Cons: That there were two lifts out of order at the time we visited. We waited for 10 mins on a couple of occasions as the ones that were working were full. We couldn't walk down the stairs as we were on the 10th floor so think it was a bit of an issue for quite a few people.

Cons: The TV didn't work. Reported it and was told it would be fixed later, came back 6 hours later from the Stallone event and still wasnt working. Iron was cheap and spilled water all over the clothes. I got a replacement later before going out. My partner went to the bar to get a coke and me a beer after the Stallone event. I nipped to the toilet she was still stood there when I got back and she explained that the staff served 3 new customer that came to the bar after her. There was two staff on and about 3 sets of customers when I came back to the bar. My partner was going to go back to the room. I went and spoke to the bar staff and explained the situation and they then did server me. My partner found the bar staff rude. Due to the big event being on we had to wait for 5 elevators opening on our floor before we could get down to the event. We had platinum tickets so you can understand how annoying this was.

Cons: The parking was a problem, however this was explained before arrival. There were two lifts out of action but for a busy hotel such as this on an event weekend it left us waiting for up to 10 minutes for a lift. Fridge in room was not stocked given there were two of us there was only one of everything including the bathroom shampoo and shower gel.

My husband organised flowers with reception and they also gave me a card, cupcake and decorated a plate with the words ‘Happy Birthday’ and put a little brownie on the side. It was really lovely and did not expect it at all. The hotel really goes out their way if you are celebrating an occasion whilst staying with them. This is our second stay with this hotel and we would defiantly stay again.

HDMI ports on the TV are readily accessible. It is fairly simple to plug-in a Google or fire stick and live stream Netflix Amazon prime or any other streaming media directly through the TV and Wi-Fi connection. If you do so please be aware that any other hotel user doing similar is able to broadcast wirelessly to your TV using their own equipment as I discovered at roughly 1 AM on the second day of my stay. Cons: - Despite the glossy video of a mini being parked in the Cube automated car park, Minis cannot actually be used - they're the wrong width apparently. - On arrival I was informed that my booking didn't exist. It turned out that Reception had already booked me in and out by mistake before I'd arrived. - Lifts: you cannot access floors 23 and 24 unless you have a key card. Put your key card into the slot and then withdraw it before you choose either of the two floors. Reception didn't bother to mention this, and I had to use the stairs. - After getting into the room, the first time I left my key card stopped working, locking me out. - Wi-Fi access is completely unsecured with no password required and all logins and passwords are open to be collected by any passers-by. - When I booked in was told I had breakfast as part of the room. As this was same guy who didn't tell me about the lift key card thing I rang back to confirm with the night desk, who again assured me that breakfast was included. I put the breakfast tag on room handle about 1am... Their limit is apparently 2am, although this isn't stated anywhere) for delivery by 10am. 10.15am, no breakfast and room tag is still there. Rang Reception who got my order to the restaurant, who then told me breakfast WASN'T included in the room. Honestly not sure if this is actually a scam. - Be aware that directly above your room are two bars and one nightclub, which close at roughly 2 AM. Both are extremely popular. There two lifts which service for both bars/clubs and all rooms. Each holds roughly 10 people. When I arrived one was out of order and could not travel to the floors with rooms, but to be fair was fixed soon after. There were substantial queues throughout however. - Sheets and towels are uniformly uncomfortable. Imagine drying yourself with a pumice stone. The linen reminded me of being in hospital or cheap school beds.

Cons: Our first room was extremely hot with virtually no aircon. We asked to be moved to a cooler room with aircon which was much smaller in size so I felt very much short changed being given an inferior room. The phone in room 2 did not work, we were made to wait a significant amount of time to be offered an alternative and the mattress on the smaller bed was very soft. I am shocked the hotel only has 5 king sized beds which we lost because room one was as like a sauna. Me and my partner was extremely underwhelmed. I would not be willing to recommend this hotel at any stage unless they improve their accommodation and facilities. :-)

Cons: The hotel is run down, poorly maintained, poorly managed. It needs a complete renovation and is not anywhere close to what a Crowne Plaza should be (I have stayed in several in various countries). This is the worst Crowne Plaza I have seen.

Cons: I thought the cleaners were a bit noisy in the morning as they started cleaning the rooms at around 8 am. As I was there for business, I was waking up quite early anyway. But on the last day I wanted to sleep a bit longer as the check-out is until 12 noon - didn't mange though.

As much as we liked the creativity, we found that it was too small and not able to open the windows /lack of fresh air is NOT for us. And we didn't reliase there is no kettle in the room! and the bathroom was too small, when the shower is used, the whole bathroom (toliet) etc gets too wet. As there is not much room.

Cons: Incredibly small room, with a pod/wetroom for the shower, sink and toilet. Having a shower meant hosing down the toilet, sink, towels and loo roll, which is strange. Also, transparent doors for a bathroom in a tiny room is a very odd choice of arrangement. Not for those who ever want privacy in the bathroom... They wanted to photocopy and hold on file my passport details, which is totally unnecessary and unsafe, and only offered a much smarter option of verifying my identity via my debit card after some discussion. I have to say they were very polite and friendly, it was just a mad policy I totally disagree with.

I appreciate that there are bars etc there and I would have accepted noise until about 2am however the noise stopped at about 530am, half an hour before we were due to get up. there were car horns going off for over an hour in the early hours and just general shouting and drunken behaviour. I appreciate all the hotels on Broad street would be the same however I would not stay anywhere on Broad street again as the whole family did not get any sleep. looking on trip advisor this seems to be a problem. Maybe you need to speak to O'rielys bar, all of you as you will lose customers. the noise levels were so loud all night.

Cons: The room seemed really clean except for the floor. It wasn't exactly dirty, it just didn't seem like it had been swept properly.
The shower unit was a bit weird as it is separate from the toilet and the door is opaque and opens up right into the bedroom. This wouldn't be a problem for a solo traveler or a couple (to be fair this was a room with only one double bed) however I'm sure in some situations this would be awkward.
However, these are really minor things and really didn't bother me. The pros definitely outweigh the cons for this hotel.

Pros: Absolutely terrible hotel - dirty and really sub standard. Everything about it from the area to the rooms was really awful. Very disappointed and certainly wish this was more obvious when booking as the pictures do give a misleading impression of what you get.

Cons: The hotel was dirty, the bathroom, the bed linen, the walls. I slept fully clothed on top of the covers with the towels as the duvet as they were the cleanest option. Would not recommend to anyone

Cons: The decor needs work - whilst the entrance and bar area have clearly had a face lift there little else up to any modern day standards. The beds in the room reminded me of the cheap mattresses you get on the single beds in caravan holidays - I think i would have been better off sleeping in the car. Whilst the breakfast was good be advised but theres clearly a demand on bacon and I'd get that in first if you stay there. I had finished my breakfast and had two coffees before the new tray of bacon turned up - 20mins or so

Cons: 1 out of only 2 Elevators was out of service for the whole 3 days! Long waits. The remaining elevator at times had erratic functioning.

Cons: My first room was unbearably hot with no air conditioning, fan or even a window. I then asked to be moved to another room which in turn smelled badly of cigarettes. The room was old and dirty. Wifi is only available in the lobby and reception areas. Breakfast was overpriced for what it was and I wish I’d gone to McDonalds for breakfast instead. I wouldn’t stay there again even at a low price.
