10,0 Excellent
Pros: Staff very accommodating. Room very comfortable.
6,0 Good
Pros: Check in and staff pleasant experience. Location on Beacon was wonderful. Came and went without bothering anyone. Breakfast foods available to take back to your room (cereals, juice etc) and coffee all day.
Cons: Room amenities could use some freshening up. With that said it appeared that other rooms had nicer amenities with updated bathrooms and fresher appearing linens. I would have liked a mattress pad on my bed. No privacy for folks on that first floor. One can hear every cough etc if in lobby area.
8,2 Excellent
Pros: Location, convenience, old building, easy and clear check in and out, cleanliness
Cons: Beds were bit soft for us.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff very friendly and helpful. Very clean and nice.... it was mine and my daughters first time to Boston , Ma The owner was so nice gave us areas to go and eat, walking areas. He also gave us directions to get to Fenway for the Friends POP-Up and told us how to take the T let us leave our vehicle to come back and pick up because parking so expensive there at Fenway even tho we checked out. I would recommend this place very friendly and family oriented environment.
Cons: Parking very small and you have to pay extra to park but it’s worth the money.
5,0 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: Everything. Inn was centrally located. Inn is old. Heating was a radiator type which couldn’t be controlled and then stopped working at all. All loose non working doorknobs. No soap in bathroom or staff to request any. Breakfast area was without a table with a few frozen pastries and filthy microwave. Was supposed to stay two nights and left after one. Am seeking a refund.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: The coffee was great!
Cons: This wasn't an issue for me, but they definitely should make it clear on their advertising that the property isn't wheelchair/mobility aid accessible.
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The Inn was just what we were looking for. The room was big and had just about everything we could need (except an iron).
8,3 Excellent
Cons: Breakfast is so small, and there is not space where to seat down to eat. It’s better to call it open snack . Snacks, coffee and tea are provided 24/7.
6,0 Good
Pros: Is quiet hotels and the staff would like to provide their suggestions for you to go.
Cons: Nope
4,0 Okay
Pros: Breakfast coffee was good, as was the bagel. The room had great ambiance. Walking up 4 floors was a little tedious. The noise from the trolley line on Beacon street was minimal and not an issue. Lovely building, lovely neighborhood.
Cons: The smoke detector in the ceiling (out of reach) announced every 2 to 3 hours that its battery was low, interrupting our sleep each time. As the B&B isn't staffed after 9 PM and the problem didn't arise until 11 PM there wasn't anything we could do about it - very frustrating! $30 a night parking fee was a bit steep.

Pros: The location is good
Cons: Bed bugs, please do not stay in the boston tea party room its a waste

9,0 Excellent
Pros: The location with the commuter rail right outside was fantastic. It was like being able to drop in on a friend's to crash. The room we had (bathroom off the room) was fine. A little unconventional going thru the bathroom to get to the main room. But room was large and nice.
Cons: The shower experience was terrible. The water temp fluctuated between scalding to cold.

Pros: Breakfastisnicebuteggscouldbebetter.
Cons: Noisefromthefloorandfridgeisannoying.
1,0 Poor
Pros: Location was great and it was clean
Cons: Creepy, creaky and cold. From reviews I can see some people loved it I was not one of them. I look for quirky but this place felt more lazy in decor then designed. Our first night was freezing and our 2nd and 3rd absolutely equatorial. On arrival we were greeted by an envelope on the front door which contained our key, invoice and of course personal information. That was weird, cold and to be honest not appropriate. I value my privacy. The staff we met were nice and apparently the owners live in the basement. Of our three nights we slept so badlly.the creaking floor boards and unregulated heating was a nightmare. And I mean that. Old homes creak but this felt like it should have been noted to prospective guests in advertising. It was awful. We stayed in room 13 also referred to as The Captains Room ( for absolutely no reason apparent to us). I advise asking specifically that you do not get this room. Every movement creaked. It became embarrassing and by day two felt like nails on a chalkboard. Breakfast was mediocre. Yogurt, boiled eggs paid on the table, store bought English muffins Great location, very easy 20 minute train to the commons. Nice town. Would happily return but really sorry I spent three of a ten day trip in this guesthouse. It was impersonal, parts of it looked like the set of the Shinning with three adorned headless mannequins halfway up the stairs and between the cold, heat and floorboards it is impossible to reccomend. We were sorry for our money we hadn't booked elsewhere. It was clean

5,0 Okay
Cons: The room was TINY. Only one of us could manage to get to the other side of the bed as you literally had to duck under the tv while climbing over the foot of the bed at the same time. Our room wasn't ready at 7, which is well after the 4PM check in time...
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The room was lovely but no view.
Cons: Nothing
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Very central to everything loved the ambience and the rooms were awesome
Cons: Breakfast quite expensive at this hotel
6,0 Good
Pros: Bed was comfortable. Soap smelled great.
Cons: My room was changed to a different room when I arrived that I didn't ask for. I already payed online. It was made seem like my room was changed to something better when indeed it was worse. Bigger bed. But we lost the use of the bath tub and space. We had a very small stand up shower. I had a romantic night planned for me and my significant other and we couldn't do what we wanted. Was also charged 140 dollars with out any explanation or anything. Highly disappointed.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great location and classy.
Cons: The surprise $28. Fee for the spa, gym and wifi we did not used.

Pros: Good location
Cons: The restaurant/ lounge in the lobby area was very bright and open which did not make it very private or inviting.

Cons: nothing
5,0 Okay
Pros: modern design
Cons: Shower was 18 inches wide and physically could not wash my hair without spilling over on the floor or turning sideways. It was like trying to take a shower standing on a milk crate. Ridiculously small shower. Worst shower I have seen.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: LOCATION!!! Staff and Room Decor were fantastic!!
Cons: Not a big deal but getting into the room was a little tight as the door was right next to the night stand. Once we were in the room, although room is small it was more than sufficient for the two of us to have a relaxing weekend in the city.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The location was fantastic
Cons: The size of the shower is ...well...micro. I m not sure many would have minded an extra foot being used for shower space. I m not a huge guy but that was the only downside to the experience.

Pros: History and staff
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Very Good location
7,0 Good
Pros: The hotel itself was very cool. Probably the best parts about it were the bar on the main floor (lots of great cocktails and snacks, open pretty late), and the location (right in the Financial District, close to both Faneuil Hall and Boston Common).
Cons: The room (double bed room) we were in was VERY small. It was advertised to be able to accommodate 2 people, but it would've been much more comfortable for only 1 person. The bed was basically a glorified twin, and the bathroom was pretty cramped as well. Not necessarily worth the amount we spent.

10,0 Excellent
Pros: The pillows were amazing!
6,0 Good
Pros: Thought the staff was efficient, experienced and helpful. The bed, bedding, towels and toiletries were nice.
Cons: Did not have breakfast but did have room service from the Market, which was inferior. The toilet flush was extremely loud, usually not an issue, except if other folks were asleep flushing was intrusive. The furniture, other than the office / desk chair was fairly uncomfortable. The HVAC, which looks like a retrofitted system, was loud and constantly blowing air. There was an old unplugged refrigerator just sitting on the floor next to the other refrigerator. Did not prefer viewing all the Hotel services, menus, etc. on the TV. Would prefer written material. In Hotel dining options very limited and sub-par.
10,0 Excellent

Cons: The staff was a bit dismissive, but also the beginning of Covid-19. The valet was not helpful until after I checked in, but had to park car basically at the garage and carried my own bags back to the hotel to check-in.
5,0 Okay
Pros: Location was right next to the convention center with the conference I was attending, and plenty of food and drink options near by.
Cons: Hotel could use an upgrade, it's looking a little shabby (I've been there many times before). The worst part was the comforter on the bed was quite soiled and needed to be tossed aside before I could get into bed. Gross.

9,0 Excellent
Pros: Checked in at 11pm they were friendly and professional.
Cons: The negative was that room service closed down at 11 pm. For a major hotel chain located at a major airport, I would have hoped they would have offered later room service. We got a Grub Hub delivery...not the end of the world but a bit of an inconvenience at that hour.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Location is perfect for early morning flight or late night flight arrival. It is not located close to city center. It takes about 30 mins or more for city center. However, there is shuttle from hotel to train station. Room was clean and big enough.
Cons: When I came back to hotel after going around city, I had to wait about 20-30 mins for the shuttle. They did not come, so I took a airport bus to terminal and walked to the hotel.

I liked that when calling an elevators, the computer screen would tell me which one I should take. The location was excellent, very central.
4,0 Okay
Pros: Great location
Cons: The worst Marriot I have ever been! While I booked a higher level double-beds room, the front desk lady, Eva, gave me a 6th floor room. She didn't aware she was wrong until I asked her. Then she gave me a room on the top floor. HOWEVER, I OPENED THE DOOR AND FOUND THAT ROOM HAS ANOTHER GUEST ALREADY! So I went down again to get my room. this time another woman with no name tag deal with my problem, She just have cold face, say sorry perfunctorily, and told me they don't have two-beds room for higher floor. I was irritated at that time, and she ROLLED HER EYES TO ME. It was late that day and I need rest, so I finally checked in with a two-beds room in the lower level. Actually they charged extra $10 per room per day for the higher level, but they even FORGOT TO REDUCE THAT PART OF FEE. The whole check-in procedure really made me feel disgusted. Not discrimination or racist, I guess the second woman is Latin American because she has black hair, Also, the old man at the checkin desk is also arrogant and rude. While my friend and I came to the desk and havn't say a word, he just point to another place and said "go there " and ask another people to talk to us. Overall this experience with Marriot made me deeply disappointed and worried. Their room keys are electronic cards, which means everyone may face the same situation with me in Boston, you opened your room and found a man in the room, or you just finished shower and came out then find out a stranger is in your room. If you want to be treated nicely, then find another hotel, Marriot is not for you.

Pros: Very convenient location and spacious rooms. Staff was very accommodating and went out of their way to help with any issues that arose.

9,0 Excellent
Pros: The inn is beautiful. Our room had a lovely fireplace, beautiful light fixtures, comfortable beds. The bathroom was small but nice, with granite countertop, good water pressure in shower, and meticulously clean everything. I love when the toilet has that little strip of paper across the seat so you know it’s just been scrubbed. The communal kitchen was also a bonus. I cooked a big breakfast for my teenaged volleyball-playing son and his two friends both mornings that we stayed here. We brought our own groceries and were able to leave everything in the refrigerator (labeled with our name and room number — nobody touched it). I loved this kitchen. The gas stove was fabulous, the refrigerator was spacious, big dishwasher, beautiful granite countertops, every pan I needed, coffee makers for regular and decaf. One of the bowls was chipped and I could not find a whisk (I survived), otherwise found every single thing I needed. The dining table in the adjacent room was enormous, and there was another small table as well. Also, the Inn is located in a great neighborhood, with a big family-friendly park/playground behind it and a fantastic Caffe Nero leas than half a mile away (an easy walk).
Cons: Hmmm, really trying to think of something... if I was being picky, I’d say the rooms were not totally soundproof. we were lucky to stay with low-key travelers who were respectful and quiet throughout our stay, but a few rambunctious guests might change all the good vibes.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were incredibly helpful at accomodating my late arrival and answering all of my questions.
Cons: The layout was a little confusing and, with rooms opening on the outside, it felt more like a motel than a hotel. However, this did not bother me in the least as I felt entirely safe and well accomodated while there.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The place was beautifully decorated, centrally located, and was very clean
Cons: If you have room 11 or 12 those are RIGHT next to the front doors and the main office. So you'll get a lot of noise throughout the whole day, and even into the night as people are arriving late. I just wish I would have gotten a heads up about this beforehand so I could have brought some earplugs!

Pros: The location is very good for easy travel into Boston

Pros: The stuff
Cons: I was n the last floor and I had to take to many stairs up but I liked it
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The location with the commuter rail right outside was fantastic. It was like being able to drop in on a friend's to crash. The room we had (bathroom off the room) was fine. A little unconventional going thru the bathroom to get to the main room. But room was large and nice.
Cons: The shower experience was terrible. The water temp fluctuated between scalding to cold.
