Cons: "1. rude staff - i stood in Jburg at the counter for 13 minutes (i checked my clock) while 8 staff ladies spoke among themselves in a myriad of languages. FINALLY one lady asked if i had been helped! I said no and she was clearly less than thrilled to be the one to help with my question. i literally just wanted to ask if my seat assignment was a window, middle or aisle, but it was like i was the bane of her existence and i interrupted their social hour. On my outbound flight (ORD to DOH) I also watched three staff members be beyond rude to guest after guest at the check in counter regarding baggage when they came forward to "re check-in" which was a new requirement for most people. There was a lot of general confusion on behalf of the consumers and the staff was NOT the least bit patient or helpful in explaining what they needed from us or why this flight had different procedures than normal. I still don't know why they were so fussy about baggage and made everyone re check in at the gate in fact. And they didnt do it to my baggage so i have no idea why they were so rude to some and completely left others alone. (didn't seem to have to do with size, carrying of electronics, i don't know?) 2. the physical flight - you changed my original flight time to something that was REALLY close for my connection from DOH to CDG, so you instead bumped me to a later flight without consulting me. it would have caused me to miss a connection flight I booked separately through EasyJet from Pairs to my home airport BIQ. I had to figure that out on my own. RUSH through Doha to make my 35 min connection and barely was allowed to board my onward Paris flight by the Qatar gate staff which was only cutting it close as a result of YOUR changes! Yet i was treated like i was somehow "late" and wouldn't be able to board ??? Again incredibly rude staff. Subsequently you lost my luggage because the connection was too tight. i landed on Friday and it didn't catch up to me until Tuesday. Not one person has said sorry or offered any restitution. And this is honestly what upsets me the most. I doubt anyone even reads this. pathetic. I work for a travel club and since Monday (so in 4 days) I have actively reached out to 4 clients to cancel and re-booked their Qatar airways flight to another carrier to get them to Johannesburg. They will be doing the same safari experience I did, but I will NOT recommend and book my clients on Qatar after my experience."

Barely had time to stop at the restroom before final security check where it was all so disorganized. After that check we were told that if we left we had to go through security again. Would have been nice to know that upfront. It was a madhouse going through that final security check and my husband's wallet was lost for a bit. No one really tried to help and we were told to move aside. Finally someone saw that it had fallen beside one of the counters. It was all horrible. Because of all this our 5 hour layover was a hassle with no time for food, etc. The whole airport experience was confusing and badly handled."

Cons: "Kayak/priceline re-booked my flight for my sister and I from SAA to BA, but failed to completely reissue us tickets. When we checked in for the flight, we had no ticket for the first leg of the flight, but we had tickets for the remaining flights. We immediately called to fix this problem, but due to slow customer service, we weren't issued tickets in time and the flight left without us. We missed all remaining connecting flights and were forced to buy New tickets. Now we have to work with kayak/priceline to get all my money back due to their error. We came back a day later than expected and missed going back to work."

I am a pure vegetarian & in all my flight the crew made sure that I got the correct food tray & it was not mixed with wrong mean (non veg.) by mistake. Unlike other flight where meal is just an obligation, Cathay made sure that the taste was very nice too. Full points to them. The quality of seats was good & nice leg space as well. The layover was way shortest as compared to other competitor flights. Overall the experiance was very pleasant & I highly recommend Cathay Pacific."

Pros: "The check in staff were only doing their job, by insisting that I had an onward ticket before they checked me in, as per Thai immigration ruling. Otherwise, if I did not have an onward ticket, they stated they could not check me in, and would refund my ticket. The problem is there are many ways of travelling out of Thailand, and I frequently visit Cambodia and Thailand via bus. How could I produce a bus ticket which I usually buy only a week before departure?"

Apparently the Thai immigration authorities have a condition for Swiss citizens to possess an onward ticket before they can enter Thailand, but this is the first time an airline has applied this as strictly, and has been as insistent, as Cathay Pacific. I have been in & out of BKK hundreds of times, and this is the first time ever an airline has applied this rule to the letter. So, bottom line, never again will I fly Cathay Pacific."

Passengers penned in on narrow aisles by trolleys, unable to walk around plane & risk of DVT. Passengers disempowered by restricted space, lighting, mobility. I want more control over my personal mobility &, lighting. Horrible headsets (bring my own). This flight departed 2.5 HRs LATE from JHB & the crew & cavin service was SLOW. NO requested second cup of tea brought - I waited 20 mins & climbed over trolleys to get another one, even though it was requested of cabin crew. Do they just ignore us? Or forget?"

Although the entertainment system had many options, going through lists and playing games required a lot of tapping, and in some cases pushing to make the system work. I felt like I had a woodpecker sitting behind me pushing on my head non-stop for over two hours. I was starting to go insane! Besides, it was so loud near the back of the plane that I couldn't hear anything through my cheap headphones."
Cons: "We could not eat any of the food. My son, my husband and I do not eat and/or are allergic to gluten, dairy, corn, soy and other food additives - as I mentioned above. Please have an option of food not swimming in sauces or cheeses. Plain organic chicken breast with steamed rice pilaf and steamed carrots would be nice. Maybe some steamed red potatoes and a piece of steak. An organic green apple for dessert. Forget the gluten, dairy, sugar or sauces that ruin a perfectly good ham or chicken and lettuce, tomato wrap! Or a salad swimming in dressing. We need to eat protein, not gluten for breakfast. Why not a hard boiled head!"

Literally ran from terminal A to B with my on board luggage over my shoulder. I had rechecked my main bag for the domestic flight but, nevertheless, it was left in JHB and had to be forwarded on a later plane. The folks meeting me in Cape Town had to wait an extra hour at the airport to collect it. Very unsatisfactory. As the national airline, SAA should pressure O R Tambo into improving their terrible immigration services."

We couldn't check in using on-line app. It wanted Visa information for USA travel even though we are US citizens, all info was entered into our flight, and we had already flown the outbound leg. The partner airline for the first leg checked us in, noted that our seats were separate and said they unable to change it. We called BA customer service - they were unable to change our seats. On arrival at Heathrow there was a huge wait at the BA processing center, when we finally presented our boarding passes and asked for a change the representative told us there was no time and we should run to our gate. I sat next to two people traveling solo so sitting together was obviously no problem Seating people on a combined booking separately, and never finding a solution other than "run to your gate, we are really behind" is verging on terrible customer service."

On this flight my tray was also broken so I couldn't ever put any drinks on it without them spilling everywhere. The flight attendants were the worst ones I have ever had on a flight. Very unpleasant and rude. They would barely pay attention to customers and would only gossip when they were making their rounds down the isles. One of them made an attempt to bump either my arm or my leg every time she walked paste me, not once apologizing. It was very clear that she was doing it on purpose. At one point she even kept bending over to get into one of her drawers on her cart and kept shoving her butt into my shoulder and in my face repeatedly without acknowledging me at all. I was returning from a trip overseas and my appearance was less than business casual but that is no excuse to treat me like that or any other customer riding on this airline. I enjoyed my flights with British Airways on my way to Europe. It's extremely unfortunate that these two airlines are sister companies and transfer people between them. From now on I will actively avoid taking any flights on a American Airlines unless I have absolutely no other option. Sadly, this may mean avoiding British Airways as well. It's sad when Allegiant Air offers better flights than such a reputable airline, such as this."

This was flight 49, a 777! Just prior to take off the flight attendant said I had to put away my iPad. (That's a first) Once airborne I attempted to recline my seat (32C), the button was completely pushed in to the armrest, broken. I told one flight attendant, she said she'd look into it. 20 minutes later I stopped another flight attendant, she said the cabin was completely booked & offered a seat in the very last row (which also doesn't recline!). Upright for 10 hours is not acceptable. Only 1 option for meal, other had ran out. Just prior to landing a different flight attendant said I had to put away my pillow (which was in my lap during take off & nothing was said then!) but said nothing at all about my iPad. Please ensure your flight attendants are consistent! I will not fly British Airways again."

Cons: "Heathrow Airport is a horrible mess. It seems our soft shell carry-on luggage that fit fine above us on our previous British airways flight was now too large and had to be check. This bothered me greatly as multiple individuals with hard shell carry-on luggage rolled by without so much as a word. It appeared that whomever decided the seating arrangements was drunk. All of our previous flights my wife and I were seated next to each other. This flight we were seated in two different rows. After several trades (I think four) we were able to sit next to each other. I had attempted 24 hours prior to the flight to select our seats but was unable to do this without paying $50."

Once in a container everything tastes like the onions. This has been done away with and my personal opinion is that the same should be done to the peppers. I understand they may deal with this on a daily basis but to me it was scary to think i may not get on a plane home when i paid over $1000.00 and it wouldn't let me check in early. I would have appreciated a little empathy."

Cons: "These were the smallest airplane seats I've ever encountered. On the leg from Seattle to London, I was in a window seat and my 6'2" husband was wedged in a middle seat. We were both cramping up halfway through the flight. When the person in front of me reclined his seat, my meal ended up in my lap. On the London-to-Seattle return trip, for some reason, the airline changed our seats so we weren't sitting together, and changed us both to middle seats. The agent at the gate said the plane was full, but managed to get us both aisle seats. I would highly recommend an aisle seat since it's easier to get in and out to stretch the legs."

I thought that was a bit odd since it is a British Airways flight and I had never had issued obtaining tea before. I saw them be pretty abrupt with other guests as well."

The most difficult part was to see one flight attendant working hard while another sat in her jump seat and read her Bible (commendable, but still....) Overall, I'd say it was a bare-bones flight. The cheese and crackers available for purchase for $8.49 was modest but good; it's hard to screw up cheese and crackers. I won't choose American again to make this particular leg of travel (again, I bought the return from an agency that said it was a British Airways flight, but ended up being operated by American Airlines.)"

Her customer service was terrible and she might do well in considering a different line of work. The seats were uncomfortable, but every airline has uncomfortable economy seating. Other than that, the airline lost my baggage. It has been almost two weeks since my flight and they still have not found it. I have been advised to file an itemized list of everything that was in my bag for reimbursement but I have been informed it will most likely be several months until I receive any payment. I have spent a lot of time waiting on hold to talk to anyone from baggage services and any time I have got through the people have been very unhelpful. I feel the airline should be going above and beyond to rectify the situation but thus far I have been doing all of the work. That is pretty poor seeing as the airline is completely at fault. WIth the terrible service that I have received so far, I am not holding my breath for that reimbursement check."

Cons: "Staff always seems curt, bitter, hassled on BA flights LHR to SEA. This is the 2nd x I've experienced this on an LHR to SEA flight. We were herded on like cattle, except for 1st & business class, it was a free for all, not by rows. Crew didn't seem to want to help anyone. I don't know if they're overworked by the time they head to SEA, but they need to get their attitudes in check. I'm tired too when returning home, I expect the staff to be as pleasant on my inbound as my outbound."
