Pros: This was our third stay at one of the Walnuts Country house cottages in 3 years. As always the cottage provided the perfect place to have a calm relaxing time and Steve's hospitality was great! The hot tub is always very clean and ready to use on arrival and the fire was lit, creating a warm cosy atmosphere. We will probably be back!
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful character and seclusion. Definitely not a typical bland experience.
Cons: Can’t think of anything that was a downside.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful in every respect with the “WOW!” factor throughout the apartment. The ornate 4 poster bed is even more glorious than it looks on the website. The high ceiling & bare beams create an amazing ambience together with the tasteful decor and antique furniture. The warm welcome and helpful advice was exceptional. All the special touches made this an excellent choice for a birthday treat. Not going to mention them in detail so that you’re in for lovingly indulgent surprises when from the moment you enter this character home from home.
Cons: Extremely minor quirks that made life a tiny bit challenging for an older person with difficulty stretching. The extremely well equipped kitchen has a corner sink which is difficult to use if you’re under 5’3ft or have stiff limbs. The upper shelves of the cupboards were also very high. In an otherwise gorgeous retreat these are tiny niggles that by no means spoiled a short stay.

9,0 Excellent
Pros: As a woman staying on her own l felt safe
Cons: There was a lack of storage space.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: all good for an overnight business trip
4,0 Okay
Pros: Good location.
Cons: Room was OK. WI-FI not good in my room and since I was there on business and working then needed internet access, as such the reception staff moved me to another room. Room that moved to was better from a connection point of view but the TV did not work properly, remote batteries going, TV picture poor with a line running along the screen (just gave up at this point, didn't want to complain again). Bathroom needs updating. So not a good experience. £85.00 per night seemed very excessive and not good value for money at all, wish i had stayed at the Travel Lodge down the road for the same price. Also when sorting problem at reception another guest asked the cost of staying another night and he was quoted £59.00, so felt slightly ripped off. Wasn't asked on checking out if my stay was good otherwise would have told them.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Good service.
Cons: All good.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly, helpful staff. Food was good, room very comfortable.
Cons: Nothing.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Room very clean, breakfast was good.
Cons: No socket near the mirror in the bedroom, so couldn't see when doing my hair. Reception desk wasn't manned, had to wait for ages for staff to check us in. Shower very slow
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The bedroom was clean and quiet at night.
Cons: No toilet brush or towel rails in the ensuite toilet. Glasses for the fruit juice were not as clean as I would expect - needed to be polished. The chairs with arms in the dining area would not go under the table restricting closeness that you could get to the table. The 25GBP has not been refunded as of 17.27 today. I was told at reception that it would be cancelled out and would not show on my credit card bill.
6,0 Good
Pros: Location good for my hospital visit. did not have breakfast.
Cons: The food chosen from the standard menu was lamentable, basically junk food served on an ice cold plate. Hot food must be served on a hot plate!!!.
