Pros: I can't say enough about how much I enjoyed this hotel. You have all the amenities you could want from a top grade hotel, paired with a friendly/warm staff who make it feel more like a boutique hotel. The restaurant on the first floor (Harry Sasson) was also great. I will definitely stay here again when I return to Cartagena!

Cons: I didn´t like that I was charged the full amount of my stay in advance yet when I asked to get my receipt, they said they will only give it to me at the end of my stay. I had to leave 1 night earlier and was still charged (I understood the terms and conditions), but not even 1 breakfast was given to me as a complimentary meal. Also, some additional charges were added to my bill, which I was then told I was able to delete if I didn´t want to pay them, but had I not asked what each item on the bill was, I would have never found out. That is not cool!

Pros: The hotel is positioned well, with nicely decorated rooms, the view of the sea is nice. The Lobby is poor with mildew and mold odor, I was in the 16 floor, the corridor stinks, there is a permanent smell of burnt frying oil, of fried fish, fried eggs at any given minute of the day. The same bad smell hits you when you go to eat breakfast. If you have allergies or have a bronchial issues you will get sick from this air quality. I will never recommend this hotel to anyone no ever go back there

Cons: No coffee facilities in the room. Swimming pool needs upgrade, so do the towels. Hotel is next to the beach, but to use loungers extra charge, also the beach is not relaxing as too many people trying to sell you things or are very pushy with offering different services...

Twin rooms on the ground floor also not good as bathrooms open up to floors above so you can hear every word of other hotel guests in their bathrooms above.

Very loud in our room due to openings in the door frame with no seals around the doors. 1/2 inch to an inch openings so much so light shining thru which of course sound flowed freely thru. Which meant noisy rooms. In addition maintenance was being done across the hall hammering and sawing noises!

Pros: The staff was amazing, super friendly. Check in was at 15, we arrive earlier and they gave us the rooms anyway. Everything was clean and tidy. Two blocks away from the beach and close to restaurants, drugstores and grocery stores.

Very loud in our room due to openings in the door frame with no seals around the doors. 1/2 inch to an inch openings so much so light shining thru which of course sound flowed freely thru. Which meant noisy rooms. In addition maintenance was being done across the hall hammering and sawing noises!

Pros: Hotel located in the very center of the old town so you can easily reach any historical attraction walking. At the breakfast apart from usual options you can find in any European hotel there is very tasty local food and a lot of fruits. Everything is super fresh. In the bar you can order coctails which are maybe the best I've ever tried. And the personnel is very nice. They helped us a lot during the stay, recommended places to go, gave us late check-out, and really helped when we were leaving to another place in Colombia and had problems with bus tickets. Fantastic staff of NH hotel is one of my best memories in Colombia.

Cons: The hotel could improve the status of some of the rooms that have a view on the street next to the hotel (& not on the Torre del Reloj). Those rooms are a bit noisy in the night and are not in the best conditions. The walls and some of the furniture is a bit old. Overall, amazing experience!
