Pros: Very friendly staff. Magnificent breakfast. Very comfortable room.

Pros: Wonderful stay in a Club room. The lounge is lovely with great food and wine. The staff were fantastic.

Pros: Staff was exceptional. Bed was one of the most comfortable that we have evert slept in. Breakfast was good.

Cons: It is very slightly out of the way, but they have a complementary shuttle to take you into the action. About a half mile to a mile away.

Pros: The service is flawless and friendly. The beds are heavenly. And the breakfast is by far the best buffet in town.

Pros: From greeting at Valet parking through reception was excellent - room was great - very comfy bed and selection of pillows - I have a bad back and this was wonderful to find

Pros: This was our 16th stay and I would have to say the standard of service on this visit was the best it’s ever been. Overall the staff were outstanding. In particular previous feedback we had given on the lack of Vegan food options for breakfast had been listened to and the choices were very good. Breakfast staff recognised our needs and were exceptionally helpful.

Pros: We arrived early and had requested an early check-in (a few days in advance). Whilst the hotel had said they couldn't guarantee that they would be able to allow us to our rooms a couple of hours early, not only did they have rooms ready, but they upgraded us! Cordis is a truly luxurious, wonderful and relaxing place to stay.

Pros: The location of the hotel is good. The accessibility to the casino was really easy and the staff was awesome. The gusto breakfast buffet was amazing.

Cons: The room size was small for price you pay , I couldn’t access my Apple TV device through your TV. Had a coffee machine and a kettle in the room but no complimentary coffee, hot chocolate, teabags and milk.

Cons: Lacks the small personal touches that other top hotels provide. Staff were reactive rather than proactive.

Cons: The unwillingness to help fix a mistake in the booking which significantly inconvenienced me on my vacation taking time away from my family to sort it out. I'll think twice before I book a group booking with this hotel in future as the Hyatt looked good

Pros: This room was a gift to my parents for their 60th Wedding Anniversary. They were upgraded which was a nice touch and they were given a card and bubbly.

Cons: No bottle openers in the room had to order one from room service and he was reluctant to leave it

Pros: The rooms were really nice and there was a really good selection for breakfast. We really appreciated the extra help from Tae who was able to give some very helpful advice on things to do and was also able to fix problems I had with my SIM card which was extremely useful. Would definitely recommend this to stay especially if just arriving in NZ for first time.

Cons: We were here for a serious family emergency. When our son was flown up a roll on bed was added at no extra cot. A complimentary breakfast was provided for all of us. Taf were caring

Pros: Love the location and it’s why we have stayed here several times. Pool was warm and not busy. Beds are super comfy

Cons: Unlike the previous times we have stayed in a club room we were disappointed. Wrong key cards given at check in so couldn’t access club lounge. Not enough staff on check in desk and the staff member was awesome, just couldn’t cope with 6+ people all checking in at the same time. Breakfast in the club lounge we were told they no longer did a hot breakfast and we could only have continental, with no g/f options. When we enquires at check out why the change we were told we should have been accommodated

Pros: The hotel is in a great location for exploring Auckland on foot! Had a small issue with the bathroom and Staff took care of it right away! The staff are wonderful and enjoyed the food in the upstairs atrium. Would return!

Cons: First impressions self parking carpark was cramped and dirty and then getting into a dirty lift with stained carpet and not until you come around into the foyer do get to feel a little luxury. But needs a face lift, it's dated. We were ushered to the rear lifts or what I like to call the riff-raff lifts and through to our room which was basic. The beds were small and not comfortable as a woman my feet hung over the end, Manchester was clean but well used resourcing the pillows. There was a view of another building being built and the noise of Jack hammers and a tradie lift being used at 7 Saturday morning. Breakfast was average, watery eggs and rubbery bacon and the coffee was not good, even paying for a barista coffee it wasn't satisfying. I didn't feel like I was spoilt, it did not exceed expectations. This is not good enough for our Kiwi families and would hate this to be a visitor to nzs fist impression. The room could have been in any 2 star hotel in the world. If I had booked our superior family room for 4 it would have driven me insane lucky it was just me and my son.

Cons: The worst hotel stay ever in my life! Checked in at 8pm and there was a birthday function at the hotel. I could hear live music - banging and shaking the room - which is absolutely unacceptable. I have never experienced anything like this before and it baffles me how anyone could think to put a customer in a room that was literally next to something so loud to be a live rock club! Furthermore, there were guest of the function walking down the hallway drunk and loud every 5 minutes and randomly banging hotel room doors on purpose! What was the cherry on top, however, was the terrible service and poor handling of the duty manager. I had to call the reception 3 times to get someone to arrange me a new room. I asked to speak to the duty manager as my initial calls were obviously not taken seriously. I was told the duty manager had to take a car out and will call back when he is back. Nothing for another 20min so I called the reception again and guess who answers the phone? The duty manager who was supposed to call me back. When I put this to him his response was ‘well I just got back, so what can I do for you?’. When I told him I called multiple times about this unacceptable noise, he said ‘is it still loud?’, which means he was already aware of it. Took me 1 hours to resolve the issue and get a different room. What a waste of time and energy to get an acceptable friggin hotel room that I paid for! And no compensation was given at all! I will be contacting the head office to lodge a complaint against the duty manager. I cannot believe this is a 4 star hotel. The quality and service of the room and the staff are not even worth 1 star. They should not be operating a hotel if they cannot even manage an event properly. It baffles me how they charge $220 (special rate!) for a hotel room where people cannot even stay due to the unacceptable level of noise! The shower was also terrible with the worst water pressure and the water going cold after 3 minutes.
