6,8 Good
Pros: Location is great. 24 hour food served in the restaurant/bar is most helpful and was very tasty. Roooms modern, great powerful rain shower. Would recommend a canal view room.
Cons: Asked for a toothbrush, it never arrived. Several plug sockets in the room didn't work. Spa is very basic, only a sauna available. Breakfast was a bit chaotic with food arranged around an open kitchen - needs improvement.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: location, staff complimentary non alcoholic drinks, snacks, coffee.
Cons: everything was great

Pros: Great service from every employee, room was quiet and beautifully decorated, free non-alcoholic drinks and snacks in room was a nice touch. Location was great
Cons: A little strange that sink is in middle of room but it is still done tastefully.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Awesome location - very clean and cool rooms!
Cons: Had to wait for our room even though we arrived at 6pm. Staff not overly friendly - left us waiting. After 1h15 waiting I had to go remind staff that we still had not gotten our room/ checked in. I expected better service for -- a night- disappointin
6,5 Good
Pros: The hotel has a trendy, designy look and staff seemed friendly enough. There's a neat garden in the back and a they have a cozy lounge with descent drinks.
Cons: I had high hopes for this property upon arrival, but overall was let down. I had the hotel dry clean three silk items, all of which were ruined. It took me over a week to get them to resolve it and in the end, they only paid out 75% of the replacement cost. We were put in a disabled accessible room located right by the elevator (despite not requesting an accessible room). It was loud, the accessible shower allowed water to get all over the bathroom floor. The vanity outlet in the bathroom wouldn't work and it took them coming out two times to fix it, leaving me unable to do my hair both mornings we were there. Upon arrival, the woman who greeted us (and was apparently training) said that welcome drinks were complimentary for guests. When the man training her joined her to do our check-in in the lounge, he asked if we were in town for anything special. I mentioned it was for my husband's birthday weekend and he offered to "cover our drinks." This seemed odd given the woman had just told us they were complimentary. Not sure if he was being underhanded or if the woman training was just mistaken. The whole thing struck me as odd.

Pros: Loved everything about this hotel. The staff was amazing, kudos to Lara for being so friendly to our 3 year old son, he was her biggest fan. The rooms are modern, well done and are big. The breakfast was also very good. The bar/lounge area was so cozy and inviting, loved it! We were not charged for milk for our son, not once!
Cons: Can't think of a single thing!

The Hoxton, Amsterdam - Amsterdam - Bedroom
2
9,2 Excellent (1 763 reviews)
R5 811+
Overview Reviews
The Hoxton, Amsterdam is made up of a series of five canal houses overlooking both the Herengracht and Singel canals. The property has a fascinating history, dating from the early 17th Century, formally a residential town house that was home to the Mayor of Amsterdam. The hotel will consist of 111 rooms and will also house it's very own Apartment, our meeting and event space like no other, restaurant and bar.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Nice bar and restaurant area
Cons: Did not receive papers at check out
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Cannot say enough about how great our stay was here! We extended our stay by a day we loved it so much. The prices were very reasonable. They checked us in 2 hrs early with zero hassle. All of the room supplies were included. While not exceedingly spacious, everything about the room and hotel oozed modern style. There was interesting literature on the shelves. The beds were clean and comfortable. In the lobby was a hip restaurant with delicious and affordable faire which we frequented almost every day, and at night became a popular bar until 1 am. There were many other places to eat, shop, or stroll past from the Hoxton's central location, but it was far enough removed from the main tourist areas to feel somewhat local. I would recommend this place to anyone except maybe those traveling with children, as I believe they had to "cheat" to fit us into a single room, and we are smaller than your average humans as it was.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Spectacular experience, I loved the vibe and design of the space. All finishes are high quality and products they give you in the room smell fabulous . Breakfast is also excellent. It’s the small touches like having smooth jazz playing in your room when you walk in, I cannot say more positive things about it.
Cons: Nothing!
4,2 Okay
Cons: My single room was tiny. It was impossible to see the television from the bed. In the evening, the lobby turned into a very crowded and noisy nightlife venue. Because of the crowd, it was difficult to get in and out of the hotel. Would never stay here again.
9,0 Excellent
Cons: Bed was too soft for me, but I accept that that is a personal preference
8,8 Excellent
Pros: The location, the vibe, the atmosphere and the staff were all excellent.
Cons: I know we booked a cosy room but I had no idea the door would hit the bed when we opened the door!
7,1 Good
Pros: The location was great and we really liked the interior design and the view from the windows was superb.
Cons: The room was noisy until midnight due to loud music in the lounge. Breakfast was a bag with a joghurt and a banana. At 350 per night this wasnt good value for money. We also disliked the lounge which tried to be cafe, bar and restaurant and didnt do any of it well - it was also very noisy. I would not recommend this hotel.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the free breakfast bags that were provided - a very nice touch. The room, although quite small for two people had a very good sized bathroom attached which worked very well (shower lovely!). Visited Amsterdam for my 50th birthday with my wife and the hotel had taken the trouble to provide room decoration, a half bottle of cava and a bar of chocolate along with a note wishing me a happy birthday. Superb stay and will definitely look for the Hoxton brand in future. Excellent!
Cons: Not a lot really. The room was small but we knew that when we booked it.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Two bottles of water in the fridge and breakfast at the door.

Pros: Great atmosphere
Cons: Small bed

9,4 Excellent
Pros: The hotel and my room were nice. The staff is excellent, helpful and accommodating. I had a very pleasant stay here.
Cons: The hotel is a good distance from the city center. I think I remember reading ~ a 30 minute walk but it was more like ~50 minutes. Using public transportation, Ubers or taxis is a must.
2,5 Mediocre
Pros: Breakfast menu. Sauna, Swimming pool, Fitness, Parking area, Entrance
Cons: Elevator, (15mins waiting time, even they have 4 lines), Executive lounge,(very overvalued) Staff professionality(Reception staff was quite fake of the kindness) In case of 5 stars hotel, complimentary water offer only one time for 5days.. They looks like quite overcapa that they used to be handle. Anyhow it doesn’t seems like 5stars hotel. It just very packaged hotel for travel agency or just events people...

9,6 Excellent
Pros: It has beautiful atmosphere ..
Cons: Nothing
9,7 Excellent
Pros: A truly spectacular property, beautifully fitted, with attentive, friendly but not overly intrusive staff. Amsterdam is a great place to visit; this hotel is almost reason enough on its own. I stayed there twice on the same trip. The first time we upgraded to a suite, and it was beautiful, really a place to relax in and feet at home. The second stay I was alone and had a regular room. It was tiny, but entirely functional. Both rooms were street facing with large windows. The bar is lovely, as well. Be sure to try one (or two or three) of their great gin and tonics.
Cons: It is rather pricey, but you do get what you pay for.

Pros: We thought the price we paid includes breakfast and and a bathtub but it wasnt when checked. The room smells curry when we checked in and just below the gym which makes it a bit noisy when people are already in the gym. The tv wasnt working and the shower is leaking from the glass door.
Cons: The room just below the gym, no bathtub

8,0 Excellent
Pros: You need a hotel at AMS, you got it. It's comfortable and well furnished and featured.
Cons: Someone prior to me opened a coke bottle from the mini-fridge and then put it back. Hotel still charged me for it -- assuming due to sensors. The long hallway from the airport concorse to the actual hotel was a bit far, but that was minor.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: The Hotel was amazing! Except 2 Things, the parking was € 49,- per night which is ridiculous!!! And they forget the breakfast, we did put the sign in front of the door.....but yeah it was impossible for them to make a breakfast because it was after 11am...;)
Cons: The Hotel was amazing! Except 2 Things, the parking was € 49,- per night which is ridiculous!!! And they forget the breakfast, we did put the sign in front of the door.....but yeah it was impossible for them to make a breakfast because it was after 11am...;)

Pros: Location was great , the lounge is amazing , greT view , awesome shower
Cons: Terrible internet !! We got the room on executive level , got there at 10 PM and were told that it was already closed and would not reopen until after I flight would leave the next day
10,0 Excellent
Pros: it was exactly what we wanted.Convenience was the key.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: I booked the hotel on NYE to take my dog away from the fireworks. I still expected to hear some noise, but heard nothing. The room was quiet and the beds were super comfy. I was booked into a room without a bathtub and when I asked to change rooms, I was put on a higher floor with a bathtub which made me super happy. I gave up a double bed for two single beds but the single beds were a good size. My dog and I both slept through the night without hearing any noise from outside or other guests - the rooms really are soundproof!
Cons: Nothing
4,6 Okay
Pros: My partner and I stayed for 2 nights. It was very nice and modern with beautiful spa facilities.
Cons: We were misinformed about the time for breakfast! as we turned up to breakfast it was finished which was a shame because it was included in the room rate. Also at every hotel we’ve stayed at (we’ve stayed at many) you have the option of having breakfast come to your room when it’s part of the room rate. On this occasion we were told we’d have to order and pay for breakfast separately although it was already part of our room rate! Such a shame! Also we had to ask for house keeping on 3 occasions and still had know one show up to clean our room which again was a shame. Minus that we enjoyed our stay:
7,0 Good
Pros: Easy 10 minute walk to the airport, all inside.
Cons: Very weak breakfast buffet, very average but still 16 EUR. Telephone in room with Operator button did not ring the front desk and nobody answered. Unless you knew and dialed the extension of the front desk (5000) you could not get through.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: I was thrilled at the convenience of walking to and from the airport! Front desk receptionists were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. I would recommend this hotel and return when I'm back in Holland.
7,0 Good
Pros: I liked the blue lights at night and the cool windows.
Cons: It was really nice, but my room was really cold. That was a surprise. Maybe that is just the way people like it in Amsterdam, but from the U.S., I am used to being able to turn up the heater much higher. I even moved to another room and it didn't work.
8,0 Excellent
Cons: Bathroom
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable room in a very modern hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Only 10 minutes walk to Main Hall.
Cons: As a vegetarian, the food was mediocre. Enjoyed menu though with 3 kinds of food that could be combined however you like it.

Pros: I love how close it is to the train/metro/tram station, it makes it super easy to go in/out of town and it’s quiet!
Cons: Their selection of restaurants in the area is slim, because it is a business area but I’m sure if we weren’t here during the Christmas holidays it would be better.

9,0 Excellent
Pros: Reception customer service really good and friendly, rooms are nice and location perfect with good connection to the city center
Cons: Room cleaning service lacking quality compared to the standard of the hotel. After room being cleaned no towels at all in the bathroom (previous ones removed no replacement, just the tiny used hand towels still in the sink, so kind of looked like they started cleaning the bathroom but left at a certain point). Details like dust on the coffee machine etc.

Pros: Spotless clean, very friendly and helpful staff throughout
Cons: Could of done with some thin pillows.!

Pros: Very nice hotel and great service. Fantastic location
6,7 Good
Pros: The location, right next to food hallen !! Great breakfast.
Cons: No window in the room
9,6 Excellent
Cons: There was no room service after 10pm - for a 4-star hotel in a major European city, which has plenty of business visitors and not only tourists, that was really disappointing.
1,0 Poor
Pros: Hotel de Hallen was once our favourite hotel in Amsterdam, which we recommended to scores of our friends and family. The location, staff and hotel as a whole are still amazing. Breakfast is adequate and tasty.
Cons: There is a communication gap between the (separate) reservations department and reception which completely ruined our stay. A week before our arrival there was a €153 charge to my bank account - no problem - pre-arrival authorisation. Then 2 days later, another € 153 charge. I emailed the reservations team and they advised that they had accidentally processed the first as a charge and not authorisation and will refund it. Without contacting me and notifying me of their mistake, they proceeded with the second authorisation - as if it is the norm to misuse guests credit card details shared with them via booking.com. Then on arrival, I'm told that they need to process yet another authorisation on my card of €153 as well as €50 for incidentals. So more than €500 charged and I haven't even checked in. I tried to discuss the multiple charges with reception, but they referred me back to the separate reservations team. Another email to reservations later, I get a reply that not to worry. The multiple authorisations will all be deducted when I check out and I will only pay the difference. Fine. Come check out, I'm informed that I have been misled - I am charged the full value of my stay, and the authorisations will apparently be released and interbank credits will happen. I checked out 25/12 and on 30/12 only the refund for the first erroneous charge had been credited. Another email to reservations and I get the reply "our apologies for this, today we have manually released the authorisation". This a week after my check out - with my constant need to follow up. It is now 03/01 and still no credit to my account for the authorisations. ABSOLUTELY SHOCKED.
7,9 Good
Pros: It was cool.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful location. The room – quite small but well designed. Very comfortable bed, with the big pillows especially appreciated. Friendly, helpful staff.
Cons: The breakfast was mediocre. Coffee was from a proper bean-to-espresson machine but the coffee was poor quality. Breakfast items that were meant to be hot, were nearly cold.
9,2 Excellent
Pros: Modern and clean
Cons: Could here water running in the morning

Pros: Location
Cons: Too noisy. The bar downstairs opens to 2 am and people inside are very very very noisy, which means you will not be able to sleep before 2 am next day. And it is no use to complain to the hotel.

Pros: The location of the hotel is excellent - it's very central and close to everything. The staff is amazingly helpful and professional. The rooms have all the required necessities. A great place if you're just looking for a bed near the city-centre.
Cons: The hotel is a little on the old side. The internet is quite slow, especially at nights. We had to walk quite far to get to the lift which took us to our rooms, it was a bit far & odd.

Pros: Upon Check-in, we worked with Taco - he upgraded our room and was absolutely pleasant. We also valeted our car and the valet and luggage support staff were so friendly and positive - very nice reception after we had a long travel day! At breakfast we chatted with Daphne in Guest Services about wanting to have a chill day on Sunday. Upon returning to our room in the evening we had a special relaxation set of eye mask, pillow spray and herbal tea. The care and attention to guests is amazing considering the high volume of customers this hotel receives. The facilities are always immaculate!

Pros: Location was great
Cons: Keys stopped working every day and it takes a very long time to get from the room tothe front desk to get new ones. I also was unable to make my first night due to a change in our flight that was beyond my control and although I called more than 24 hours before arrival they would not refund my first night stay. I would not suggest pre paying. I have worked in hotels so I know there are always ways staff can make it up to you - free breakfast, bottles of wine, discounts on future stays etc. Nothing was done

Pros: Perfect experience with this Hotel. Amazing!
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful and Technology bedroom. You have an iPad which controls everything. The shower is designed on a unique way.
Cons: The bathroom has no privacy. Everyone in the room is going to know and listen what’s going on there. If you are shy to do number 1 o 2 you probably not choose this hotel.
8,2 Excellent
Pros: Smart design
Cons: Seems a little impractical (wrt the bathroom facilities) for the first time user. May be one will get used to but given this was my first time, I was not very impressed.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff at the Amsterdam hotel went above and beyond in helpfulness. They oriented us to the city, the rail system, best restaurants, called cabs, etc. Felt like we had made friends.
Cons: The rooms are quite small., and yes, the shower is in the middle of the room. You have to see it to believe it. It's fine if you're a couple, or single. well worth it. We will always use this chain in any city we can.

Cons: You have to take the tram or the OV to get around. It’s still ok tough! Since Amsterdam is bike city :)

5,7 Okay
Pros: location
Cons: the beds, the hotel offers very little bad
7,5 Good
Pros: Good location, pleasant stuff
Cons: Booked two rooms of the same category - the rooms were totally different. One been really small and uncomfortable, the other been big and comfy.
9,0 Excellent
Pros: location + staff
Cons: the bed wasnt comfortable
4,0 Okay
Pros: The hotel was in a good location. Breakfast was varied and of a good standard. The beds were very comfortable.
Cons: There was major renovation working being carried out during our stay which we were not made aware of beforehand. Our 3 rooms were very close to the work being carried out making them noisy from 7am right through the day. We asked to be moved to a quieter room but in fact we were moved to a very noisy room on the first floor with constant tram noise late into the night as well as loud party goers all through the night. We did not get one good nights sleep during our stay. The service in the restaurant was poor, when we arrived we ordered drinks which took 25 minutes to arrive. At breakfast we had to ask each morning for tea and coffee. Staff were friendly, just not attentive. We would not stay at this hotel again.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: From the moment we arrived to be told our room was upgraded free of charge and that we were the ‘guests of the day’, the experience was magnificent. We loved the room, the location was very handy - only 4 tram stops away from Dam Square and a 20 minute walk from the Anne Frank House. And the buffet breakfast was one of the best we’ve ever seen!
Cons: Nothing - we just wished we had longer to stay there.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Location, right by canal
Cons: Had to get two rooms because a family of four could not stay in one room. They charge 35 dollars a day for each cot if you stay in one room.
7,5 Good
Pros: - Great location in the city center - Clean room - Helpful stuff
Cons: - The room was rather cold: turning up the radiators helped, but not much. Plus, someone was turning them off every day. - The water in the bathroom was cold too - The iron in the room shouldn’t be used at all. One t-shirt was ruined by it - The card was charged more than it should be: in the end had €600 more blocked on the card than the invoice amount - Uber doesn’t stop at the hotel, had to walk across the bridge to get to the car - Last two days of the stay were ruined by the noise from the renovation that has started
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were new and stylish. The hotel is in a great part of town for walking and public transport. Breakfast was very good. The hotel compensated for renovation works in the foyer with drinks vouchers and a teddy bear for each room - a nice touch! The reception staff were very helpful.
Cons: The rooms were dark - it was hard to find things in the suitcases. The service at Cafe Americain was not very good.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful hotel, friendly and helpful staff!
7,0 Good
Pros: The location was excellent.
Cons: It was old, and the pictures online are misleading. The room was much smaller than it looks in the pictures. Bathroom was old, and shower head was broken, although it worked ok.

Cons: Bed and pillow were not comfortable.

Pros: Central lovely area great staff fabulous restaurant attached
Cons: Towels were a little sparse
5,8 Okay
Pros: Design
Cons: Bring earplugs, you can hear everything in the hallway, including your neighbor talking in thier room across the way.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Staff were very polite and helpful on arrival. Room was very comfortable.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: We travelled through Europe for four weeks on our honeymoon, and stayed our last two nights at Sir Albert. They were the only hotel out of our whole stay to acknowledge our honeymoon and congratulate us by leaving some balloons in our room with a note. The staff are extremely friendly and accommodating, the hotel is quirky and fantastic, within a short walking distance from cafes and restaurants. Although there is a very trendy bar/restaurant downstairs, you can’t hear anything as the room are extremely sound proof. We would 100% stay again.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The style and decor of hotel and rooms, the very confortable bed, the excellent breakfast (you pay but it worths every cent, it is quality one), the kindness of the personnel, the welcome at the check in (with prosecco and explanation of what to do in the city!)
Cons: Nothing
8,0 Excellent
Pros: Location, staff was very helpful. Bath products and bedding was very nice.
Cons: Outlet for coffee machine didn't work, had to make coffee in bathroom sink. Top floor room was designed poorly with very short ceilings in corners and hard to access outlets.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Amsterdam is so small there is no reason to stay in the middle of all the touristy stuff. This place was in a quiet area, yet close to everything. Clean, comfortable, with helpful staff. Did not try their Japanese restaurant but it was packed every night and apparently has a good reputation. I would say this is a more "grownup"/sophisticated hotel. They rent out average bikes, which are a few € more expensive than the rental place down the street, but it's more convenient than the rigmarole of leaving 50€ cash per bike + a copy of your ID.
Cons: Honestly, the only negative were the rental bikes, which were not very comfortable for long rides but do the trick!

Pros: The location; the staff were very helpful and friendly, and it was peaceful.

Pros: Location and style of hotel and vibe
Cons: I didn't like that there is no conditioner in the shower. Also, there were some messes that housekeeping did not attend to.

Pros: The rooms were small but well appointed. The staff was friendly. Best of all the location is away from the tourist craziness yet near many attractions and a great place to begin exploring on bicycle.
Cons: The wine in the room was disappointing in quality and price.
5,8 Okay
Pros: Location is good !
Cons: Some of the staff were particularly rude, we tried to explain that the room was dirty (hair in the bathtub, dirty towels and crumbles on the table that stay here for two days) and were treated with disregard. Small details as 4-star hotels should be paying attention to, are inexistant in this establishment.

Pros: Gorgeous funky little hotel with amazing staff in a quieter Amsterdam location
Cons: I would have liked a door between the children’s room and main room

Pros: The tram is right outside of the hotel. Very convenient for traveling to the train station. There was also a store that was close by as well.
8,0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was friendly & helpful we had a tram stop 5 minutes from the hotel that takes you to central Amsterdam you can buy day passes right at the Hotel. The breakfast bar was good but it's not cheap the same goes for the dinner. We ate in small cafes while touring Amsterdam it's a lot cheaper that way.
Cons: No washcloth in the bathrooms they don't use them in Amsterdam so bring your own.Parking was 15 euros per day unless you can find a spot outside.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the USB ports. Nice size room.
Cons: They have computers to check yourself in but they still needed staff to assist. Waste of time. Just have staff assist you to check in with the computer. Same amount of time and manpower.
9,4 Excellent
Pros: Everything was great as expected
Cons: It does not have a gym
8,2 Excellent
Pros: Great rate (much less than hotels downtown) and included free breakfast, wifi and had friendly helpful people who all spoke English.
Cons: We did not realize that we would have to take a tram to the downtown part of Amsterdam where everything was located. If arriving with suitcase from train station, go out the BACK door of Central station and then go down stairs below and look for Tram 12 to get to hotel (2 stops) If not, it's a 10 min walk but a bit tricky initially to find. To go to the Airport, we had to take Tram 12 to Central Station and then the Train 1 stop to the airport. To go to the area of Amsterdam where most of the museums were, we had to take Tram 12 (near hotel & comes frequently) and then change to Tram 6. Since we were there for only 2 days we'd rather just step outside of our hotel and be in walking distance without public transportation. The hotel is basically in suburbia. (About 15 min or so into the City though.) The only option for dinner is their $29 buffet. There is a restaurant 5 min away, Cafe Pistau though that is excellent).
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent accommodation in Amsterdam! the staff is so helpful and friendly, the location super easy to reach, nice view from the room, and the great hospitality. love it!
6,0 Good
Cons: the lamp was finally fixed on the last night.
9,6 Excellent
Pros: Modern, very comfy beds, 20 min tram outside of city centre which we really liked, not much around the local area apart from Lidl 5 min away but this was fine with us. Tram right outside, very clean and friendly staff
Cons: No complaints other than when we arrived there was a slight issue finding the booking but it was found within 10 mins so not much of an issue, we were even able to check in at 10am rather than 3!
9,0 Excellent
Pros: Room was bigger than the one id booked. Very spacious room with good sized bathroom
Cons: The wifi would occasionally stutter but not a lot. The parking can become pricey especially if staying for more than one night.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Location is awesome, ca. 20 mins to the old city with tram, tram station is just few steps away from hotel, if you come back late after 1:00 in the night, there is a bus connected Breakfast is good, 15 euro is cheap for Amsterdam..
Cons: Actually no
10,0 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were modern and really comfortable. Everything was clean and the bathrooms were large and included some toiletries. The tram stops right outside so you are really close to the centre of Amsterdam.
10,0 Excellent
Pros: Great staff, one not so friendly but hey! This is Amsterdam! The rest more than made up for her. Very clean. Very modern. Very COMFORTABLE. Transportation into city center was not bad at all with bus and tram station nearby and a main train station within a 12 minute walk. Pay for breakfast, pricey but worth it.
Cons: Everything was great, I plan to return and recommend to all my friends and family.

Pros: Location
Cons: First night around 11 pm they send us to the other hotel saying there was some accident with the room and cant check us in. We were very upset and asked them to put us into the lower type of room coz our 6yr old son were really tired but they said all rooms were fully booked and called us a cab and send us to other hotel. We ended up cancel our trip to Miniworld in Rotterdam the next morning coz other hotel was far from central station and we got to checked in around midnight and slept around 1am. My son got up at 11am so werent enough time to go. I felt like booking.com or either the hotel was very irreseponsible and unreliable. I am not sure if i will book thru booking.com again. In addition on that night i texted booking.com said i wanted to refund my money and stay with another hotel but i got no response

Pros: money was stolen from me in the amount of 800 euros. There were 3200, became 2400 euros. at 8:40, I went for breakfast, then put on my bathrobe and went to the pool, returning to my room. I called the suburb from Israel. I showed my number and money, counting them there was not 800 euros. I called the reception, the security guard and manager came. Later I went to the police with one Good Israeli woman named Anat, she helped me. The police said that they would hardly return you the money. I cried a lot, and I don’t understand how this can happen in a 5 star hotel. I wait 10 days for a response from the police and the hotel. I think there will be no answer. I just ask all of you, don’t leave money in the room. I am writing now and shaking hands.

Pros: Very large and comfortable room with comfortable bed.
Cons: Too bad one has to take a shuttle bus instead of walk to get there, that's of course the case for most airport hotels at Schiphol (or other places) however.

Pros: Free shuttle
Cons: Jacuzzi was cold and loud guests in neighboring rooms

Pros: I’m glad it had a shuttle that picked us up from the airport.
Cons: No everything was excellent.

Pros: Very friendly staff; clean and spacious rooms; great breakfast!
Cons: We couldn't adjust thermostat & had to open windows at night, which let in mosquitos. There was also a lot of noise outside-someone "playing drums" and singing around midnight to one am. We thought it would be closer to the airport than 8 miles.

Pros: Nice place to stay. Lovely helpful staff.
Cons: Poor beer. Not a lot of choice and expensive.

Pros: I booked this hotel for my daughter and her friend. They were on a short trip to Amsterdam, and actually were looking for a hotel in the center. I convinced them to take a hotel in the airport vicinity. Th NH hotel like most hotels around Schiphol airport have free shuttles to the airport from where it's a short train ride to Amsterdam central. In the end they were very happy with it. A hotel of the same level in Amsterdam would cost at least double. So according to my daughter: Great hotel, great breakfast, great staff, great time, nice pool, and will absolutely choose this hotel again!
Cons: Nothing.

Pros: Beautiful hotel with lots of small added touches. The staff was welcoming and helpful, too!
Cons: Our room did smell of cigarette smoke upon arrival. It overlooked the pool area and the smoke from people outside would stink up our room. The staff was very accommodating in relocating us away from this smell.
