Did not know about the parking situation where you have to pay an additional daily rate for parking which you have to arrange ahead of time if you have a rental car. For best rates use the app called Parkable which will give you weekly subscription options from 55 to 85 NZD per week (make sure you read the details of the subscription carefully so you’re not charged additional unnecessary days). As for the room it had a great view of the Sky Tower. Room was a bit smaller than expected but worked in our case since we didn’t stay in the room all day. Let’s just say that having more than 2 people in the room would not be practical. There are some shops close by as well as some restaurants which is a plus. Queen Street is basically the strip where a majority of shops are located all the way down hill to the pier area where a shopping mall and food court is located (about 30 min walk or 10 min escooter ride)

Cons:Parking was absolutely awful. Housekeeping did not remove old food from the evenings. There was a ROACH in my room. When making the front desk aware of the lack of cleaning and roach they breezed over both as they were no big deal. Would never stay here again.
Pros:We thought the location was great and the staff was both friendly and helpful.
Cons:The pictures of the room on the website were deceiving; they made the room look much nicer and bigger. The bed was old and terrible (could feel bed springs) and the linens generally had some stains on them.

Cons:* No slippers provided * The edge of the carpet going to the toilet has sharp objects. I got hurt when I went to the toilet. The slippers would be a great help. * Room 101 is a comfortable room except that there is little privacy as it can be seen from the building across the room. * Room 101 should have been made as a conference room. * No breakfast in the package. * only 250MB a day internet package. Such a low tech offer for a high tech country! * better ventilation needed
