Pros: Every single staff member was really lovely and friendly from the front counter to the restaurant and bar. The food in the restaurant was excellent quality when we had dinner there one night. The rooms were lovely and the beds were huge and comfortable. The location was great though - nice a quiet and on the pier which was very nice.

The rooms were lovely and the beds were huge and comfortable. The location was great though - nice a quiet and on the pier which was very nice.
Cons: We had a view over the street which wasn't ideal, but I guess the harbour facing rooms are more expensive so that makes sense. I thought the breakfast buffet was a little overpriced but they have good a la carte breakfast options instead.

Cons: One of the worst desserts I've ever had and my breakfast salmon omelette was very fishy tasting.
There are not really good views despite the location. We paid for a water/harbor view, but it was really a city view with view of a boat. Most of the rooms look either onto the city, other rooms or over the street and businesses across the street. Seems like at least the restaurant should be located where it has great views - but it has no views, unless you sit outside.

Cons: 2 Adults & 1 Child being told we didn't request an extra bed so there was only 1 bed in the room. I believe it should be obvious there aren't 3 wanting to sleep in 1 bed!!! They had to look for an extra bed for our son. Being greeted by everyone with bonjour??? Kept thinking I was in France not Auckland??

The hotel was contemporary, immaculate, and had a large sunny window. The bed was comfortable. The hotel has its own airport shuttle service.
It was centrally located, right at the Sky Tower and a short walk to the Auckland Art Museum, Albert Park, and Aotea Square. The Sky Tower is a stop on the tourist-oriented bus routes. The waterfront is about 15 - 20 mts walk.

Cons: Temp in my room was eighty degrees F. I called room service and they said they would send someone up. No one came. They told me my bags would be in my room and they would send up some ice. Never got ice and I had to call for my bags and they came about 45 minutes after I checked in.

Cons: The room has a constant clicking sound coming from the window. The hotel did send someone up to inspect, to be told it’s the building expanding with heat and it will stop on sun down, 9pm. This persistent clicking sound for hours was not at all relaxing and we needed to leave the room to wait for the evening.

Pros: I had a room over looking the harbour. Bed is very comfortable and staff super friendly and helpful. You can walk into the center of town and marina. Great garden nearby. I recommend it. Loads of Asian restaurants nearby.

Cons: Our room was missing a shade on one of the mirrors. The other 2 were in shreds. Our view was of construction workers directly across the street. The bathroom had mildew in the shower. Needless to say, this was not what I expect from a 5-star hotel.

Cons: It is the only hotel I know where there are are no tea/coffee making facilities. Whoever designed the bathroom needs to be fired: the placement of the wc leaves no room at all.

Specially thank you for the whole concierge team, they were always more than friendly and helpful to park my car and helping in any kind of questions ! Very recommended hotel, will come back for sure back again !

Cons: I booked for one adult and 2 14 year olds and thee two beds were not really big enough so I had to sleep on the floor. I asked for a pull up bed but they said the room wasn't big enough

Pros: Beautiful, outstanding hotel right across from Albert Park and a 10min downhill walk to downtown area. The breakfast buffet is extensive, delicious, and open until 10:30 for late sleepers. Our large room had a great view across the harbor. Roomy bathroom with enough soave to put toiletries kits. Spa services on ground floor.
Cons: Some of the front desk staff speak heavily accented English and are hard to understand, if helpful. We expect that with housekeepers (as was the case also at the Pullman), but front desk should have fluency in the native language of the country. The hotel is on a hill near downtown and is surrounded by apartment blocks, so if you don’t want to eat at the hotel, there aren’t any restaurants in the immediate vicinity.

Cons: Being asked for my Visa card when I made it clear I had a Visa debit card and would pay right away. Then later the computer seemed to have no clear record that I had paid full accommodation $ on arrival. Made me feel invisible and frustrated with the staff member. Wasn't their fault. The computer records not clearly recording payments. Thus I went away disappointed and annoyed because of added delay of retelling my payment on arrival story several times to clerks who did not appear to believe me.

Pros: When I come to Auckland I always stay at this hotel. Handy location, nice to have continental breakfast in room, Microwave to use if needed. I prefer rooms that look out over park. They are quieter. A nice walk down Queen St or inner link bus is excellent service. I had very early departure before staff day started and directions for exiting worked well. Looking forward to staying there again. Staff always pleasant and helpful.

Cons: Although the main areas were clean, the balcony looked like it had been forgotten to be swept and mopped for a while. And the walls were a little dirty in some places (looked like food slpashes).
