Pros: First Class service! I unfortunately forgot some clothes when I checked out. But Rudi and the amazing butler service was able to mail my belongings to me all the way to Medellin. Thank you so much!. This property is top notch!!

Pros: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel - common areas are magnificent, staff is adorable and the breakfast is great (a buffet with plenty of choice). There is real attention to detail at this hotel. We wish we had been able to stay longer.

Cons: Taking into account how beautiful this hotel is, the room we stayed in was slightly small and basic for the rate charged (around 300 euros a night).

Pros: The Santa Clara is exceptional in every sense. The decor, the service, quality of the food, everything is always on point.

Pros: Wonderful and picturesque setting - the central courtyard might be the most beautiful setting that I've ever seen in a hotel... The pool was excellent and very large, with a good selection of surrounding tables and sun loungers for relaxing. The bed was also very comfortable and we enjoyed having a balcony included in our room.

Pros: The location is perfect to go around the center of Cartagena. The facility and the rooms are nice walking in the inner garden and around the facility is an experience. Breakfast has many choice and quality is good.

Cons: the hotel cannot be considered as a luxury 5 stars hotel. It is an good hotel for family too many people but if you are looking for privacy as 5 stars luxury hotels should provide, this in not the hotel. The hotel staff has to be trained more they don't have sense of urgency: they booked two restaurants outside the hotel but we had problems when we arrived in the restaurant the reservation was made by the hotel... Further we encountered the problem that the sink and the shower in our room it was not working properly so after so many complains the staff moved us in another nice room.

Pros: The building is beautiful. Beds were very comfortable. Swimmingpool is very nice.

Cons: The attitude was a bit arrogant. I am travelling with a friend native indian and at the door they kept asking where we were going (i could see that they were not asking others in that way and did not ask me the day before when i went on my own just to have a look). I thought it was all snobish and racist. The room was smaller than average I have seen in Colombia.

Pros: We upgrade and paid to have a room with balcony which had very good views.

Cons: No coffee facilities in the room. Swimming pool needs upgrade, so do the towels. Hotel is next to the beach, but to use loungers extra charge, also the beach is not relaxing as too many people trying to sell you things or are very pushy with offering different services...

Pros: It’s right across de beach, air junior suite was HUGE and the kids loved it, the has their own bathroom, room with tv, mini fridge, living room and dining room. We enjoined the balcony to watch the sunsets after a beach day. The taxis were really cheap from the hotel to the walled city 8k pesos and 15k to the airport.

Cons: It’s a little old but good taking cared of, the attention at the beach wasn’t really good, they made us wait long times but there are other options at the beach. Tons of selling people at the beach, but overall was great!!!

Pros: I loved the staff and very friendly and safe. The pool was over crowded but we weren't there for that. The room was clean spacious and view was amazing. People are friendly and helpful for everything, breakfast, lunch, dinner, spa, and front desk. We would stay again.

Cons: Only downfall was the pool hours where early and no hot tub and over crowded with children. There should be adult swim 8pm-11pm.

Pros: The hotel is positioned well, with nicely decorated rooms, the view of the sea is nice. The Lobby is poor with mildew and mold odor, I was in the 16 floor, the corridor stinks, there is a permanent smell of burnt frying oil, of fried fish, fried eggs at any given minute of the day. The same bad smell hits you when you go to eat breakfast. If you have allergies or have a bronchial issues you will get sick from this air quality. I will never recommend this hotel to anyone no ever go back there

Cons: Bocagrande area is boring but isn't the hotel's fault--the best food, bars, and atmosphere are in the historic or San Diego regions. Public beach is busy and there are a lot of peddlers . A lot of traffic nearby.

Pros: Great location. Very clean. Nice lobby and guests areas. Great pool and the view is very nice. The included breakfast was a nice bonus and there was plenty to choose from. The value for the price was very good. Even the transportation service provided by the hotel was pretty good, I would recommend using them whenever you need a ride. They are very reasonable and always friendly/courteous and very helpful.

Cons: Description of room said it had a coffee maker (one of the reasons I paid for superior room) but there was no coffee and even after asking the front desk to send it, it never arrived (they also said there may be a cost). Also, the water in the room is way over priced. I would expect a 5 star hotel to offer at least one complimentary bottle of water (and if there's a coffee machine there should be complimentary coffee).

Pros: The breakfast was amazing!! One of the best breakfast ever! A lot of options, fruits and the best part: the guys who make eggs however you want them and the healthy juices. We were sad the last day because we wouldn't enjoy them again.

Cons: There were hairs in the shower when we arrived and bad coffee, which is sad for Colombia; abd the Juan Valdez option that they provide in the room is decaf. Also, the beach that is in front is unbearable, all those street vendors harassing you, especially when you're with someone who looks foreign. We had to pay to go to one of the islands to get some rest and peace. Next time we will aim for a hotel with a private beach.

Pros: The location in Boca Grande is good. It is a 10 min ride by cab to the old City, so not bad. The room was very spacious.

Cons: The bathtub/shower was quite basic and not covered with tiles (but with cement), so it did not feel very hygienic. The sound isolation of the rooms is really bad (the door is extremely thin), so you can hear everyone from the corridor as if they were in the room. The staff was ok (polite but not overly polite). Most of them do not speak english. The breakfast was ok (nothing exceptional). The laundry service is too expensive. I don't know if it was overpriced because it was around New Year's eve but the price-to-value ratio was not satisfactory (we were offered much more for lower/similar price elsewhere (at least in Bogotta)).

Managed to barter him down to an acceptable price - wouldn't expect this of a good hotel. Tour's are very poorly organised and no one explains to you what is going on, better places to stay

Pros: The staff was very nice from the beginning! It was also in a central location that made it easy to get around the city.

Cons: The bathrooms door could not be closed or else it was difficult to open again. Breakfast was not the best but had a variety of options. Also the pool is under a shaded area making the water really cold.
