and it worked out fine. Location is excellent and Charleston is beautiful. We walked a block away to La Patissiere for coffee and pastry every morning. I would stay there again.

Pros (+) Staff was amazing and very helpful. The on-site restaurant has wonderful breakfast!
Cons (-) Broken closet door in entry hall would swing into the path of the room door. There didn’t appear to be a vent in the bathroom. The 2 person elevator policy does not work when you’re at 100% capacity and it is busy.

Pros (+) Great location - close to shopping and short walking distance to restaurants and things to do. The staff was fabulous and the room was great.

Pros (+) We have a 1-year-old baby that needs space to move and the rooms were perfect for it. The hotel is not new, but they have done and do a great job maintaining the comfort, I love the way everybody treated us. I recommend this hotel 100%
Cons (-) The only thing I would have like to have was better mattress.

Pros (+) Great location, beautiful hotel but more importantly fantastic customer service. Our room was not ready at check-in and we were willing to wait a few minutes.
