Pros: The location being so close to the city centre
Cons: The rooms were small and it was expensive for what was on offer. Whilst the staff on reception were competent, there was not enough resource available for both checking in and checking out. The entrance of the hotel is beautiful, but the rooms don’t really offer much more than a premier inn.

Pros: The hotel itself was nice on arrival, the concierge were amazing too, Dave and his co-workers go above and beyond to help you get in and work your way around the city!
Cons: Unfortunately we had a few problems. Checking it was a nightmare, we weren't warned that we would all have to pay an £80.00 deposit. We booked 3 twin and double adjoining rooms as we were a party of 7 for a friends 30th birthday. The rooms weren't adjoining, one was a few floors higher. After speaking with the manager he managed to rearrange us and put two rooms adjoining which was good. The hotel said they would put balloons and a chocolate platter in my friends room for her birthday but they just put a couple of balloons in. Even after asking where the rest was. It's a shame because the manager was really lovely to deal with but I don't think other staff were willing to work with him. The new rooms we had smelt really badly of damp, I'm assuming because there is no way of ventilating the rooms as the windows don't open, the base of the window on the floor had a full blown pool of water from the condensation. We put up with the smell to try and not let it ruin our weekend. On the saturday we went out for the evening, when we came back a few of us were hungry so ordered a couple of pizzas in the foyer from the night service. It wasn't until I had entered my pin that we realised the price of £72.00! Which I asked to cancel immediately and the member of staff seemed to take it personally and started being rude. They confirmed I would have a refund of the amount of £72.00- it's been a week and still nothing and after numerous phone calls the refund STILL has not been issued. We had issues with payments, more being taken from some and less being taken from others which caused a lot of confusion. Our bathroom had a fair few hairs lying around- even on the drinking glasses which we swerved. We tried the spa but some of the facilities were out of use. It's a shame as after reading reviews we had high hopes of a lovely stay here but that never happened.

Pros: Room was comfortable with a good size flat screen telly. Bed was comfortable as well. Hotel bar was very nice & with a relaxing ambience also.
Cons: Very minor points: The room could have been a touch cleaner, along with the bed having not been made properly. Bathroom more compact than I had envisaged. Bar staff not giving the full 30% discount when they should have been.
5,0 Okay
Pros:
Cons: I had to wait in a long queue for check in. There were four reception stations available, but only two receptionists working at the desk. A very rude customer stood in front of me and was served before me. When I challenged the customer, they were very disrespectful towards me and told the receptionist they should have security here because I challenged them. Turns out they had already checked in and needed assistance with a key. As you can imagine, this was not a pleasant experience at the start of my stay at all. I didn't find the receptionist to be empathetic towards when serving me after the incident either. I would suggest a 'Self Check-in' station with another desk for general enquires to save waiting times, executive queues; and to prevent further incidents like this happening in the future.

Cons:
I have to say I love the Raddison blu brand but this will now be the 1st of two lower than average reviews I'll be writing.
First of all I felt lucky and a little excited to get a good deal of £88 per night (with breakfast) as apposed to the £150-£170 most sites were advertising (including Raddison blu on their club Carlson membership site).
It started with the arrival with my colleague, a small lobby for the size of the hotel. No one there at first but they came out seconds later so it wasn't too much of a problem. We explained to the front desk that I had booked the rooms for two of us, but rather than looking it was assumed it would be under separate names. Could have been my fault so I'll let that go.
We then both checked in, only to find that both rooms were under my name. This was done quite fast, which was good and we were sent on our way with a brief explanation about the breakfast in the morning. Missed the offers that were on hand and not valid at check-in so no upsell. Had they asked we would have taken one of the offers.
I did show my club Carlson card and asked if there was anyway of upgrading as to which she said "I'm afraid not as the hotel is fully booked". Which was understandable (remember this part!).
I was getting myself together at the reception desk, at which she thanked me. She then thanked me again and gave me a look to say do that somewhere else! I looked around and saw a queue behind me, which I was surprised as there was no one there when we arrived. I apologised when I left the desk but left with a slightly sour taste in my mouth.
I then went to my room which smelt of cigarettes. I wasn't sure whether someone was taking a chance on smoking in their room or it was a stench in the actual room. The carpet had stains that seemed well embedded (my colleagues room looked as though blood had been engraved into the carpet with stains too!), the tv had very poor reception (so that was the Brits out of the window). Bathroom was a good size and clean, so was the room in general. But lacked any homely or business feel.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic location, great staff, clean and big rooms. We had a city view on the top floor. Brilliant.
Cons: Nothing, it was great.

Pros: I was passed out drunk in my room after a somewhat heated exchange wit my partner.
She for reasons only known to whatever deity you pretend to pray to elected to come over. This was an excellent choice assisted by the staff of the Radisson blu hotel.
Cons: I have to use a key card to access my floor, its a layer of security that is utterly redundant.

Pros: The location of the hotel was fantastic for walking to the Bullring shopping centre and to the German Christmas market was reached with absolute ease. The newly opened car park located under the hotel was so convenient, albeit a little pricey.
Cons: We stayed in room 607. On first impression the room seemed lovely but the little annoying issues came to light as the evening/night progressed. The extractor fan didn't work in the bathroom, the toilet was difficult to flush and all night long we had wind whistling under the 'front' door. We ended up placing pillows on the floor to try and get some decent sleep. But I'm sure these could be issues specific to this room.

Pros:
Cons: Room was way to small. I paid 145!!! For one night and I was so shocked by the hotel, I will not be returning
4,2 Okay
Pros: - breakfast was decent - 2 person shower was nice - bathroom had plenty of shower gel and shampoo
Cons: - room was too hot, air con didn’t work even after we complained about it - didn’t get fixed. couldn’t have window open due to noise from construction site and busy road. It was like being abroad in the summer - horrible to sleep in - shower had no ventilation so made our room hotter! - paid £145 a night (3 nights) for a room with a tv that had one movie in HD the rest were 360p. What year is this? - tv didn’t work most of the time, channel would randomly change. mugs were dirty, WiFi was 0.7mb download speed after I ran a speed test. You had to pay to get useable wi-fi. - Flat pillows, had to ask for more. Isn’t a vacation meant to be stress free? - the cleaning crew took our extra card when we went out - location was quite rough, near lots of big flats and unsanitary areas - room advertised as ‘view’ and ‘city view’ we had a view of a construction site and big industrial sheds. - no mini fridge which would of been nice - one of the lights above the bed didn’t work
5,0 Okay
Pros: Friendly staff.
Cons: Was a bit disappointed by the hotel, not much seating in bar area, which was right on top of the main entrance, so it was cold in bar area as people coming in and out of the building. Rooms very hot. Room not really as advertised, booked for my husband's birthday, felt a bit let down, charged more than was advertised on booking.com.

Pros: Rooms beautiful, comfortable and spotlessly clean. General decor really cool.
Cons: Amazing to have a free poor table and bar really cool. Lounge area was hosting a corporate event which made us feel as though we were intruding. Pool table in desperate need of refurbishment. Some communication difficulties with staff.

Pros:

Pros:
Cons: Booked double room but the room was very small and heating did not work. So had to upgrade the room. £20 extra and we good very nice executive room.
5,8 Okay
Pros: Great central location.
Cons: It all looks a bit dated and grubby in places. Staff were not great, for a 4* hotel I would expect much better service - this is more of a 3*. Also we had a room near to the lifts (no adjoining walls to lifts) but the noise of the high speed lifts running at all hours sounds like extremely high winds and is loud enough to keep you awake. When we mentioned this to desk staff on check out she agreed and asked if we had called down to complain - having arrive back at 12.30am after a concert we didn't notice the noise until 6am by which point a call to reception would have ended any chance of getting back to sleep! In response to this we were offered 2 complimentary coffees from their Costa coffee machine which when we tried to use our previously issued vouchers we stood for 10 minutes when no-one came to serve us. All in all pretty poor.

Pros: Comfortable, basic, hotel. The location was good for what we wanted (access to shopping area and Christmas market).
Cons: Breakfast was a little basic, especially for my wife who is vegetarian. The aircon/heater in our room failed on the coldest weekend so far this winter. Reception gave us a portable heater but fortunately, the building was well enough insulated for us not to need it.

Pros: Fantastic place with a great atmosphere and hospitality. The quality of the building and the room was unexpectedly outstanding and the best customer service I, and my best friend have ever been witness to. 24hr support and I definitely recommended to stay up into the early morning as you get to talk with the best people at the bar. Special shout out to Rick and Emad for their warm company that we will never forget. Cracking night with them both, that is evidence of a glowing environment for all the staff. I will definitely recommend this hotel again and again, and almost certainly coming back for more.

Cons: It shows the strength of the hotel and the excellent service they provided when I have to really think of what could be better about the facilities. If I had to provide one thing is that the light switches are a little bit flimsy in the rooms and could use some improvements. There could also be better content on the televisions in the room, maybe some smart tv elements to watch our own movies on streaming services or other, but that would just be a bonus, and 100% unnecessary.

Pros: Location.
Cons: Parking entrance as well as parking bays are so tight, big cars can easily get scratched , extreme care is required. Due to road work it took us so long to find the right road to hotel. There was no pre-warning on any email about this, which would have helped us to plan and have extra time in hand. Some staff English language :( Make sure they understood you really before you leave them. Breakfast table booking, we were 3 of us but was told we don’t have a table for 3. Table for 4 with one empty chair would do, Isn’t it , which was eventually gives to us. Common sense:(

Pros: The location is very convenient and the area seemed generally safe. It was under a ten minute walk to train station, bullring and Mailbox district.
The decor is fresh, new and well maintained. I was impressed how much they seem to have invested in lighting. It was quite sophisticated and for a small room there were several different options and it created a relaxing environment.
They are a green hotel and leave reminders to switch off lights and reuse towels. It was good to see that they care about our environment.

Overall, it is great value for money and I would definitely stay here again.
Cons: The room seemed really clean except for the floor. It wasn't exactly dirty, it just didn't seem like it had been swept properly.
The shower unit was a bit weird as it is separate from the toilet and the door is opaque and opens up right into the bedroom. This wouldn't be a problem for a solo traveler or a couple (to be fair this was a room with only one double bed) however I'm sure in some situations this would be awkward.
However, these are really minor things and really didn't bother me. The pros definitely outweigh the cons for this hotel.

Cons: There was no heating in our room, the hotel was run down and dirty, the toilet and shower looked used when we arrived, there were sticky stains on the table in the room, when we asked for an additional blanket they refused but they did supply a heater, the receptionist did not understand me when we arrived, there is only on street parking which the local housing estate also uses.

Pros:
Cons: I stayed in this hotel during the Conservative Party conference. I arrived to find a bleak place, with visible damp on the walls and spiders webs. There was no lighting in my room and the plumbing wasn't working for other delegates. There was no iron, there wasn't even a cup with my saucer to have a cup of tea. In the morning the reception was full of customers complaining that is was 'not fit for human habitation'. It looked nothing like the photographs.

Cons: Cleanliness. Smelt real bad. Facilities were old. Staff was rude didn’t show how to get to room or anything. Life took forever as one wasn’t working and the whole 8 floors had to share one lift. Carpet was old. Wallpaper had mould. On a double bed the bed mae creaky noises and was very hard with 2 single mattress put together to form a double bed.

Pros: The lobby is amazing and the detail is beautiful! There was one gentleman that was very helpful when we asked for an extra pillow and some more milk!
Cons: On arrival it was all kicking off between a staff member and a customer! The taps in our room were leaking, the bed was broken!
1,0 Poor
Pros: Good location but poor experience
Cons: Cant believe that in 2019 a does not offer wifi to guest in house. Poor ventilation and not exactly a great experience well and centrally located. I didn’t enjoy my experience ...

Pros: Checking out
Cons: In all my life I have never stayed in a worse hotel. It was filthy beyond imagination. This place really is not for for purpose. I strongly urge people not to stay here and booking.com should not be advertising this hotel. It is most definitely not 3 star. The smell is incredibly bad at the elevators on the sixth floor.
6,0 Good
Pros: location
Cons: the hotel was not tired it was exhausted! however with the location and price its ok if you only need to put your head down for a night or two
6,0 Good
Pros: We stayed for one night, paid £40 so couldn't moan at that as other hotels in the city were much more. Rooms are very basic and you get what you paid for
Cons: Hotel seems to be stuck in the 70s with the decor, we had a room with no window and air con decided to turn itself off half way through the night.
5,0 Okay
Pros: Location only !
Cons: Outdated decor mattresses hard and very uncomfortable. Stayed for 2 nights no room cleaning service. Noise and lights off street came through at all hours. Under the beds very dirty didn’t look like it had been vacuumed in a long time. Lighting was awful configuration. Only one lift working. Towels were hard and poor quality very disappointing would never stay here again !!!
4,2 Okay
Pros: Location, some charm in old fashioned style.
Cons: 1 out of only 2 Elevators was out of service for the whole 3 days! Long waits. The remaining elevator at times had erratic functioning.
No wifi in the room. Rooms are very old (some were being refreshed - paint only I think..), and run down

Pros: Convenient location for Birmingham new street station but at night it doesn’t feel safe
Cons: My first room was unbearably hot with no air conditioning, fan or even a window. I then asked to be moved to another room which in turn smelled badly of cigarettes. The room was old and dirty. Wifi is only available in the lobby and reception areas. Breakfast was overpriced for what it was and I wish I’d gone to McDonalds for breakfast instead. I wouldn’t stay there again even at a low price.
