Pros: The hotel is beautiful and in a wonderful location inside the walled city. our room was very basic, in the wing by the pool. it was really nothing special - looked like any room with 2 beds but the beds were so comfortable. our friends stayed in a suite in the convent area and it was really beautiful. upgrade if you can!

Cons: Little to think of as it was such a great place to stay. They could stop people leaving items on beds to reserve them ( up to 3 hours in many cases so if full it would be hard to get a bed near the pool)

Pros: I can't say enough about how much I enjoyed this hotel. You have all the amenities you could want from a top grade hotel, paired with a friendly/warm staff who make it feel more like a boutique hotel. The restaurant on the first floor (Harry Sasson) was also great. I will definitely stay here again when I return to Cartagena!

Pros: The hotel is positioned well, with nicely decorated rooms, the view of the sea is nice. The Lobby is poor with mildew and mold odor, I was in the 16 floor, the corridor stinks, there is a permanent smell of burnt frying oil, of fried fish, fried eggs at any given minute of the day. The same bad smell hits you when you go to eat breakfast. If you have allergies or have a bronchial issues you will get sick from this air quality. I will never recommend this hotel to anyone no ever go back there

Pros: Breakfast buffet was very good with a wide variety of choice. All staff throughout the hotel were friendly and helpful. There is a stair lift between mezzanine levels that was very useful . Bedrooms were spacious and had a balcony looking over seafront. Plenty of small cafes and restaurants in the area although the restaurants in the hotel were good.

Cons: The sheets and towels were clean, but there was dust on furniture, the air vent was covered in dust and a broken window that did not shut in the bathroom. Water pressure in one shower was very low and we had difficulty regulating water temperature. The other shower was small and poorly set up as you had to be inside the shower to turn on the water which was uncomfortable to be in the cold water before it warmed up. There were no wash cloths. Beach chairs are hard plastic and not very comfortable.

Breakast is good and staff super friendly. Rooms at the rear, facing the pool are quieter and more private. We were spoiled by concierges Harold and Iris, and Diego the manager is always there to help!

Cons: Our room was fine facing the back but our friends had a room facing the street and it was very noisy. They heard the traffic and all of the maintenance vehicles all night long. They had to switch rooms and the second room was next to bar which was very loud as well.

Cons: Hotel charged us $300 dollars upon checkout for VAT & city taxes even though we booked and paid through KAYAK!! No bill was given!! Cons: The customer service from the point of check in was off. Our room wasn’t clean and had definitely seen better days. The price point was massive relative the experience we had. All in all a huge disappointment as we had booked in to give ourselves a treat for a few days.

Cons: Encountered some very unfriendly staff. If you want to get one of the hotel beach chairs, be sure to be their no later then 07.00 hours to reserve them, otherwise they (15 pairs with an umbrella ) are all occupied... leaving no other option to rent them next door (25000COP). Roof top swimming pool does.bot have umbrellas. Breakfast is good in buffet form, also here be early, or its crowded. Elevators are mostly crowded and not very clean. Don't expect an European 4 star, more a small 3 star.

Cons: A small pool, dirty space, the beach is ugly and full of street vendors. the food was repeated and of little variety. Colombian food was nonexistent. The trip to San Pedro's restaurant was terrible. The worst experience.

Cons: I need the invoice for my stay at the Hotel, at the front desk just gave a receipt. I was on business trip, I need the invoice to report my expenses. at the check out, they told me they don´t have the invoice, where can I claim one.

Cons: the resort it so old, it needs a lot of work the swimming pool too small and the only had one. I have stay at De Cameron in Panama and el Salvador and that's why we choose this one thinking it was going to the same. We made a very bad decision. very disapointed

Very loud in our room due to openings in the door frame with no seals around the doors. 1/2 inch to an inch openings so much so light shining thru which of course sound flowed freely thru. Which meant noisy rooms. In addition maintenance was being done across the hall hammering and sawing noises!

Cons: The dead bolt did not work on our door. The water went out for the majority of the day. The breakfast did not have enough food and did not replenish when it ran out. The fridge did not work.

Cons: Property is not old, but deserve better care, small things that could be fixed to make rooms and facilities more attractive. A lot of stain in walls, wiring not properly fixed and bathroom with broken parts. It’s just a matter of attention and effectiveness of management would make the place much more pleasant. A better tourism guidance would be recommended too, there is a desk in the lobby but we could not see its real interest in selling packages or giving advices.

Pros: The location is quite good in centre of Bocagrande. Even if you want to go to the old town a lot you can do it for 2500 pesos by colectivo, or bus, or Transcaribe BRT. I found breakfast adequate. I liked the largish pool on fourth floor. Finally the price was lower than other hotels.

Pros: Honestly the only thing good about this hotel is the location. Everything else is just horrible. It’s a low budget hotel but that doesn’t mean the condition have to be this way. The Lobby has no AC , I asked for a room with ocean view , I was given a room with the view of a wall. The rooms have no towels , no phones , no safety box. THEYRE INFESTED WITH ROACHES. The food is greasy. The elevators are dirty. The lobby smells like FISH. The towels they give you can barely wrap around your hips. The sheets are stained . They close the Pool at 6pm ..... like how does that make any sense whatsoever ? It was such a let down staying here. I didn’t expect 5 star service but at least a decent stay . On our second night we arrived around 12 pm to find a huge roach on one of the beds. Although seeing baby roaches prior my dad didn’t let me tell management (for whatever reason) but upon arriving and seeing that huge roach he killed it and said to relax it was our last night . But then another one in the bathroom and TWO HUGE ROACHES ON THE BED I SLEPT WITH MY SON . That’s when i said nope and went to the lobby. The guy was very understanding and offered to switch our rooms, he offered the one in front of our old one ... i said no. Then offered one on the 14th floor. Which was in way better conditions than the 10th floor. As soon as we switches and settled .... another roach on the wall. This place is disgusting and in need of serious renovations and maintenance. Will not be coming back

Cons: The building is tatty; in need of renovation. The room was too cold; no individual AC controls . I had to wear my fleece hoodie in the room. My room on 4th floor was noisy until 3.30am and the noise came from the hotel's own bar which played amplified music. Was moved to 9th floor after I asked.

Cons: THERE IS A ROACH INFESTATION AT THIS HOTEL The Pool closes at 6pm. The towels barely wrap around your hips. Mold on the windows. Broken glass in the bathrooms . No shelves in bathrooms . No phones in rooms No safety box. Bathrooms are not very clean.

Cons: The plumbing in the bathroom at the room we stayed need to be fixed, the water was leaking badly under the sink. The windows should to be fixed as well, was shaking noisily all the time under the wind and we had feeling that it would fall off. Got stress at night time bcs of that.

Cons: Our AC didn't work and we asked to get it fixed at least three different times. We got told those three times, after they said it couldn't be fixed right away, that we'd get a different room as per their policies. Nevertheless, we never got moved to another room.
