Pros: Tyler was an exceptional hostess. She went out of her way to make reservations for us, check on restaurant availability and inquired about the safety of the areas we were traveling to within the city. There was civil unrest in Charleston during the time that we visited.

Cons: There was tension within the city the entire time we were there due to civil unrest. It made our stay uncomfortable at times. It was so disheartening to see the damage done to King Street due to rioting. There needs to be more done to protect the innocent during times like these.

Cons: They didn’t have the tea time as was advertised and people said in previous reviews so I didn’t like that . The courtyard was a little unkept and shabby and they should have sprayed for bugs .

Pros: Great location, within walking distance to shopping and dining (and I am not someone who likes to walk, so walking distance for me is pretty darn close). It was very cute, old fashioned. The house manager was so great-friendly, knowledgeable of the area, and I could tell she took pride in making my stay great.

Pros: Donna the manager went the extra mile through out our stay ...... there was alot of attention to detail and thought gone into the decor , the breakfast was superb and varied every day we were there, there was a bottle of Champagne waiting in our room for when we arrived which was a lovely touch , we would certainly stay here again and recommend to others

Pros: Great location, within walking distance to shopping and dining (and I am not someone who likes to walk, so walking distance for me is pretty darn close). It was very cute, old fashioned. The house manager was so great-friendly, knowledgeable of the area, and I could tell she took pride in making my stay great.
Cons: The curtains to the living area of my room were sheer and I would have preferred to not feel like I could be seen from the veranda. There were no blinds to close, so no way to fix the visibility issue. Parking was also much further away than I anticipated.

Cons: If I had one small negative ... there was a maintenance man making alot of noise from 6am on the last morning... we were hoping to sleep in as we had a long flight home back to Heathrow London

Pros: The property is a lovely 200 year old Georgian house. The decor is beautiful, and inviting. The staff were very helpful and engaging. My friend and I came to Charleston for a birthday girls trip. The inn was in walking distance of everything. We were able to park for free and walk anywhere we went. We loved it. Be sure to try the sherry in the red parlor. It’s delicious!

Pros: This is a an historic residence that is beautifully maintained and very clean. We had a private suite (“Angel Oak”) where were very comfortable. The residence is very conveniently located with restaurants and shopping within walking distance. The staff were pleasant and always ready to help.

Cons: Because of the pending sale, the inn keeper opt. Coupons for breakfast.l booked in August . Changed in coupons in October, l wasn't told till mid january.no time to make other arrangements. Crappy wat to do business.the people at the inn were great! Do everything they could .At 350 a night I don't like the bate and switch.offer a refund but plans were made.with the SEWE.in town no options available.thanks for nothing booking.com

Cons: Although there was only one other couple in the hotel we were right at the top up two staircases. We had to carry very heavy bags up two flights. We couldn’t really understand why we weren’t on the 1st or 2nd floors!

Cons: Didn’t like the fact the room was on the third floor with no elevator and no assistance with luggage. The staff member showing us the inn and showing us to our room made no attempt to even ask if he could help with our luggage.
