Prince, location and style.
Great place to stay and hang out! Fantastic bar, serving food, staff really friendly and nice! Our room was behind a bookcase, really good fun. Bathroom was a shared, but toilet and showers modern and private, so not a problem. We can't wait to go back, loved it!
The friendly staff, and the fact they went out of their way to make us feel very welcome. Offering fresh baked gluten free rolls for breakfast, making sure we were comfortable with our room, taking time to speak with us when we arrived tired and late in need of food. Kevin Bacon staff were fantastic, offering directions to a good source of Dutch licorice and making a fresh lime juice and soda, not cordial from a post mix. Overall the staff we came in contact with were terrific. Nothing was too much trouble. Oh and the beds and feather pillows are very comfortable as well.
There could be a bit better ventilation in the rooms, other than that nothing at all.
The staff was amazing! The whole ambient and location as well. We loved the quiet neighborhood and how well connected you are with the local transport. Would recommend to young travellers who don't mind sharing a creative living space! We also loved the adjustable lighting system.
We chose to pay extra for the bookshelf room with a shower. 2 out of 4 nights however, there was only cold water and we had to use communal bathrooms. Apparently there was warm water though, but you had to wait for like 10 minutes. Not really convenient. Airflow in the rooms above the Kevin Bacon kitchen is bad and you can smell pad thai instead of fresh air a lot of times. We had to sleep with the door open. All of this wasn't THAT annoying for us but I imagine some people would not be happy. There could also be more breakfast options than the teo classic continental variations.
Was very quirky, nice place to stay if you like the unusual. Staff were very helpful.
For what it was the price was high for me but I accept they're selling something different, is not a criticism as the costs were upfront and known to me. However I feel they'd attract more people and get higher reviews with slightly lower prices. For what is essentially a room only. But still we enjoyed our stay.
