Overall a good stay, room was clean, comfortable, a refresh of decor would be a plus, room decor/colors kinda' blah/meh.. would not let this deter from booking again.

Summary of reviews
Guests say
Guests consistently praised the hotel's excellent location, friendly and accommodating staff, and enjoyable breakfast offerings. Many reviews highlighted the convenience and walkability of the area, as well as the positive attitude of the staff. However, a significant number of guests expressed dissatisfaction with the cleanliness and outdated condition of the rooms and facilities, mentioning issues such as worn carpets, musty smells, and the need for renovations. While some appreciated the authentic or historic charm, most agreed that upgrades are necessary. Despite these drawbacks, the overall sentiment was positive regarding the staff, location, and breakfast.AI-generated from customer reviews

Great location. Rooms are in desperate need of a complete overhaul.
Pros (+) The fact that they serving food during Covid is commendable. The location is amazing!
Cons (-) Mildew smell in our room is utterly unacceptable and the nonchalant response of the staff once we raised is was very disappointing.
Cons (-) Cleaner
Pros (+) Great location Happy hour & breakfast included
Cons (-) Expected better Southern hospitality Breakfast food quality only okay and not great Needs to be recarpeted Price
Pros (+) The towels were clean and the valet was attentive.
Cons (-) The most disgusting room I’ve ever checked in. The carpets were beyond gross. The whole building should be knocked down. The shower tile grout was gross. i was scared to sleep in the sheets.
